  1. They are running right on the schedule posted on their website. I ordered mine end of November and it shipped last week of February (a week before the expected ship date on my invoice). Someone else from my dz ordered a Wings and her's shipped on (give or take a day or two) on the expected ship date on her invoice. It would have left sooner but they were waiting for her payment. I would suggest getting your payment in a few weeks before it is scheduled to ship so there is no hold up waiting while they wait for your payment. Mine wasn't tie-dyed but it was articulated and quite a few bells and whistles. Same with Jessica's rig. And it was well worth the wait!!! And if you think about it, 13-14 weeks isn't bad. I've seen some people post that they have waited 8 months for their container with other companies. Credit and Kudos to Wings!!!
  2. My fiance has "DIJA C ME". Do you have a PMS number yet? If so, you could something like "PMS 515" (That's my number though so you can't use it. Or if you have a license number, something like "Axxxxx". Those two ideas would be personal to an would never change. FREEFALLR EYEJUMP and of course, I'm sure everyone's favorite: BOOBIES
  3. I've got a few more jumps on those ZP EXE's at Wissota than L.O. has. I haven't jumped an original Sabre but the vast majority of my jumps have been on Silhouettes. I've jumped all four sizes we have (235, 185, 170 and 150). They open beautifully (dare I say better than my Silhouette), and fly pretty similiar to a Silhouette. I would say that the ZP EXE's are a tiny smudge bit more docile than a Silhouette. You'll get plenty of flare at the end. It is by far not anything near a hot rod of a canopy but are great for student transitioning or for an experienced jumper taking a more concervative approach to canopy flight.
  4. I don't pay anything monetary, but if I did it would be $45 and the repacks are good.
  5. Three of us did that one time. My favorite was the Colt Anaconda 44 magnum. Mike said I let out the craziest giggle the first time I fired it. I need one of those!
  6. Here's a few fun things we do at Skydive Wissota when we aren't jumping. * Creeper Wars--Two people on creepers on each side of the creeper pad. Pushers push them towards each other (off set). Creeper people grab arm to arm and convert forward speed to circular speed. First one to fall off the creeper pad and hit the grass has to take their shirt off. Highly recommended for female skydivers. Can be made more festive (and challenging) in very dark conditions with glow sticks. * If clouds are low in winter (and you live somewhere where it snows), tie a children's plastic sled behind a car or truck. See how fast you can get going before A) sledders fall off or B) you reach the end of the runway. DZO's--you may want to make sure your waivers cover this sort of thing before you allow them on the runway. * On windy days, get a pick up truck and take turns seeing if everyone/anyone is strong enough to hold a pilot chute or drogue as you gun it up and down the runway. Warning: It is not suggested that you wrap the bridal around your wrist when doing this. Tip: Make sure the car you are using has enough gas in it (no matter what the gauge says) so you don't have to push the truck down the runway and use airplane fuel to get to the closest gas station. * Marty Ball!!! Best to use one of those Nerf footballs that have the whistle built in. Gather as many throwable objects and head to the landing area. Play catch with frisbee, soccer ball, etc. Wait until someone turns their back and try to get them in the back (or face) with the Marty Ball. Having the football that whistles makes it some what fair because they sort of have a warning.
  7. Yeah...something like that. I do not want to be one of those people that are quick to offer up suggestions and then runs away when the time comes to do something about it. Below is just something I typed up as a potential beginning. I am only a coach (soon to be instructor in April
  8. Your arguement could be used for threads about Scott Lutz as well. Because newbies don't know that its been rehashed over and over and over again and don't know how to use the search function it makes it okay to keep having threads pop up about Scott Lutz because they don't know any better? If we had a sticky about downsizing, then newbies wouldn't need the search function. It'd be right there on top for them to see. If the situation warrented personal feedback, then post away. However, look at pretty much every single downsizing thread. The feedback is 99.9% always the same, and 95% of the time it turns into a pissing match about the OP looking for someone to tell him its okay, which should be his instructors and/or S&TA's responsibility. And I look at these threads in hopes of learning something new and understanding canopy flight better.
  9. We should have a sticky post at the top of safety and training for downsizing. It should hold what every single downsizing threads leads to: Billvon's checklist, talk to your instructors, links to manufacturer recommendations, etc. And then make threads about downsizing against forum rules.
  10. My parents have been divorced for 26 years, but my grandparents will hit something like 66 or 67 years this summer. Grandpa finally gave up driving this year and although Grandma is legally blind, she still does their finances (its amazing what you can do with a light and a magnfy glass). They are the ones that are going to do the "Funky Chicken" on their 75th wedding anniversary!*
  11. Not sure but Skydive Wissota might be closer to you than Skydive Twin Cities. Come visit us!!! $15 from 10k' (182s) plus an awesome night life. And why wait until spring hits?!?! We're open all year round! Spend the weekend in the clubhouse and save on lodging fees. I usually come up with something for dinner so save on food. If I know we have "special visitors" for the weekend, I'll grab a prime rib from work or make something awesome for dinner. Please...visit us!!!
  12. Depending on what route I take through the Cities its between 121 and 119 miles one way. Friday nights with traffic can take anywhere between 2 and 3 hours. Sunday evenings take about 1 hour 40 minutes. I spend about $25-30 each weekend in gas. Once my house sells, I'll be about 60 yards from the clubhouse and two of the planes will be in my "backyard" at night.
  13. He originally said he wouldn't do a forth but apparently with the new baby on the way, he needs the money. Clicky
  14. I saw the thread title and was post the Bourne series is the best series. And yes, they are the process of starting the process (or something like that) to make a fourth.
  15. Skydive Wissota in WI also has $15 jumps. 4000' or under $10 4001' to 6000' $11 6001 to 7000' $12 7001' to 8000' $13 8001' to 9000' $14 9001' to 10000' $15 We have three 182's. If we are doing 8 or 12 ways, we'll go to 11,000' ($16) or 12,000' ($17) respectively.
  16. Our club rigger is in the process of getting all our student and tandem rigs in date (reserves). He has been using a humidifer to help off set the wonderfully cold, dry WI weather. He said that it has made a difference.
  17. Our holiday party 2005 we got to go to a casino for a night. Our bar tab for dinner was about $2500. We haven't had a holiday party since.
  18. I also got one from him. I didn't bother to reply seeing as the guy registered 3/1/08, never logged on but could send me an email on a reply to a classified.
  19. With the plastic protector it does fit.
  20. I don't know about the Hurricane but I helped a skydiver at my dz with mounting a Solo on their Oxygn A3. I put the plastic protector around the Solo and then used the plastic mounting bracket for a Pro-Track or Dytter (I can't remember which one). The plastic protector makes it big enough to stay in the bracket and there are two black rubber band safety stows to keep it attached if necessary.
  21. I am incrediably jealous!!!! I was too young for their concerts "back in the day" but did go and see the first two rounds of their reunion tours (with full make up). They put on an awesome concert! And it was truely and honor to see all four original members of KISS (Ace, Gene, Paul and Peter).
  22. I listed some reserves for my club today. I got an email from someone with a user name that they have never logged on with. They registered 3/1/08 and emailed me today (3/4/08). If they have never logged on, how can they respond to an ad? (It was an email that was the form of a dz.com forwarded reply).
