Depending on your point of view, yep... "Almanac" roughly translated apparently means "Calendar of the Heavens." The two used to be tightly tied to each other. I feel there is a foundational relationship between the evolution of astrology and astronomy, and most cultures of the world would agree with that. The Farmers Almanac is the oldest, longest running publication in the US, FWIW. I use it fairly regularly, although the last two years have been a little bit annoying with all the fru-fru spiritualism stuff ("I'll predict your future for 1.99 on my toll-free hotline" sort of crap). Myself, I feel certain global events may be predicted with reasonable accuracy based on calculators older than the printed word, but what astrology has become overall in recent times? Can't buy into it. What it once meant? yeah...I can accept a lot of it. It's mostly just math and predictive behavior.

Are you sure it's the camera, not the subject? It'll always "look like crap" if you're trying for HD, due to the resolution being dropped by as much as 75% depending on the speed. Step up to the HVX200 or better still, the Sony EX1 if you need high resolution overcrank. You might try it with someone opening, it'll take good timing on your part to start it, but yes, it'll be pixilated. Using a time resample like Twixtor, or using some of my slow motion tricks in Sony Vegas will do a reasonable job in HD.

I don't think you can discount all of it. The earth is unquestionably affected by universal elements, some of which can be mathematically predicted, right? Do you believe the Farmers Almanac is generally correct?

Which plugs are you referring to? On the Tonfly, the hole plugs are rounded off and flat on top. No snag hazard of any kind, until one adds a ringsight and/or a still camera. Are we still talking about the Tonfly CC1, or another helmet?

hmmm....your links take me to a mostly empty template/incomplete webpage? HERE is my review of the Tonfly CC1 camera helmet. Not quite finished setting it up, but almost done.

For Whom will you Vote in the Presidential Election
DSE replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
Are you implying that "enchanted"= "evil?" My opinion is that "enchanting" leadership might be exactly what we need to get rid of the wicked witches in Washington. I'd vote for John Kallend over any one of the likely two candidates we'll be faced with in November. -

I think you don't understand The Mouse' platform, and I submit he is less evil than Hillary. -
Nero: Open Smart Start Select the kind of DVD you want (Video, Audio, Data) It'll open a browse window. Dump the files you want on the DVD into that window. You can also drag/drop em' to that window from Explorer Press the burn button It'll ask if you want multisession or not. Generally the answer is that you don't. That's it.

That pretty well sums up my opinion, too. Given the speed at which Romney got this press release out, it would seem like he had some sour-grapes press releases ready to roll to try to stem the blood-letting. If nothing else, IMO, it's not very presidential to be issuing "He cheated" press releases before an electoral process has even closed. Other than Utah's 88%, Romney didn't win big anywhere, so rather than whining "He cheated," he might take a step back and recognize people see him for the charismatic elitist that he is and they voted to say exactly that. I was stunned to see him lose so badly in California.

Citation?

I'm using 8GB sticks, and ordered a 16GB a few weeks ago (they're not shipping yet). 8GB stick is no problem for the CX

Very surprised/chagrined to read this story of how Romney has claimed McCain cut "back room deals" with West Virginia folks. I'd say Huckabee is the upsetting factor, and McCain is better for it. [edit] Found the press release from Romney on his website, confirming the above. I had my doubts that a candidate would make this kind of accusation so early on.

Rub it in, rub it in. Do you believe in Karma?

You're right of course, if the Xfer speeds really are only 2.5MBps, it'll be slow. Michael Diz of Meritline tells me that this is 2 year old information, and that the new model is faster. The new model *does* use a SATA drive, and although I don't have the numbers...it's *supposed* to be faster. i'm not going to order a SATA drive for it until I have the case, but very much looking forward to playing with the speeds. I won't use it much for skydiving as I have a monster desktop at the DZ anyway. I don't know the Xfer specs, but it sucks up a full 8GB stick in about 7 mins.

My significant other says it's not so bad.

Pretty bored with the pathetic "I'm still in the race" speech from Huckabee. CNN must be desperate to fill a broadcast void, because this pithy pile of platitudes and parables is pitiful.
-
Uhh...you haven't seen the weather in Utah, have you? We've got 300% more snow this year than expected, and expecting more. It'll be a long while til we're in skydiving weather. I've got the Valentines Day event, and then I'm out of the sky until May 2. We'll be lucky to see the DZ open before tax day, but we're hoping. I can help you photoshop Scott though.

That's even more depressing. You ordered yours 72 hours before I did, and you're receiving it a month earlier? Well...mine'll be newer than yours, so it'll fly better when I do get it..
-
Then they'll have to go through this expense to get your $10. But since they're in the business of making money, they would calculate that $10 is not worth it, and you'll get nothing from it anyway. It costs $17.00 to FedEx me a mechanical check for .96 from iTunes. You really believe they wouldn't go after royalties? Of course they would and do. You might consider either spending some time studying BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, and compulsory laws for every various region out there, or go get a recording contract, make a record, and see how it works. It's not that difficult.

These are very comfortable. If he's practicing the same riff over and over, it can become annoying, but that's how you get to Carnegie Hall.
-
Go get a record deal, and you'll understand why. I recommend getting a 25/75 admin publisher, it makes it less work for you and more for them, and you get to walk away with more of what's collected.

No, I don't.

It ain't so straightforward as he might lead you to believe. If it was, you wouldn't see hard-core DIY'ers groaning about it in the DVInfo.net and COW forums. but it can be done. LANC itself isn't in the cable/protocol, but some of what LANC allows for is in the protocol. There are many "cheap" sources of the D plug though, so he shouldn't have any difficulty locating those. Nevertheless, no one should be "worried" about it. If it wasn't February, they'd already be out by now.

Good luck! Smile a lot and make good eye contact. That's what we look for in our staff that works with the public. Gander Mountain is an AWESOME company. Their store in MN is sweet.

Why do you want to see Rambo in more sex scenes? I mean, besides that whole having a penis thing, isn't he getting pretty old? Blues, Dave Why do you think his shirt was on for the 83 kills in the last Rambo?
