  2. http://i.abcnews.com/Travel/story?id=4252394&page=1 These kids are going to rule the skydiving world when they are old enough to jump. They are going to the world challenge in Bedford, England. And I read that they are predicted to do very well. Can you imagine having many years in the sport, thousands of jumps and getting your ass kicked by a bunch of 12 year olds with no skydives whatsoever? Pretty cool. I know I have posted about this team before but I just cant get enough of it. Its pretty freaking cool. My neice is 8 and she saw this and now wants to start doing tunnel with me. She already learned the dive pool. Its fun to talk to your 8 year old neice and she tells you how airspeeds 1's are engineered better. She watches all my 4way dvd's all the time and studies them. I think Im going to hire her to coach my team next year lol. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

  4. Says who. IMO the problem lies in that people don't train themselves in what to look for. HMA does show wear. I have had many, and I mean Many! line breaks on 300 lb HMA. (my nickname CutaRAY). With anywhere from 30 jumps to 300 jumps on a 300lb HMA lineset. There was no visable wear on the linesets before they failed. Most of them broke at the riser, but I did have a few at the cascade. But the wear on HMA is quite visable if you get enough jumps on it, they definitely get fuzzy with normal wear. But 300 lb HMA will fail without visible wear (the heavier HMA is a lot more durable). Where Vectran and Spectra usually show failure prone wear a lot better before they fail. But then on heavier HMA I have put over 1000 jumps on a lineset. I just had my canopies changed over from HMA back to vectran, since Im not swooping and Im doing 4way now. Im sick and tired of cutaways on nice soft openings. I have never had a vectran lineset break all of a sudden. With the 300 lb HMA its definitely a specific use lineset. I wouldn't reccomend it for normal skydive use. I.M.O Vectran would be a lot better lineset for most canopies than HMA. The reason why they still use spectra, is even though it shrinks with wear, canopies still remain inside spec for the lineset/canopy they are used for. Also Spectra is a lot cheaper. As far as drag, about two years ago, some Emery Riddle students did a test in a wind tunnel, and they took lines, I think they did just the lines, not a canopy lineset, They took the amount of lines on cascaded, and the amount of lines on non cascaded lines with HMA, Vectran, Spectra and Dacron lines. The difference on the amount of drag was substantial. I remember the wind speeds were around 50 mph ( I dont know why they choose this speed). But the dacron lines created a huge amount of drag, then the Spectra, Vectran, and last HMA. I remember the difference between the cascaded and non cascaded HMA was around 12 lbs of drag. I don't remember specifics, but the non cascaded HMA was very close to the normal cascaded vectran lines when tested. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  5. I dont know who made it, but Ive had that plane for about 3 years now. I did a Emule search for twinn otter and found it. I actually found 4 but that was the only one with an authentic dash, the others had cessna dashes. Its pretty cool. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Its Mahi in Hawaii, In Florida its Dolphin. Not a type of tuna just a fish, a fast growing, fights like hell, travels in schools of hundreds and you can catch them with basically anything. Its a wonderfull fish. Oh yeah they are one of the easiest to clean also. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

    drug sub

I swear to god I think I saw one about 10 years ago. here is the new story http://cbs4.com/local/drugs.cocaine.submarine.2.656561.html Ok, me and my friends are on a weekly fishing trip about 10 miles out of miami, fishing for Dolphin and tuna. And while we are trolling we see a barrel and some pvc pipe cruising by. We pull up to the barrel and hook it and pull it into the boat. And an idiot friend ties the barrel to a cleat. Now imagine the scene from Jaws. The boat is getting pulled like you wouldn't beleive. We all thought someone harpooned a whale and we cut the rope, but a whale never surfaced. It was a fun story to tell our friends. But it did happen. After seeing this all I can think is maybe they have been using subs for longer than thought. It was heading toward elliot key. In the early 70's we rarely had a fishing trip where we didnt see bales floating (with dolpin to catch under them) and I even found a brand new twin engine plane inside eliot key channel about a mile away from a coast guard substation when lobstering. (I was 7 years old). Drug smugglers will try pretty hard to get the stuff here, what will they do next. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

  12. You also need to add on the licensing fee skyventure expects every year for doing absolutely nothing but selling you a wind tunnel. I think when skydive DeLand was looking into a wind tunnel sv wanted $200,000 a year, on top of the 4.5 million they were charging at the time for an orlando size wind tunnel. Thats a lot of cash for nothing in return. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

