It's a few hours away, but I for one appreciate the sentiment. Nice to see your softer side, Squeak.

The thing I like about algebra is that typically, whatever math book you're using has all kinds of extra problems to solve. For example, when I had algebra, (in high school, then years later when I went back to college as an adult), we were only required to solve the even numbered problems. If I felt shaky, I just solved all of the problems. The other thing that has helped me during tests is to skip a problem or question that I don't immediately know the answer to. Come back to those as there's time. You've had time to calm down at that point and gained some confidence by correctly answering other questions. If you believe you're going to psych yourself out, you will. Imagine yourself staying calm, go in prepared, and trust that your brain will pull out the info it needs at the appropriate time. I feel for you~it's only been a few years since my anatomy & physiology practicals and those were a bitch!! Good luck!

You are my new idol! Woo hoo for you! By the way, just where did you wind up putting your clothing for the jump? And did you sit on the ac bench nekkid? Damn I wish I had your balls (so to speak)!!

I was perusing this thread from the beginning, and came across what amounts to a great poem: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=795291#795291 Thought it should be appreciated again!

As I have previously stated, I wasn't reading this forum. I don't read this forum. Those remarks were made on bonfire, then moved to SC.

I have not personally bashed anyone else's allegiances. Or their country. And I sure as hell didn't put this in Speaker's Corner. The only time I come in here is to defend myself when something's been bumped from Bonfire. My point is it doesn't belong in Bonfire; no bashing of any kind should be tolerated in there. And yes, Squeak, look what you started. I'm so glad that I could be a source of amusement for all of the superior intellects out there. I'll just sit quietly now and let everyone else tell my what my opinions should be. Either that, or I get threatened with banning. Right, Remi?

***Bull. You can bash OZ as a contry as much as you want. You cant bash Squeak or another poster. Get your facts straight before bitching. Whatever, Remi. You're no shining example of civility yourself. Bashing should be kept off of BONFIRE. edited to correct quoted remarks.

I try not to....but this may get bumped at any time now...... edited to add: So maybe I should have prefaced my original response with: "In Bonfire..."

It's not bull. It's okay to disrespect Americans as much as you want. After all, we're all just a bunch of loud, fat, obnoxious, uncultured rednecks with an idiot for a president. It's ok to bash Americans. Similar behavior on our part gets the old "stop the PA" warning. Now that's bull.

Speaking of good clean fun....let's see if I can post this link....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KdN00zLYL0 NSFW (kinda gives it away, I know)

I have a patient who's ear hair is more prolific than my husband's facial hair. I have to fight the urge to pin him down and pluck his ears every time I treat him. ewww....I just made myself a little sick.....
-
Actually, I think that means he has 50% more staying power than the average male.

I owe them nothing and they're not keeping you safe, you have George Dubya, as your leader There aint nuffin safe about that Well, Squeak, nobody said that you did owe them anything. If we Americans constantly bashed Oz we'd get deleted or banned. Personally, I find the differences in cultures interesting and enlightening. I don't feel the need to put down anyone else's allegiances. Vive la difference and all that.

Well, I was going to say maybe it means we're finally growing beyond the junior high stage..... ......but then I read the rest of the responses.

Jewels, you and I weigh close to the same thing. I weigh a couple of pounds more than you, as a matter of fact. We would be good 2-way partners, I think. Bobby probably weighs less than both of us!! (Tunnel monkey that he is).

Step away from the antihistamines....

It's on my Season Pass with Tivo. My daughter and I watch it together. It's the only reality show I watch, and I just find it amazing how they can create outfits from scratch in 1 or 2 days. I find the process very interesting, although it's nice to fast forward through Heidi Klum. "As you all know, one day you're in...the next day you're out." Heard that one enough times! I love the tag line: "Designers, make it work!" It was hilarious last year when the one guy would imitate him...it was dead on. (My daughter could tell you his name but I'm terrible about it.)

Typically ibuprofen will help with the throat on fire deal. Mucinex is great for breaking up the crud in your chest...coughs are much less painful. I came home early cause I've been fighting the same thing since Friday. The sore throat only lasted a couple of days, and ibuprofen knocked it out. That and I did have ice cream for dinner Friday night!!

Judging from the daytime (US time) action on here, that doesn't slow the real postwhores down....
