And so I must like all of the bill or none of it? Come on bro, I don't work like that; I'm liberal. I despise that part of it, but it's worth it to get the rest of it. States will sue and that part might be unconstitutional.

Yea, pure coincidence. And Clinton happened to be the president when the country underwent the greatest economic boom ever. It really comes down to how much money you are willing to let the ruch hang on to; Clinton had the ethics to collect more, fascist pig Ronnie and GWB had other ideas and cit taxes leading to the mess. I know you're going to reference Gramm, Leach, Bliley, a bill sponsored by those 3 lovely Repiblicans. We've beat this to death here already, revisit if you wish. That may have urged a little sub-prime lending, which, if houses aren't artificially inflated is not that big a deal even if most default, you lose 10-20% on turning the houses back. The real problem was the artificial inflation and sub-prime didn't cause that. PITI, mostly the P (Principle) and the I (int) are very relative; as one goes higher, the other falls. And since the int rate tanked to 50-year lows basically overnight, principles and the amount a person would qualify for went up drastically, causing hyperinflation which was the cuase and the catalyst. W/o the low int rates there would have been a small mess with the subprimes. Of course the subprimes were the throw in by the Repubs to get the otherwise rich-beneficial bill to get it to pass. So, why did the int rates drop? Bush's tax cuts were a big reasons, but cutting taxes as you want to spend 100's of billions on a war was huge too. But overspending and simultaneously cutting taxes was the cause of the need for the fed reserve to lower rates; to stimulate the economy. The first thing Clinton did as he entered office was to raise taxes, top brkt from 31% to 40% and that really helped turn things around, even before the .com boom. The first thing GWB did was to cut taxes and give away the stimulus. So your little act of coincidence is actually just for comic relief, I assume. Oh, I see, yea. The economy tanks under fascist pig Ronnie until he deficit spends out of it for a lukewarm economy, GHWB cuts spending and raises taxes, Clinton cuts more spending and raises taxes again which helps give us the most robust growth ever, GWB outdoes FR spending-wise and cuts taxes and everything tanks, now Obama is hande dthe 2nd worst economy of all time and you say his stimulus didn't help. Oh pleae, show me your Heritage Foundation garbage to support that . Are you not able to see a recurring trend here with recurring results? I feel bad for you if ya can't. Cut taxes - things go to fuck; FIGURE IT OUT, EINSTEIN. Ah, teh ellusive "studies." Again, keep your Heriatge Foundation crap and make args of your own. The same type asswipes made claims that FDR prolonged the Republican GD too No, I will reference objective data, discard illegitimate data and make my own opinion based upon that. You will follow whatever FOX telsl you. Yes, you tried to argue that due to your IRA, everyone must be doing well, by BK and foreclosure stats that is very easy to reject, as well as all the other massive amounst of negative GWB daat. Care to talk GDP? 4 of the 5 Q's preceeding Obama were negative, the Q Obama entered under was -6.4%. I don't care about spelling errors.

Yea, I'm sure Costa Rica is thrilled at the endorsement

Not yet, but that decision can be used in any trial court and be used as the basis for other decisions at appellate courts all levels, incl the SCOTUS.

A note for you conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians and all groups that dislike this HC but will likely use it or benefit ffrom it in some way: DEAL WITH IT. Here's just an off-the-top-of-my-head list of the things that lead to the frustration I enjoyed during your hero's years in office, 16 years of that fascist pig and GWB: - Tax cuts from Reagan 70% to 28% over 6 years leading to the tripling of the 900B debt in 1981 - Union busting ATC and GWB's - Overtime Law requiring some workers to work OT for free or be deemed justifyable termination - Tax cuts by GWB pushed thru under reconcilliation leading to 5T in debt increase - General pandering to the rich via tax cuts and most laws - Mandatory seat belts and auto insurance; just a fascist bump written by ins co's for their benefit - rubber stamped by F.R. - Entering a war based upon a total manipulation of the intel - The wiggling out of a huge lie by F.R. getting a pawn, Olliie North to perjure himself to congress that he, "Didn't recall." - F.R. pardoning Steinbrenner for his tax evasion conviction - Constantly living in a sort of recession during much of FR's terms and under GWB. ------on and on. So when I see pissing and moaning here, I do 2 things: - Laugh - Remember the days when I was pissed about all this shit. What I suggest is that you get used to this kind of legislation and general actions. Obama and the Dems have a great start on the economic fix, have passed a watered-down version of HC and are working on jobs and tax increases for the rich. Then he has immigration and deficit reduction to tackle. The road for the next 6.5 years will be paved with shit like this, so just get used to it. I've had most of my adult life to be plastered with the BS you enjoy, seen a debt taken from 900B to 12.5T mostly under your hero's leadership, all the breaks gone to the rich, corp-loving fascist turds and the general direction of the nation for the rich at the cost of the poor and working people. I guess you've had it your way for so long that it will take a 2 or 3 of these bills, tax increases, etc before you see how it feels. You're kinda like the rich spoiled kid that for once doesn't get his or her way.

