  1. I don't understand why they grounded the reserve. How did the reserve contribute to the incidents? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  2. Hey Everyone, As you all know.. Byron was almost barbecued a few weeks back.. Brian Heft and I sold some footage to some local news stations and some money has finally showed up.. We felt the best use of this found cash was to celebrate the way we all came together and survived that almost BBQing of our beloved dropzone by having our own BBQ.. This one will be slightly more controlled. It will be this Saturday which will also coincide with the day of Ballsack's 500th jump, Geno's 500th jump and hopefully Anita's 1,400th jump (if she gets away from packing enough to squeeze 5 in) after sunset load. On the menu are.. 30 pounds of my almost-famous BBQ beef ribs.. plenty of BBQ chicken for the can't handle red meat group.. baked beans.. potatoe salad.. chips and dip! After dinner, will pull down the bigscreen, crank up the tunes and enjoy some fun footage! Bring your own to share! The balance of our money will of course go to the beer fund!!! I think Ballsack and Geno may be contributing a bit there as well.. What does all of this mean? Byron is the place to be on Saturday! BRING IT and help celebrate the survival and the milestones! chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  3. Hi guys.. Regarding the Russian lens.. I've got about 400 jumps on that little sucker. Great lens but I just upgraded to the Sigma. I shoot alot of tandems and changing the settings on my camera from indoors to outdoors and in the plane to out of the plane becomes a bit of a pain. About my last jump before I upgraded.. I forgot to change the settings back and got a huge batch of washed out photos. If you are not using this for work and are just fun-jumping, it is a great lens. If you are going to be busy doing 8 or 9 work jumps a day.. get something a little less fussy.
  4. I don't know what makes a good skydiver but i do know at least one GREAT skydiver.. ya gotta love him.. he freeflies, does RW, birdman, tandem, AFF.. always up for something off the wall.. shitloads of jumps and loves to jump with newbies.. He is one GREAT skydiver! chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  5. and the whole batch is now on our site.. Here! and some real beauties under canopy.. Here! Great work, sweetie!
  6. Don't worry, JP.. They will all be on our site by this afternoon... The good.. the bad.. and the heinous! chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  7. I have an exit weight of 270# give or take a few depending on my morning.. Currently I am jumping Pilot 140s and the openings are stellar.. I also love the glide ratio which makes the "last tandem outta the plane" spot not seem so bad.
  8. Hey Bonnie.. Is Mad John asking you to turn around in that Obsession picture? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

  10. Hey!! That's no wookie!! I tried to get some of the other guys to go to the spa with me so we could all get cleaned up a bit (waxed).. But since Spa Day didn't happen, i completely forgot to trim.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  11. yup... but our last load was at like 4pm.. so it wasn't really sunset.. but it was tracking and damn good fun.
  12. No... never... AAAH so that's why you guys never answer your freakin phones after 7PM!! sure we do.. but we.. umm.. screen. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  13. Yes it has.. Anyway.. Here are the pictures from our Tracking for Nathan dive last year.. A couple of them were among my favorites.. It would be really nice to see a thread of everyones pics from the dives next week..
  14. He went to the tunnel on his own and worked with the Perris tunnel rats. He said it went great. I was not on the dive but watched the video with him a few times. I am not sure what signals the JM gave him but on the jumps I have been with him on, he has been very aware and responsive to signals. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  15. I have a question for you guys that regularly integrate tunnel time with AFF as a tool to fix problems. We have a guy in Byron that had a beautiful Level 3 and then developed a slow turn on Level 4. It became a faster turn.. or spin on his second Level 4 so he went to the tunnel in Perris and got that fixed. He came home and did Level 4 again only it seems he has his heading corrected but now his feet are on his ass creating a major backslide.. This is a brand new problem. It also resulted in an unstable deployment. My question is this. When you are in the tunnel without that 30 pound student rig on your back, do you need less legs to stay in place? How could a guy stay in place in the tunnel and backslide like there's no tomorrow in the air? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  16. How about 2 people strapped together under one parachute? Oops.. sorry, that's been done, huh? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  17. Damm... That clown guy hacked into the Bytch's account! What clown guy?? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  18. That's too bad.. We usually fill a King Air staff sunset load at Byron. We may have been doing work jumps most of the day but when the work is done, most of us still love to skydive. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  19. Oh.. yeah.. there is that.. it's no fun when your student screams in pain and gets taken away in an ambulance. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  20. I do tandem vids and AFF at our dz.. Sometimes the tandem vids feel like work. AFF seldom if ever feels like work. I don't do as much fun-jumping as I used to and sometimes I miss it but overall I jump alot more, I feel like I am accomplishing something and my hobby that used to cost me $5k a year now makes me a little lunch money. I am not interested in getting a TI rating. The 2 things I do allow me to feed off the energy of the first-timers and still fly my own parachute. So.. with that said, everyone is different.. You'll probably notice it's the jumpers that don't do work jumps that say it sucks.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  21. GULP! Nice shots, Jimmer, specially that first one.. the dude in the sunset shot is just plain scary.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  22. Oh.. c'mon now, Stinky.. that's a pretty cool picture but you got better shots than that... something with me in it, maybe? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
  23. :7:0 Slooowwww weekend at Byron with the boogie going on at Davis.. Seemed even the tandems sensed it as there were vew of those as well.. So, I only got in 7 jumps.. 6 tandem vids, 1 freefly.. Had another cutaway first jump on Saturday.. Hopefully I have figured out the problem as it is a little annoying.. what with having to recover the gear, pay for a repack and all.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
