Force of habit... $1,000,00 US, but see post above, I've just downsized to £ sterling. but what do I know
-
Thank you all.. The bet is based on real world through an atmosphere, hence why I said fuck dropping them in a vacumn, where elephants and feathers fall at the same speed. Casch that was exactly the analogy I tried to convince them with - 2 balloons equal size etc one blown up with air, one full of water, which one will hit the ground first.. erm.. hello?!?! I also tried to invert the equasion somewhat - use wind resistance as a positive - a supertanker and a dinghy, both with a sail the same size , so air and water resistance a factor but its all the same..who's gonna win the race? This dude has an aeronautical engineering degree yet still he can't see it.. and his friend is a non-current skydiver, and he can't see it either. I'm gonna get real and make the bet something that might actually be paid, £100, thats 5 more jumps for me

Hoping someone can help me out here as I stand to win £1,000,000 US $ - at least that was the bet, I may be settling for Two spheres of equal size with equal surface resistance/drag.. one full of lead, one full of feathers, dropped from higher than the leaning tower of pisa i.e an aeroplane.. do they hit the gound together, or is weight/density/mass a factor. The lead ball will fall faster no? Why else would skydivers wear weights? And fuck dropping them in a vacumn.. Hope I don't stand corrected.. Sam but what do I know

There's an interview with JS on skydiveradio.com , search their archived programmes. but what do I know

I'll just look for the table with most the empty glasses on and listen for the loudest commotion. If that fails I'll assume the neutral box man position and wait for someone to dock.. but what do I know

If you didn't agree paid in full due date or non-refundable deposits with him, I'd consider it fair to call and text him again giving him 1,2,up to you weeks notice to pay in full or split the difference and forfeit £100 If he's not even acknowledging you it may not be that easy.. but what do I know

With the benefit of a few beers on a sunny friday afternoon... jar of molasses = black magic WTF am I doing here !?!?! Jaden - honest I am as the day is long. Find me a guy that'd disagree.. a few hours in the sun never hurt anyone Everything else purely FYI !!!!carpe diem!!!! but what do I know

I don't know if everything you could do with a penis and/or vagina has a name, but I reckon everything you could think of to do has probably been done by someone somewhere.. what an imaginative buch us humans are! Don't know the name for a jar of molasses, but I heard that those detained at her majesty's pleasure / incarcerated in the slammer favour a jamjar full of worms. Don't know what that's called either, but I bet it'd feel better for a few hours in the sun first... eeeugh!! Jaden are you still liking the way I think !?! but what do I know

'tis written dude invite me to the wedding screaming seagulls and chocolate starfishs aside, I'm opening a book on whether Crazy Tarot Card Chick turns out to be the woman of MagicGuys dreams. I'll give odds on 10/11 they're shacked up in the next 5 years (margin for mishaps), 5/4 shes still stalking. Hope those odds make sense. Don't do fractions guv' May have been said allready, but don't ever let her read the previous thread, else all bets are off. your friendly dropzone.com bookie

Something I don't do it specifically for skydiving, but I reckon helps A LOT is Tai Chi. It's not exactly aerobic, or muscle building, in fact the only muscles you should be using are your thigh muscles. Its all about being soft and the physical relaxation of your body. You use power, not strength, which is how come you see a 60 something 5ft nothing lady throwing a hulk of a man quite literally across the room. An analogy my teacher uses is steel wrapped in cotton wool. Like skydiving, it's not for everyone, but I reckon they compliment each other beautifully. but what do I know

Who would you like to win the war in Iraq?
iamsam replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
I vote your question is invalid. The US and its allies have won allready. The 'liberation' was tactical, primarily in the pursuit of oil, the $$$$billions$$$ awarded to preferential bidders for the 'rebuilding' of Iraq probably came in handy too. Sorry to say there's been plenty blood spilled, be it US, UK, Irqai or A.N Other to acheive this goal. And thats the truth. Shame. but what do I know -
Good for you that's exactly how I feel. There has got to be magic - don't settle for anything less. I don't think you will... but what do I know

Hello you perfect angel In vaguely geographical order, I have been to.. Scotland France Germany Spain Italy Switzerland Greece Croatia Morrocco Maldives India Nepal Thailand Malaysia Indonesia Singapore Australia Fiji USA Cuba If you want to know about my experiences in any of these countries PM me, but as you mention Indonesia..it was only Bali, and only about 3 weeks, but all the Asian countries I've been to I found Indonesia to be the place you need to stay most alert. It's a beautiful beautiful island and the people are welcoming and friendly, but don't get on the wrong side of them. Perhaps due to their relatively recent colonial past, I felt a bit of a chip on some peoples shoulders.. Of course one persons experience will be totally different from anothers, but if yoyu take anything from this post make it this; take the road less travelled and get out of the tourist ghettos. You'll experience a more authentic taste of their culture and meet more genuine people. Lots of places, especially in Asia, are IMHO somewhat homogenised. I'd say of all these places the one I want to go back to most is India.. but I'd rather see you in Brazil! Hope that helps but what do I know