How much you want to bet most if not all of it was due to insurance company gains - you know, those people you were ranting about charging so much? I saw Kallend proved you wrong and posted that. I was talking Blue Chies, are HMO's blue chip? Not only that but S&P and NASDAQ did well too, so there goes yet another of your flawed theories. Face it, it's a bad day for guys like you and Stanley, the market is and has done well since March-April as Obama's stimulus ended the GWB market freefall at 6500, now it's near twice that at 10,888. Oh well, you can still hope for destruction of the US so you can blame it on Obama.
-
Do it with your own money. Deal with it, and oh, have a crappy day . BTW, pay for the war with your won money. Pay for the 5T your hero ran up the debt with your own money. Pay for all the exclusive things with your own money. Go live in the hills if ya don't like the way society comes together and to a small degree, co-ops. Oh, and have a crappy day

Do you have healthcare currently? What is your view on the bill?
Lucky... replied to bluesilver30's topic in Speakers Corner
It's unlikely that you have never received any so-called handout. Unemployment, etc. My HC is free because I haven't had it for 10 years. I work fucking hard and I will have it soon. I don't make near min wage, so your inferrence that I get access is as foolish as the rest of your whining drool. And my taxes have to pay for your war, your fucking kids (or someone's in my state) to go to school. See, everyone has a draw, just that guys like yiouy want to limit the draws to only things you like. No, Bush's single penalty wa steal;ing, IMO. The wars, the grossly overbuilt military, etc are stealing. If you looked up the definition of stealing you would be embarrassed, even as a metaphor. You don't have to pay taxes? Also, this law is basically just HMO reform, allowing per-existers. No public option, no single payer. I think you're confused as to what is in this bill/law, it doesn't just dole out coverage, it just makes the ins cos fly a little more straight. Are you insane? Obviously you have no answer, so don't just use bandwidth to pretend that you actually answered. I'm with turttle on this,... Are you insane? Right, another response with no detail, just ask other s to jump on board. If you have no counter, how can I counter-respond to that? I can't. Anyway, since I will get nothing intelligent from you, really do enjoy Obama and our new leader; he's just been inaugurated -
I think this has far more to do with socioeconomics than race. +1

Being a fool and yelling, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore" is an example of that - go for it. Be veracious; fuck it, yell, sccream, shoot; I don't give a fuck, but just watch as the Obamster runs his game up yer asses. This is my turning point, I'm happy as fuck, I just don't care, I'm glad you're pissed; life is great - have a crappy day

Do you have health care? I thought I did, provided by my employers, till I tried to use it a couple times. I am a few thousand out of pocket now for stuff like an MRI .. not covered even after having the Dr CALL The fuking insurance company to make sure it WAS covered.. oh my they lied.. That was after an earlier episode of having tests done ( not covered )so the doctors could tell how much of my lungs were affected by the pneumonia that was killing me Two separate companies.. same kind of WONDERFUL return on investment. Personally I wish ALL you fuckers could get the kind of care I have gotten in the last 3 years. Once you see what the state of our health care is in REALITY... not your fantasy that you will be covered, really is you MIGHT change your mind. And you think that the government can do better? THAT is the sigle most ludicrous idea I have considered in a LONG while - cuz the gubmen't gunna make it all bettah! SIgh - welcome to our side. We have 2 main choices: - Conservatism = sameness, regression, tradition = let it alone, it will fix itself. - Liberalism = change, progression = fix it by trying different things.

