What is your price range? Are we talking cigalikes, like blu or the other gas station ones? IMHO those are a waste of time and money, they only give you the hand to mouth sensation. eGo kits are bigger, think cigar sized battery, and can be had for 45 bucks or so with two batteries and charger. Get a delivery device, cartomizers, clearomizer, carto tank, drip atomizer, and then you can use what ever flavors you like, 100s of companies sell "ejuice" I recently splurged on a provari, google it. It is variable voltage, made in USA, and should last me many years. $$$$ but damn is it a pleasure to use. Personal vaporizers can be an expensive habit, but at least they reduce harm compared to cancer sticks! Kept me from going back to them, I have no need. IMHO they are oblivious. Or at least they sure seems that way when they show up a cold as balls day giddy and wired, and all of the TI's are freezing and generally disgruntled. I tell them it is going to be cold, but they showed up, they want to go! I put them in gloves, maybe a neck gaiter. Otherwise you aren't exposed for long enough for it to matter. Face and ears get cold, but they warm back up. Thank God we stop in early November! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

The other problem is he didn't stop when he was gungho but had other problems getting in the way. It sounds like he stopped because he had a confidence problem due to the turbulence under canopy. If he is going to get the most out of this he needs to have a little face time, or at least a phone call with a head instructor. I have seen other friends stop, and then restart because of confidence issues. They should have flagged it for the new DZ and clearly told them that they were having canopy trouble, or xyz trouble, so they could get the extra focus and encouragement needed to get over the hurdle. Instead they took the approach of new DZ, this is behind me, and didn't get the extra help they needed to get past it. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P -
Depends, I have under armor cold gear receiver gloves, and I also have neoprene white water kayak gloves. I am jumping a 182 so I have a little bit of time on my side. Usually I keep them stuffed in my jump suit neck, and gear up, and then put them on. My altimeter is on a wrist band, and the camera glove I am using is just a pad with one strap to tighten. I can gear all up, throw on the gloves, and then slip the camera mount back on. I just like hooking up without gloves if at all possible. Did we even watch the same video? He impacted with that rock projection hard enough to bust big chunks off of it. Do you have any idea what an impact like that does to the human mind and body? At that point it all goes out the window. If you have the clarity to fight, then you fight, but reality is after you hit something hard, or you bounce after a low turn there is a good chance you aren't going to be with it any more to keep fighting and trying things. Maybe you keep trying to get the canopy flying, maybe you fly your canopy after the bounce, or maybe you don't! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

That is annoying, isn't it. Sorry. I find it amusing, not annoying. It is part of your shtick. If someone has enough negative energy that your post titles bother them, then changing your post titles probably isn't going to be enough to help them!! I don't eat my veggies well, but I can blend them. Kale is killer in terms of nutrients and antioxidants. Chia seeds are exactly what grows on the chia seeds. You can laugh all you want, the amount of fiber and omega threes in these things are amazing.

Get a good blender, make your own meal replacement shakes. Mine use a variety of different stuff. For breakfast I had one that had kale, unsweetend almond milk, chia seeds (high in fiber and omega 3's!, filling too), straw berries, wild blue berries, some macadamia nuts, vanilla whey protein powder. With a good blender the kale is actually very good. The whole thing is packed with good nutrients. I don't diet much, but I like reading diet books for healthy diet information. Really good one I like right now is the aztec diet. Mainly because it had a lot of information about food choice, and information on suposed super foods that were new to me like chia seeds, and quonia. Most of the technology on the north eastern rail systems in stone age. The metro north line is hobbled together with a bunch of crazy band aids. There was also a train collision earlier this year, and a extended power outage on the tracks as well. New rail cars are sexy and get voters attention, track maintenance, electrical systems, and logistic upgrades aren't nearly as sexy or pursued. The north east corridor should be getting mucho money for improvements, it is one of the areas in the country where rail makes a lot of sense. Been there done that, in summer camp when I was a wee lad. To add insult to injury the top on the container came off, and I ended up dumping a big pile of it on my crotch. I was down for the count, and there was no water nearby that was within crawling distance. So I had to resort to dousing the boys with a 2 liter bottle of Coke! I have a friend who jumped a Sweet(sweat)Hog , and that was only 3 or 4 years ago. It was so old (and worn) that the free bag fabric started wearing out. That is too old for a used rig, lol! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P -
Good first canopy? - 2nd hand Safire 2 209/229

Loaded appropriately, it totally is. X2. I think Safire2's and Pilots make excellent first canopies if they are loaded close to 1:1. They open nice, are somewhat resistant to sloppy packing, trimmed flat, fun turns, nice flare! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
