  1. Is it set for 'Slow' mode? Mine did that too until I changed the setting; since then it hasn't done it at all. I wear it on my wrist and use an Optima in my helmet. I'm very satisfied with both. Yes, it's set for slow mode. it's been looked at by half a dozen people over the past 6 months. I've received a new unit from L&B.
  2. I wear two logging devices; Neptune consistently records false exit altitude, while Altitrack consistently records altitude that matches my chest mount/analog. Altitrack usually confuses a hard dive to a flock with a deployment, Neptune doesn't. Neptune records time that matches with other flocker's Neptunes. Doesn't matter if I wear these on my helmet, ankles or wrists, readings on both units are flawed in one way or another.
  3. Really? I replaced my broken Pro-Track with another Pro-Track because it seems to give far better data than my Neptune. The Neptune is all over the map with regard to fallrates and has been since I got it (last year). I've assumed it just reports "snapshots" in time that don't take into account hand movement, etc, as opposed to averaging over some longer time interval. Blues, Dave Do you fly a wingsuit?
  4. Nazareth did a recording of "Love Hurts" with the Munich Philharmonic, it's on "The Very Best Of" album. This album is not available as a download, I've searched for a used copy; it's out of print. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzlfKts8Xx4 Anyone out there got a CD they're willing to sell? the YouTube version is too lo-fi for what I need.
  5. I think the Phantom 2 is a dark horse...flies very nicely (what the hell do I know, I've only jumped the P2 twice)
  6. A small gathering has turned into something a little bigger, so wanted to invite anyone within hearing range to join in to this weekend gathering. Scott Callantine Justin Shorb Avery Badenhop Scotty Burns Monkeyboy Rick Hough shawn mclaughlin John Bast Jason Carter DSE are just a few of the guys coming in to celebrate a special weekend. Justin Shorb is organizing the loads, we have food being brought in and Tshirts for those that let us know they're coming in advance. TonySuit has graciously sent a few demo suits to be tried out. There are a few FFC slots available for Sat only. Hope to see some of you come play with the flock and the Flock University boys. http://www.skydiveutah.com http://www.flockuniversity.org
  7. should have been, yes. If you didn't receive your prize (other than Gatite, as there are some issues with NTSC/PAL and availability_) please drop me a PM and I'll make sure it's sorted out ASAP.
  8. I wear three... Altitrack on my wrist Galaxy on my chest or mudflap Optima in my helmet Optima is wired to my camera indicator, so not only do I hear it, I see it too. IMO, Optima is the best audible out there. I like the NeoXS as well, but it doesn't have output for light.

Wow...two flights in...who needs grippers? This suit flies itself!!! Instant smooth right. Twitch the right eye, you're turning right, etc. Deployment the first time was interesting, as the wings are hard. Nothing like the old style M1 at all. Didn't unzip arms on first jump, you don't *need* to, but I think I prefer to. Damn...super fun, super far, super fast. Nice job, Tony. This suit is da bomb! You could easily sleep while flying, it is so smooth.

I flew the SM1 (or did it fly me?). I'm sure I could grow into it. I didn't buy an M1 because it was bigger than the Blade, I bought it for three main reasons; -VERY fast to get into. Jumping camera, seems like the "non-working" loads are never planned, so getting a suit on fast is valuable. ~the new design is/seems very safe. I like that I can reach my toggles without doing anything. ~There was no point/sense in buying a suit the same size as the Blade. Campos needs to gain a lot of width and shrink a few inches in height before he can look like KungFu Panda...Scotty Burns owns that role anyway.
  11. that's sorta what I was thinking. "Early summer" might mean "early Indian Summer," I suppose.
  12. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?username=howardwhite; Visit the History and Trivia forum. You can't miss him. He's likely forgotten more about skydiving history than most folks will ever know.

Only the rig zippers now (don't know if that's the right nomenclature?). The armwings are sewn entirely to the body length. With the new arm system, you only need lift your knees to reach toggles. It works well in theory and on the ground. I can touch the top of the doorjamb in my home when I bend/lift my knee. Not sure yet how I feel about no thumb loops, instinct tells me I want them, but tomorrow I'm going to jump without unzipping the arms and see how that feels, just to experience it. I imagine that the arms should be unzipped regardless.
  14. Any word on the new N3? I tried ordering one recently, and was told they're not quite yet available. I appreciate the Altitrack, but it still doesn't give accurate readings compared to a Neptune 2. The N3 is likely what will push me over the edge to Paralog and new altimeter, since the Altitrack consistently reports incorrect data.
  15. Very nicely done. Looks like the Mantle is a real keeper.

FedExman brought me my new M1 just in time for the weekend. Thanks to Justin Shorb and Patty for putting it on the truck for me. Has the new arm system, back vent, arm vent, fits perfectly. Very impressive service from TonySuits. Jeff measured me in Elsinore for the WS Camp, Tony measured me when I was in ZHills 3 days later, and rec'd my suit today. That includes the wait time for a custom embroidery job with my company logo on the tail. I'm bummed about one thing though. I only got ONE Tonysuit sticker, and I need two. Seriously...can't wait to fly. If the clouds were not a factor, I'd already have been up in it. Thx again, guys!
  17. about Norman Kent/"Get Smart" Congrats, Norman!
  18. PA? No no... Just an innocent statement of fact.... you really do? Wow... That's just......wrong.
  19. According to YouTube, it's not yet "100% legal" as they still haven't hammered out the content identification system, although they're working towards that end, and prosecution for unauthorized use is extremely unlikely if the music came from the WMC. It's a landmark deal if they can complete it; it's been nearly 2 years since they announced it. Bigger news this week, IMO, is that the 1st District Court struck down Yoko Ono's plea for a copyright claim against "Expelled."
  20. I have around 100 jumps on my CX, no broken up parts, etc
  21. Ummm....see the GREEN? According to my betters, that's a pass to the front of the line. But I could be bribed. See? Self-fulfilling prophecy, it really *is* starting to become like YouTube.
  22. PA? Nuh uh! please tell me you don't wear sox with your Tevas I don't wear Tevas, but if I did...I'd never wear socks. Well, except for my black ones with Mickey printed on em' Seems to me that "socks n' sandels is an insult, and therefore a PA.
  23. You probably are already aware that additional blocks for toll-free listings are already proposed. It's more likely (and already happening) that you'll see more not less toll-free. 800, 877, 866, 888...more to come. Nice to see the law passed in TN, and it probably will set some sort of framework for other states, but I'd be willing to bet this law has some major amendments next session. It's a global world, even though we're more or less a local industry. Language that prevents businesses from operating on a global scale will likely be challenged the second it prevents someone in TN from operating in Memphis when their offices are in Nashville, for example. Or...maybe you've got an office in Nashville, but most of your actual operation is in Dallas, LA, or NYC. In the case of my biz, I have an office in Utah, LA, and NYC. But my website doesn't indicate which office you're calling. I don't like Skyride anymore than anyone else, but this law doesn't seem to have the legs that'll kick Skyride off the global platform, beginning with a revolution in Tennessee. One can hope, tho. If nothing else, congrats on actually doing something, rather than sitting on your butt whining about it like most.