They are one in the same; the tea baggers never bitched about the 5 trillion in rubber money, yet Obama bails out the economy and wants to provide HC to all and it's the end of the world.

And here we have the most substantive post this poster has EVER . . . EVER . . . EVER . . . provided in this forum. Yea, nevermind, or in your case, run from, the GDP, unemp, market data.

It's not scientific or statistically significant to take 1 non-random sample and draw a conclusion to the whole system. Furthermore, your IRA may have sold stock and bought bonds, which is likely; bonds soared as the market crashed. Management/mismanagement of 1 IRA account means absolutley zip to the argument of economy. Do I need to post the GDP #'s, the NBER saying the Great Recession started in late 2007, the 3.4% unemployment rose from Feb 08 to Feb 09 per the BLS, or the market crash from a high of 14K+ to a low of 6500 in about 2 years as it freefell before and during Obama's inauguration? Do I? Are you going to argue that GWB's economy was stellar or even acceptable? Please make the argument or ask me to make the counter-argument. I doubt you'll do either, you'll just go on telling us about your IRA and acct as tho the economy spins around it.

Small businesses are exempt, I thought. Correct me if I'm wrong though. ALL business is affected. Simple economics - Employees get paid more or are covered by insurance via emplorers - prices escalate. Employers do not have capital to expand, nor do home owners now, construction buisness goes under . . . pretty simple. And then the sky falls . Explain how Western Europe manages and they also, as a fed law, give every worker 4 weeks to 9 weeks vacation per year. Nevermind, you will just gloss over that anyway - prove me wrong.

HMO reform is not socialism. Amen brother, they believd in things like American Indian ethnocentric practices, slavery, rape and the like. We're lucky they were so well adjusted. -

Ok, now that I've stopped laughing, I'll make you a deal... I'll pay your health care premiums if you make my student loan payments. How's that sound? Pure tangent. Yes becoming a lawyer is expensive, but it pays for itself. Tell ya what, I'll pay your school loans of you take a fucking skydrol bath everyday. You would last exactly 15 minutes and go into shock. Speaking of laughing, a lawyer whining about current pay and / or potential pay is a joke. -

Wanna close the gap on my exalted middle class staus Put forth my effort-make my sacrifices-take my chances and goddamn well do it. The black helicopters have landed, relax, this bill won't take effect for a while and when it does it won't affect that much. This is not socialized medicine, it's HMO reform at best. -

Really? There are many that think this really is the beginning of the end by the way. Oh and the majority of Americans are against this bill.... Yup and most of them are stupid cocksuckers driven by greed and avirice that someone might get something that they are not getting and that will believe anything the fat drug addicted gay boy in West Palm will tell them on his daily spewage on the EIB. She said, "cocksuckers."

Really? There are many that think this really is the beginning of the end by the way. Oh and the majority of Americans are against this bill.... There were also some people who thought the stock market would collapse last October was it? Of course it gain 150 points since the passage of the HC Bill, so I guess you're perfect: PERFECTLY WRONG . BTW, do you recall who that person was who predicted the market fall? And second question; have you paid the marggins on your shorts yet?
-
None, he PM'd me, he hates her.

The Markets work much like the religion of Global Warming...there is a cooling tread coming, I'm sure of it. You and Stanley ought to get together and have a nice conversation about this, he has been delluded on this issue since last October or so. He was calling for the sky to fall since then and has been on suicide watch twice as his margins came due on his shorts. GDP, Unemp, and teh market are doing EXTREMELY WELL and have been since your turd is gone and my awesome pres is in. As an aside, I did extremely well during the Clinton years, exceptionally horribly during the Bush years and things are really spinning around a year into Obama's time. This really makes my entire attitude positive; these kinds of things are contagious and I see a lot of people feeling the same way. If attitudes stay + I see a long, sustain growth period and a minimizing of the ugly Republicna Party, not the end, but a real cooling off period as far as R's being elected.
