That team (team "pro dytter") the Danish national team at the world meet. The pro dytter was new and there was clouds so the plane circled around for half an hour, the dytters reset and never went off, they turned points until the cypress fired. The only one to pull at a correct altitude was the camera man. He saw the ground coming up fast and dumped. They were given a 0 for that round. Just wear it, I used to fly every week back and forth from Indiana and orlando, every trip I wore my 45lb weight belt. Its cheaper to wear it as it counts as cary on, if you check it they charge you for the weight. I never had a problem getting through. Well almost never. One time I had a layover in Atlanta, and I had my weight belt on under my shirt (bad idea wear yours outside). Anyway I had a custom weight belt made to hold 50lbs, we used to wear a lot of weight to swoop with. The belt is about a foot wide and was broken up into 4lb sections. So I already flew from Orlando to Atlanta no problem and during my layover I went to get a piece of pizza,I adjusted my belt while in line and I guess someone saw it, when I got to the little stand up table and just took a bite of my pizza, two guys grabbed my hands from behind while another lifted my shirt and tried taking my belt off. They pushed my face into my pizza, it was very upsetting. Out of the corner of my eye I saw an undercover (well I think he was, he wasnt in a uniform) officer pointing a gun at me. After they saw my hands were clear and dropped my weight belt onto the back of my feet, they figured out it was just a weight belt, they released me. I had pizza all over my face and they wouldnt let me go get a napkin while they questioned me about it. I told them I travel with it all the time. The security people at the check line in Orlando and Indiana knew me and have no problem with the belt. After they told me it wasnt allowed, I produced out of my bag the list of prohibited items from the TSA website. I got no apology and was told firmly to wear it outside my shirt from now on. It happened right in front of the boarding area for my next plane, and everyone saw what happened. I got very bad looks from everyone as I boarded the plane, I could imagine what they were thinking. The truth is we are sending billions of dollars to people that dont like us very much. As our national defense budget grows, were funding countries we could quite possible be at war with in the near future. Waiting for civilian companies to fund our push for alternative energy isnt working very well. Lets face is even as expensive as it is now, oil is cheap. Im not sure about what 300lb hma he was jumping, Im pretty sure it wasnt the blue hma. The mainpoint is not to exceed the reccomended number of jumps on your lineset, with the 300 lb lines. I talked to his wife, and she said he had around 150 jumps on the lines. I havent heard of this ever happening before yesterday. But now we know that line breaks arent limited only to opening. Yesterday, we had a very close call with a very talented swooper. His canopy opened just fine, but after his turn and his canopy was planing out at around 30 feet, 3 (A) lines broke, slamming him into the ground. Luck prevailed and he survived, after spending the night in hospital. He has a fracture in his back, and more tests are being done to determine the severity of his injuries. 300lb Hma is great for swooping, and competition. This is not an everyday use line. If you have this line on your canopy then you shouldn't use your canopy for work jumping, 4way or freefly team training, or anything where you plan on puttig a lot of jumps on your canopy. First off its expensive, and second it doesnt last very long. When I quit swooping and started doing 4way, I had my canopies relined with 500lb hma and vectran. Before when I was swooping I had numerous malfunctions with 300lb Hma due to line breaks. Some with very few jumps on the lineset. I did have a set of 300lb hma last for over 500 jumps. BUt I also had a set break after 40. The problem is you never know when it is going to break. If you do jump 300lb Hma: If there is any sign of wear on your lineset reline your canopy. You dont want to squeeze every jump out of it like you can with vectran, or larger size hma. Once you open stow or remove your slider immediately. Make your slider your first thing when you open. Your slider flapping wears down your lines very rapidly. Most line breaks on 300 lb hma happpen at the bottom of the lines. If you get your canopy wet, be carefull not to get it dirty, and if so clean your lines, dirt can wear out a linestet very fast. Inspect your lineset regularly. The performance you gain with 300 lb hma is noticable, and very fun to fly. Just make sure you take extra care with them, and replace them before they wear out. Line breaks dont always happen on opening, and the worst place you want a line break is in the middle of your turn. Canopies generate a lot of tension during the turn and dive phase of your landing. Be carefull out there. We were very lucky yesterday, hopefully we wont see this happen again. (side note) some brands of HMA have been shown to get a lot more jumps on them than others. the 150 jump rule doesnt apply to all line sets. Find out from the manufacturer what they determine to be the life of their linesets. With 550 and 750 lb linesets it is possible to get a lot more jumps than the manufacturers reccomended life. WIth 300 lb HMA dont push it, change your linesets as soon as they reach their replacement time. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

True story. I was in the back of a rock club in southbeach (Washington Square), and Perry farrel was back there. Me and my friends went up and talked to him. He produced a pipe, and asked my friend if he wanted a hit, my friend accepted, took a hit and coughed and started bitching at him "thats not pot" perry laughed and said no its just a little rock its ok dont worry enjoy it. What problem can a bag in front of the canopy cause? I wasnt talking about just the bag over the nose of the canopy. This usually isnt that big a deal. Tandem canopies and big solo flyer canopies have this happen quite often, and are landable. I was talking about an RDS, this is a deployment system where the bag and pc isnt connected to the canopy and the bag and pc, fly off and are towed by a line that is connected to the slider. The slider is removable, allowing you to pull in the bag, pc and the slider. Swoopers use this to allow cleaner air on their canopies, and to eliminate the drag caused by the bag and pc. When assembling and packing the rds, if somehow the bag and pc are routed in front of the canopy, upon opening, you would have a line from the slider up over the nose, and over the top of the canopy. The bag and pc would then be behind the canopy. The line would distort the canopy, and sometimes, the pc doesnt collapse fully. This also would be hard to retreive due to the tension on the lie. And with a small parachute. This could easilly make the canopy unlandable. Also the pc might be collapsed, but with the bag free, it could inflate at any time. I would recomend if you have this problem to try and reel in your bag and pc, and if you are unable, you need to cutaway, and deploy your reserve. I hope my description was helpfull. Is that Velcro? If so its not good for the everyday jumper. Care needs to be taken packing. Velcro can do serious damage to your lines. In Fact, Reserve lines are uncoated, I have seen reserves that needed lines replaced, because the jumpers didnt stow their toggles when landing, and their lines got caught in the velcro from their risers. You can see from the video his main came out first and that pulled his pc out after. I beleive his pin was out before or during climb out. A pin check in the plane would probably have prevented this from happening. They are lucky it didnt catch wind while on the step, especially on a pac. These jumpers were very lucky, as wel as everyone on the plane and the pilot. Please perform gear checks prior to climbing out. The easiest way is for everyone to turn to the left, and make a circle checking the persons gear in front of you. Its mandatory for any team I jump with. I used to turn one side a litle, and then pop one of the cubes out, then take the whole thing apart and put it back together. I had my whole family upset for weeks, because they thought I could complete the cube, and I told them I couldnt complete it with anyone watching. What can you do, with the price of jump tickets now a days, us skydivers in DeLand cant even afford to purchase a gun to rob stores with, so we have to use plants. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Even better would be to buy Oil company stock... there's no actual work required and you're making money... you just need to be sure to sell before they run out... I was reading a story the other day about gas station owners who couldnt make a profit, because the oil companies nickle and dimed them to death, so they sold their stations and bought stock in the oil companies and now are making more money off of that than the station made. It was a pretty interesting read. The gas companies were raising the lease payment for the gas stations so high the owners couldnt make any money. The owners only make around 7 cents a gallon already, and then they have to pay a franchise lease on top of that. Its kind of sickening to see that the oil companies arent satisfied with the billions they make off of selling the stuff. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
