    How many have sent pics in to Parachutist? Erm, none. I don't (yet) fly camera, but do earn a living as a professional photographer. Perhaps that helps explain my view. If i give away images, I don't eat. Or jump. No they don't. They publish your picture, paid for or not, that's it. You keep ©, at least I'd assume so?!?! Apple are asking you to submit pictures and agree that by doing so you have given them the copyright. You wouldn't then be be able to submit it to parachutist, whether they're paying you or not, because you don't own it anymore. You gave it to a corporation who can then use it how they wish, instead of paying a premium price to a picture library or photographer for a licence to use an image. There's a significant difference between a specialist/niche low circulation sports magazine and an internationl multii $$ computer company, you'd price your work accordingly. At least you wouldn't be lining Bill Gates pockets but what do I know

    cheap shot by apple who should do better and sort out their hardware issues as well the overpriced fuckers still love my mac though Red Bull tried the same a few years ago in an extreme sports competition for professional photographers. Its a blatant rights grab pure and simple and all such attempts should be resisted, but images have become easier to capture, and people will go for it. Whether a semi/pro/amatuer photographer I say if you believe your pictures have value you don't give them away to a corporation to use for profit. but what do I know

    Amen. I see a lot of a deployments on video where people are watching their canopy deploy, instead of checking their airspace. Not the way I'm gonna save my life. You can feel how your own canopy is opening, eyes better used elsewhere. Well done for using yours .

    and don't forget Robert Johnson, the original bluesman that sold his soul to the devil in exchange for his talent and on a more jazz tip Django Rheindhart who despite limited mobilty in his fretboard hand blew away a whole generation nice close ups of the chord shapes in that clip, think I'm gonna sit down and learn me some Deep River Blues

    No subtitle is blue skies thinking and that is now my vote. Subtitles aren't always necessary and are borrowed from journalism & marketing to sell more. Transcending Fear says it all. Lose copy and keep the cover as clean as possible. If not: relax, focus, flow Haven't read any of your books but thanks for all the skydive radio shows. Sam

    Just get down with a training program, for it is indeed the answer, !!! Buy that man a I consider this thread dead, back to my or howabout wearing weights and somehow extra padding in your clothes where the rig fits? Build a fat suit , if its that much of a concern. but what do I know

    Be interested to see some of your pics. If your budget is limited purely because you don't want to trash a decent camera, I'd consider this; spend a bit more and look at ways of protecting it against the heat. For anothr $100 or so, expotentially, you'd get a far better camera, 2nd hand or new. Pixelcount isn't everything and I'd be as interested in the quality of optics and sensor as how many megapixels, but I'd want at least 4MP + . You might want to crop into images and A4 prints are nice.. You're really specialising and I don't think anybody caters for your heatproof niche market, so get the toolkit out.. Could you line an altoids tin / hard case with some come kind of insulating material, and keep the camera stowed unless it's at your eye? Would that offer enough protection? Or howabout fashion a soft pouch out of an oven mitt? Photography is a lot about problem solving, often before you even compose an image. Just 2 more cents.. Sam but what do I know

    You really need to specifiy a budget to get good advice on specific cameras, but at the budget I'd reckon you're talking you most probably wont go wrong with a Canon or FujiFinePix or NikonCoolPix. I'd buy a Canon. They make good cameras with good lenses. Then do something like this. The best camera is the one you have with you. Hope that helps
