  1. Eaten monkey in Panama, Guatemala, and Peru. "Carne de Res!" Eaten plenty of Iguana too.
  2. If you are not going to do anymore outside video, then I totally agree.
  3. None of those guys are "regular" Blackwater contractors. They were contracted by the organization to perform that demo (and other future ones). All are veteran CRW record holders. Chuck
  4. Just make sure it's in trim and has a good lineset on it and you will be fine. 1000 jumps is not alot for a ZP canopy if it's been taken care of a bit.
  5. Nice photos, David! Macca's suit looks crinkly-new.
  6. Kelly got it right: she sucked. She did not look comfortable at all and vocally she just didn't have any idea how to handle it. Chris got my vote, but I thought nearly everyone else did really, really good. Chuck
  7. Huh? You must not know the kind of cars I drive. Anyway, yes, I guess if you were exiting one of the south gates of Fort Carson you could bust down there in 45 minutes. The thing is, Carson is (at least it was when I lived in the springs) at the southernmost tip of town. Technically more Security/Widefield than Colorado Springs. I lived off Palmer Park, then later up off of North Union, so it would take you substantially longer from up there no matter if you took Academy or went straight over to the interstate.
  8. I think you are positively making the right decision for your dropzone, Martin. Chuck
  9. Looks like a -53 to me? What am I missing here?
  10. I know at least four wingsuit guys now jumping these new HD cameras (Perry was the first one, unless I am mistaken). Matt, which one does Perry jump?
  11. did you get to jump? I am sorry that we got winded out Friday right before I was to take you up.
  12. This is not a PST meet. Still, I seriously doubt anyone without prior competition experience will be allowed to compete. From experience, I can tell you that it's a fantastic venue. Chuck
  13. What are you doing in town? Do you want to stay at the DZ or in Fayetteville? Either way, I am sure I could accomodate you. Chuck
  14. My wife has around 600 jumps.
  15. I know Howard is in FL, and I don't think he is doing anything with Aeroglide. Howard consults for a number of companies (Flight Concepts, Jumpshack), but I had not heard about his "taking over" Aeroglide.
  16. We get $30 with school gear, and $30 more to jump our own gear here at Raeford. I own my own tandem rig, but still jump school stuff about as much as my own when we are backed up.
  17. What "was" the GB club is now the consolidated Fort Bragg Sport Parachute Activity. They jump at Raeford and, no, they don't get any military air support. They operate out of the building the GB club moved to in 1998 (or early 1999). Greg Offhaus is still the rigger and Charles McBride runs the club.
  18. Anybody want to hear my story about Walt's 1000th skydive at WFFC 2001?
  19. Please tell me your exaggerating I am totally fucking serious. We have guys that will sit on their ass and bitch half the day instead of just hopping in the Cessna and getting in the air. Like John said, we fly our PAC with six people. I have been jumping it everyday since I got back from Z-hills on Monday evening. I have done two tandems out of it: one poised from the inside and one rear-diving-flipping exit. Both were very easy. All the taller guys are pretty much sitting in the door and rolling out though. I have done six AFF's out of it in the past two days and don't have any problem using the same techniques I always use in an Otter or Caravan. The outside, lower step is really nice for the reserve-side guy. Taller guys might be more comfortable doing a three-outside floating exit. I have done three wingsuit jumps out of it as well. The straddle benches are short enough that you can straddle them with your legs already zipped in if you like. It's just as easy, though, to just put your back to the sides of the plane and keep your feet in the center aisle. You DO, however, have to be cognizant of the low tail on wingsuit exits.Paraclete 8-way has been training all day out of it. Their video guy, Amish (MattM on here), is whining about it a bit, but he'll be aight. Ray Ferrell (sic?) stopped by here in Deland's new PAC for gas two nights ago. It was his last gas stop on the way from Canada down there. Those guys' yellow, blue, white paintjob looks really sexy. It's my guess that the Deland PAC will replace the Porter that got balled up not too long ago. Anyway, ours is a really nice plane and I like it. Chuck
  20. Tandem drogue pockets work, but are a tad narrow at the mouth in my opinion. I made my own on all my three sets of comp shorts and pants out of spandex from the loft. Chuck
  21. You're right. That's one ghetto-ass slider.
  22. I voted for Taylor and Chris. Yes, I am one of those zealots that votes multiple times and runs the votes up.
  23. You ARE such a video hog, Mike! It's all good though; Omar says he has plenty of footage of you now. See you soon! Chuck
  24. Nice pics, Sam. To Avery: thanks for the very-stylish hat! I am sporting it as I type. Quote heard several times much to the chagrin of Voodew: "when are we leaving?" Another quote heard often on the ground as people landed off: "I bet Purple Mike led that dive!" More quotes: "stand on your dots!!", "move forward six inches!" "Don't follow Purple Mike!" "Is it time for coctails?" "No, you can't have that slot." I loved it. Chuck
