Sex offender registration...always appropriate?
Royd replied to livendive's topic in Speakers Corner
A 13 year old molesting a 9 year old.. COME ON... the boy BETTER get in trouble. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not responding to your post in particular. It's just closest to the point that I want to present. I find a bit of hypocrisy in the whole thing, especially with children. Does anyone remember,"If it feels good, do it."? Well, the same generation that revelled in sexual freedom, now has a laissez faire attitude about teenage sexuality, even though we have seen the end results of such foolishness. In sex education classes, self control and responsibility are pooh poohed as something that is not achievable,so we show them how to do it, instead. Teenage motherhood is embraced as a desirable goal in certain segments of society. Whoremongers who father children by several different women, and then leave them in the lurch, is a badge of honor. Yet, we want to lay down hard rules that they should have known about and obeyed, if those same actions affect us personally. Maybe we should get back to teaching that the sexual relationship should also be a spiritual relationship, but, of course, that would go against the liberal agenda of taking the idea of God out of everything, and we sure can't have that happen. Looks to me like the chickens are coming home to roost! -
I keep my windows open from Oct to May usually. When I walk into the house in the evening and it is still warmer than the outside temp, especially if it is humid, then the ac has to come on just to prevent mold from forming.

Child abuse cover ups - it's not just for Catholics anymore.
Royd replied to jakee's topic in Speakers Corner
From previous threads, I'm of the understanding that we are just one step above animals and really have no ability to control our natural urges. How can we possibly tell someone that something is not right to do and expect them to take the advice to heart? If we really don't believe that telling ordinary teenagers that random acts of sex will potentially screw up their lives, how can we expect to convince someone with a demented mind not to follow their urges? -
Congratulations! I just went over 200 today, myself.

I think we ought to have a nationwide registry for thieves. That way the neighborhood would know who to look for when stuff goes missing. -
MOST of the time I see and stalk animals and do no more than count coup on them... QuoteNot so hard to do with a high powered scope. No?

Devil's Advocate. Isn't homosexuality in the DNA. They all get a pass regardless of their deviant behavior. Maybe it's in the blood of the pedophile. They just can't help themselves. -

This is nothing more than semantics. If a man seeks out male victims as his source of sexual pleasure, whether they be 6 or 16 yr. old, he is a homosexual. The word 'pedophile' is just attached because the victims are children. This does not set him apart from his natural desire for males. If his victims are male, he is a homosexual, a predator, a pedophile and a rapist. If his victims are female, he is a heterosexual, a predator, a pedophile and a rapist. I'm tired of the 'gay' community getting immunity just because they are a'minority.' What needs to happen here is to have some neutral oversite on the ogranizations that tend to excuse bad behavior in the ranks. Think'The Blue Wall.' The problem is that there are very few truly unbiased people who could do the job. -
Ya gotta ask yourself, would you rather have martial law or Sharia Law. I'd imagine it'd be pretty hard to hold a speed diving record wearing a burka.

These people are homosexuals and have become experts at seduction and coercion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, let's look at the scenario. Male priests or pastors of any given denomation, especially ones that require celibacy, seduce ignorant, innocent young boys. They generally aren't going after girls. I would say there's a pretty serious tie, in this instance, between homosexuallity and child abuse. It's just that it's unPC to call a spade a spade. -
Sounds to me like you just have a problem with a man being a man. Being a mountain man was one the cool images of the past when I was a kid.

I think that it just rolls off of the tongue more easily.

The only problem with someplace being the place to be: it gets crowded and nobody goes there anymore.

And how many people who are inrolled in these high dollar schools, do you think, got there of their own accord? I would say, illumni with large contributions has a sway on who gets in.

I'm assuming you are also speaking of Mike Nifong and the Duke rape case. There's an idealog for you.

So that's why a bunch of do nothing, no legitimate ideas, cry babies decided to start the race before the gun has sounded?

I was the only lefty in my household growing up. My mom used it as an excuse to not teach me things, from tying my shoes to sewing. Because of that, I have never liked complaining about how "difficult" the world is for us lefties. Because the world is geared towards right-handedness, we are much more ambidextrous and more flexible in learning to adapt to things. I'm happy I'm a lefty and I always find that fellow lefties are the coolest people I know. In the work that I do, some things have to be done upside down and backwards for the finished product to look good. I see a lot of right handed people scratching their heads.

Didn't you mean to say, cold, dead ear.

The whole lot of them have been living by the sword for centuries. The herd is just thinning itself. -

All of these numbers and yet, no statistics on the number of enemy dead due to combat. I know somebody is keeping a tally. -

I guess you would be basing that on US casualty count. No? -

The topic of the thread was about abuse in the Church of England. Jakee wants to point the finger at religion as the cause. Most abuse, especially in the Catholic Church was man on boy. You can play all of the semantic games that you want with child molester or pediphile, but these people are homosexuals first and foremost, and know how to target easy prey. Let's agree about one thing. They are all sexual deviants.
