    I think his point is that there are plenty of snag points that we willfully accept on a regular basis (even on our students) when jumping. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Will a 1000 jump canopy fly like a new one? I don't know enough about the variables but I think we might be oversimplifying things when we makes this claim. My guess is that porosity increases due to seam holes changing size with time. I also find it hard that the fabric itself stays dimensionally the same over the course of its life. Any thoughts? Personally I think many USPA members don't give a shit one way or the other. As long as they can send their 50 dollars in and jump at their local dz then they are happy.     Shit... I agree with Gabor! A better question would be, Chevy or Ford. Or bush or shaved? What one person really likes in a canopy another is going to dislike. That is where demos come in handy. I really liked the Mamba, but I disliked the XFire 2. I liked the heavier toggle pressure on the Mamba, disliked the super light toggle pressure on the crossfire, I felt disconnected from the canopy. My friend loved his XFire, hated the Mamba for the exact oposite reasons. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

The fact that some people warned you about a downsize and you have done well despite the warnings hardly qualifies you to make judgements about Chris and his canopy flight. I have been trying to keep my opinions out of this thread because I have only been jumping for just short of two years now. Even so I have already seen two people nearly die after slamming their ass into the ground under canopy. These jumpers are warning Chris for a reason. They have been forced to see things that makes the two accidents I saw pale in comparison. That Michael is real world experince. In short, shut up and jump, or shut up and learn.     Can you two get a room??? So how would you compare the different characteristics of the Vision to the Mamba? Less steeply trimmed? Lighter toggle and riser pressure? Shorter recover arc, longer than the pilot? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    I am a gadget person... If I am just doing a hop and pop I use my Viso, and my Optima if I have my helmet on. If I am doing a freefall jump I usually have the Optima in my ear, the Altitrack on my hand, and my Viso on my wrist. All three have been stellar products! Now all I need is a GPS on my forearm, and I will be fully stocked with gadgets lol. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Well... you got about 3 weeks... you still could. Yeah, ask him about the time his wife was explaining to the Cal City Police Dept how a bunch of drunk skydivers got a rental car "upside-down" on the landing area one Saturday night. I will definetly ask him about it the next time I see him!! Honestly I was looking at plane tickets when I first saw this thread, but I think the trip to Eloy this winter is going to spread me a little too thin!

    Jr. has been my pilot since I started in the sport. He allways told awesome stories about Cal-City.

    I am glad I am not crazy, I also found the crossfire 2's recovery arc to be very similar to the pilot. I was comparing a crossfire 129 to a pilot 132. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Talk about a huge load of hooey, put down the crack pipe. When you accept a skyride certificate you are supporting a company that lies to customers in order to cheat them out of their money, one that engages in intellectual property theft, and operates in general like a bunch of scumbags. More dropzones should take skyride so that the people getting sold their vouchers won't be ripped off? Talk about putting the carriage before the horse!! You are the company that you keep. And if you are in bed with skyride you are just as unethical. You might not have said this, it looks like you just screwed up with the quote function, but the comments above are still ludacris, even if you didn't write it lol "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