  14. I was interested in hearing your take on the Algae biofuel idea. Especially with the solar concentrated desalination/powerplant providing the water needed. This is almost a self sustaining power source. Do you think it will work, or ever happen? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  15. IF you have any luck I have a lot of family in Surrey that I would like to find. My Dad for one, his name is Ray Dutch like mine, if you find a ray dutch let me know. My Grandpa, his name is Raymond Dutch. I have cousins and stuff also, all last named Dutch. I went to school in Surrey 84-85 but my family on my Moms side wouldnt let me look for the family on my Dad's side. Ive tried doing people searches online, but being in the us, they only come back with US Results. So if you have any luck finding a search option for UK I would love to find out. Good luck with the search, Blue SKiEs Ray Oh yeah, if you know anyone that went to Ascombe School 84-85 tell them I said hello. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  16. yeah, but then again.... they'll probably be freeflyers, so who cares. Why would anyone that has turned 4way waste their time freeflying? I've seen it get the best of them. ... the moment they get a tattoo or piercing... it's all over. Dont you mean, drink tons of red bull or eat lots of ex its over? 18. I know this could be in wind tunnel, RW or the general skydiving forums. But I thought it was so cool I wanted to share it with everyone All seven British teams in the AA Class will face a very interesting challenger from the USA. Team Future consists of two children (Kayla Tinucci - 11, Justin Tinucci - 8) who compete with their two instructors in 4-way (Brad Cole, Daniel Perry). The NSL News will follow up with more information From Skyleague.com: Thats amazing two children will be competing in 4way at the world challenge at the Bedford wind tunnel. Wind tunnels kick ass! Imagine how good these kids will be when they are old enough to skydive. It would be soo cool to see another category "under 18" added. Theres already an all girl 4way team in Colorado and the oldest member is 14, from what I hear they were turning impressive points. I could see this catching on as its own sport entirely. It would even be tv friendly. If you could find a way to explain it to the viewers where they could understand. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  19. Thats where the scientist got the idea for the test. He saw the seinfeld episode. He also did the 5 second rule, and said it was way untrue, but mythbusters did that one and proved it plausable. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

    Guys.....

I dont know if I like it, I can always schedule a test to see if I like it, that way we both can figure out if its a good thing. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  21. http://www.prnewswire.com/mnr/solazyme/30888/ Pretty interesting. Cheveron has partnered with Solazyne to research and refine this idea. They brought a car to the sundance film festivel, fueled by algae biodeisel. http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/01/23/solazyme-will-drive-algae-biodiesel-fueled-car-at-sundance/ Interested by this I looked around and found a ton of information about this, One article described plans to produce mile long farms in the desert, where algae would be grown in long plastic bags on racks. The plastic bags allow the algae to grow, while keeping unwanted algae from contaminating the crop. The alge grows faster in warm sunny conditions. This would eliminate the strain on farmland usually used to produce food, by using desolate desert land. The algae reproduce at an extremely high rate and are easy to grow. the only drawback is the high amount of water used. A good idea would be to use solor concentration power plants where mirrors concentrate the sunlight on a boiler to produce steam to turn power producing turbines. http://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy01osti/28751.pdf If Seawater was pumped from the ocean to be used in the plants, the byproduct would be freshwater, which could be used for the farms, with excess available for local towns. With enough interest we could potentially make hundreds of fuel algae farms. That could produce millions of gallons of high quality oil, electricity, and fresh water. The initial startup cost would be very high, but would pay for itself in no time. Billvon if you read this, whats your thoughts on this. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

  24. So you are your brother's enabler. For money. Thanks for trying to point that out. My brother is 39 years old, Im hardly an enabler, more of a keep his ass out of being unemployed and me having to pay to feed him. I make him pay because I think he is stupid for it all. But if he wants to smoke pot I actually dont give a damn. I dont smoke because I value my job. But I dont agree with companies randomly piss testing you. Unless you are using on the job, or it effects work performance. What you do at home is your own buisiness. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  25. Not true, yes the temperature is taken, but it is very easy to use someone else's urine. Ive sold my piss to my brother for years. He puts it in a squeeze bottle, and places it on his dashboard on the ride to the lab in the summer, then buts it under his nuts where his body temperature keeps it warm. In the winter he just puts it on his dash with the defrost on. He has never failed. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
