I like to think I track pretty darn well, better than a lot of the other people who are on the dives. I know this because I can watch them fall away when looking back between my legs. I had a excellent teacher when i was first starting who tracks like a glider! I don't mean drive while tracking, just general drive when turning points or changing slots. I agree 100% but it isn't in the budget right now. I would rather try to get 50 jumps in at Eloy this holiday boogie with the old suit, than sit at home with the new suit. The being said the suit was causing problems in dives I would be shopping for the suit right now. It has inside grippers, good fall rate... I have an old jump suit that was passed down from my ground school coach. It was his jumpsuit when he was new in the sport, it sat on the student rack for a while, and then he gifted it to me when I was just getting started in the sport. The jump suit is older, with small grippers and no booties. It is double layer so it is awesome in the winter. I think it might be an older tony suit, but who knows since it has no labels or brand embroidery. My biggest priority is finding the right material to patch the ass with. The first layer of fabric in the ass is all torn up from when it was still on the student rack. I want to put a cordura patch on there but I wasn't sure what was the common weight. Paragear had 1000 and 500 weight, but their color selection sucked. Is there any one that has a better selection out there besides a local fabric shop? The jump suit might have been red at one time, now it is a brick or mauroon color lol. The other thing I have been thinking about is coming up with some system to make removable booties, but I am not set on the idea. I thought with a ring of velcro around the shin area, and two fastex clips on either side of the shin might alow to you make removable booties. The velcro could keep the connection tight, and the clips would take the tension when you were putting the booties to work. I have been using the suit for bigger formations because it has a great fall rate for them, my four way suit is too fast, but I would like some more drive that I get with my bootie suit. I noticed the opositve the other day, I think I look at my altimeter more than I realized. When I started shooting video I ended up with a lot of video that was... exit, altimeter, altimeter, altimeter, altimeter. I looked at it way more times than I expected to see, but I normally didn't remember most of the glances. When the reading was important, ie I was nearing break off, I would remember looking at it. That sucks, I hope this gets resolved, because I wanted to send some work his way and he was very helpful and prompt when it came to my inqueries in the past. I jump with and without one. If I am using my primary rig it is turned on, and I recognize any limitations that it might add during a jump. Nothing changes for me if I am jumping a rig without one, I just have one less step before I gear up, I don't have to turn it on. By 100 jumps you should already have all the skills you need for a hoop drive. If not you should start looking for golf clubs. Don't worry about it, just have fun. If there are a bunch of people on the jump have the organizer stress being patient and each taking a turn. It can be ugly if multiple people just go for it at once. Here is my take: If you want to pull high to practice canopy then you should be doing a hop and pop or a high pull. If you are pulling high out of a rw jump because you are uncomfortable tracking or you are uncomfortable with your new canopy then you shouldn't have been on that jump in the first place. Yes and no. If you use a lawyer they are going to go to court on your behalf on the date on the ticket. In NJ you don't normally fight the ticket. When you show up you will wait for the court prosecutor to call your name. You pow wow in the back of the court room, and unless you have a gazillion tickets or it is a hit and run they will offer your the chance to plead to unsafe driving. Unsafe is normally a higher cost ticket, but it is no points. They offer this in almost every circumstance. You can only plead this twice in a certain number of years. You can do this yourself, you don't need a lawyer, unless you can't get to court yourself. The lawyer shouldn't charge you too much because they end up representing a number of clients on one day normally.
