Hi. i'm considering a XF2 149/139 (or a Stiletto 150) as my next canopy, but i have a few questions... i've heard you have to load it ~1.7 in order to get maximum performance out of it, but its not the time for me to jump 1.7 wingloading just yet. my question is, how well would it fly in a ~1.3 wingloading? to be more specific, would it cause any risk to under-load it? i'm trying to get one to demo but there arent many here (and the few i've found where to small...) thanks O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

oh yeah, forgot about that. the other airport (sharment-something) if further away. and if you're coming as a big group (which you are) , they'll send a bus (which, unlike taxis, doesnt travel at warp speed...) to pick you up... see you there next time... hmm, too bad, it doesnt seem as though you DZs can host big groups i guess the best solution would be for you to pack all of the nice slovenian jumpers and meet us in kolomna anyway, thanks for the tips. we're still in the process of checking the options
-
my point exactly... and slovenia came up since its one of our options for our next trip (although kolomna was great too) can't find a lot of details (in english) about slovenian DZs , can you help? O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

dude, there was a local girl from kolomna (town, not DZ) that was stalking one of my friends. they kissed once at a night club and she decided that they are a couple but yes, there are nice things to look at in kolomna (but when the taxi driver doesnt go below 150 kph, its hard to notice the details)... besides, got anything against slovenian girls? been to kolomna last august. can't go wrong with it. although i've heard good things about stupino and borki too. i suggest you talk to andrew or roman from kolomna, they could help you with getting there and sleeping arrangements (PM me if you want more details about the arrangements). there's a good chance we'll be going there again next year, even with the 20% raise, its still cheaper than most other DZs. its lithium-ion i think its abit strange thats its dead so soon (and i dont use it often) the strange thing is that the "charge" LED turns off after a few seconds, i would assume that even with a dead bat it will seem to be charging for atleast a few hours O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

i have a non skydiving related question... when i try to charge the battery in my pc110, the yellow "charge" light turns on, then after about 15 seconds it turns off. it doesnt happen with my other bat so i guess its either a dead battery or a faulty connector... its about 3 years old and i don't use it very often. any suggestions? thanks O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

i didnt mean to go, but i assume i can sell them and buy lots of jumps O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

actually israel does not use the death penalty. it can only be applied to war criminals and was used only once in the trial of the nazi Adolf Eichman. some say it should be applied in terrorists' trials, but its not at the moment... O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

Hi Andrew... i'm sure you remember the group of 30 israelies from last august although i was a little concerned at first (none of us speaks russian) the Kolomna team helped us a lot with rides, hotels and other stuff. i must say that i was pretty happy with what we've found there but i think its great that you're looking for more input on how to make our stay there even better... - a carpet in the packing area would be nice. - using the magnetic cards is great but paying for the jumps at the end took a lot of time (i think there were problems with the international credit cards) - a cold baltika No7 is better than a warm one
-
dont know much about perris but you've got the casino hotel in lake elsinore (5 minutes from Lk Elsinore DZ and about 15 from perris) which is pretty cheap and not bad at all... O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

ok, thats where i refuse to follow this thread any more ! "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

great, more options i believe my final goal would be a 135/143 and not 135/126 so i guess i'll stick with the 310 (and hope it wont look too funny with a 135 in it). thanks. now i'm only left with the minor financial issue o "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

Hi... i'm currently jumping a S2 170, and its time to downsize. assuming that my long term canopy (in about 200 more jumps or more) will be a 135, i have several things to consider if i'm buying new. first of all, i will look into selling only my main, getting a used 150 and wait with the new container until i feel up for a 135. but assuming i'll go for new... would a micron 310 (suited for ST 150) look really bad with a 135 (assuming i'll keep the 143 reserve)? since i'll end up on a 135 for a long time, i'm not sure having it in a container made for a 150 is a good idea (although according to RWS site, its only 1.5" length difference). would it be better to go for a 308 (suited for a 135) and squeeze a 150 into it for awhile? RWS say its "acceptable" to put in one size smaller, but do not recommend one size bigger (which makes sense) but i still want to hear more from people who have seen such combinations... thanks... dont you like have to sell a kidney or something to jump over there? O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

i wish them the same. not that the israeli side is free of mistakes, but since the peace process started in 1991 there were 5 prime ministers in israel (6 if you count the temporary government after Rabin was killed). there were 3 US presidents who sponsered the negotiations and endless US and EU messengers to the region. there was only one arafat. and i think you already know i see both sides. i think he did more damage to his own people than to israel. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

give me a break, its absurd. look, i have no problem with the fact that one's terrorist is another's freedom fighter but i dont rememeber many "leaders" (even non terrorist leaders) that received such an honor when they died. and as always, the UN at its best : (from cnn.com) "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
-
i agree, there were poositive steps he took such as allowing the peace process to begin and providing a "head of state" figure to represent the palestinians. my problem with him is for using the peace process as one of many tools to get ALL he wanted. and sadly, by going back to violence and allowing others to do the same, he also lost control of his people (although we dont know that since he never tried to stop them...) O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
-
yeah well, back then we thought (or at least hoped) so too, but it turned out to be wrong. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
-
true, although not accurate. anyway, the issue is not whether he was a terrorist, this is a know fact. the issue is whether he was willing to put this way aside (like some of the others you've mentioned) i supported the oslo agreements and i was willing to accept arafat (you make peace with enemies, not friends). but once it was clear he was using diplomacy as a tactic (while secretly building up an arsenal he wasnt allowed to have) and turned back to violence the moment he couldnt get ALL he wanted. he was a terrorist until his last day. and ironically, it damaged his own people as much as it did us. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
-
dude, there is not enough room on the DZ.com servers to list all terror action carried out by the PLO... O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
