Hi Phil, I have about 90 jumps on my rigs, Pilot 140s in Icons, and I have nice soft openings.. I guess they could be considered slow.. but they are very much on heading. out of curiosity, what is your wingloading? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

I had the same problem.. I used it like that for a few months.. It'd be great for th first half of the jump then it would stick for the rest of the jump.. I'd turn the camera off when my canopy opened, unplug the switch and be good to go for the landing shots.. It would be ok in 15-20 minutes and then do the same thing the next load.. If you are shooting tandems with a digital Rebel it's not horrible.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

:2:0 I am in FL, Plaything is in CA.. 'til tomorrow.. So I got a couple of jumps in at Z Hills today before hanging with my kids. I filmed a couple of RW jumps.. my vid sucked.. it was on nightshot the first jump and I just flew poorly on the second.. but I have some awesome pics. Me too.. I have about 80 jumps on my Pilots now and am really starting to get to know them.. They perform like my old Stilettos.. but they seem to have more bottom end flare and stellar openings..

I think the biggest point Lawndart was trying to make is no self-respecting AFFI would ever blame a student for the instructor going low. He / she would probably go off and beat themselves up for the mistake they as an instructor made by being on the wrong jump, not dressing properly or just plain scrwing up in the air. I jumped the XT 6 times this weekend on one charge. Plus a bunch of people were playing with it. Took about 300 shots.. It still read fully charged.. BTW.. love the camera.

The battery is smaller. I don't know how this will affect how long it holds a charge or it's life but it is definitely smaller.. and lighter.. The chargers and batteries (I have 5 batteries now) from the digital Rebel and the 20D don't work with it.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

I just got an XT and put my 20D and the XT on large jpg fine mode. Niether of them stopped or slowed for as long as I held down the button. BUT the 5fps on the 20D made for like 39 shots compared to 23 on the XT in the same time frame. The XT is also quite noisy compared to the 20D. The XT will be a great camera for jumping (and I'll be flying it tomorrow) but the 20D is by far a better camera overall. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

are up on our site.. Cornholio freeflying in Z hills.. Then from this saturday in Byron..a beautiful sunset hybrid Saturday shot by sbs and a few under canopy shots by me since Plaything stayed home this weekend.. I also am loading some pics of a tandem. Enjoy. and Happy Easter everyone.

I update after every weekend of jumping.. Since I update my paper logbook monthly based on my ProTrack and mostly i use an Excel spreadsheet, it is like one more backup.. just in case my other electronic stuff gets totally fubared.. It would be just my luck to be 100 jumps behind logging and have my ProTrack and hard drive die the same week.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

Well.. here it is in all it's glory.. sitting in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center... took Lany and I about 2 hours to set up yesterday..
