  1. four indictments... two guilty pleas. Yep - it's all fake, all made up. nothing to see here....
  2. built in windows stuff is more than adequate, but we also installed some ESET products as well - easy to use, invisible, and does not take over your computer like so many do. Bottom line is that if you have ANYTHING installed, even the basic windows stuff and you keep your updates up-to-date, then the likelihood of you having an issue are almost nil.
  3. I give the Pentecostals a little credit at least for their creedence. certainly when comparing to other religious groups. It is still all bunk IMO, but there are certainly varying degrees of hypocrisy
  4. all parties tend to re-district in their favor, it would appear that the GOP has gotten really really good at it and it is paying off as seen in recent elections with overwhelming popular votes in favor of the 'other candidate' across the country and the GOP still holding majority power. Not something we are going to fix without a Constitutional amendment (most likely), but States certainly can have an effect on the rules related to it. And of course, the lawsuits seem to work when it is egregious, however, not sure when citizens are going to get pissed off about all the money being spent defending stupid rules and stupid legislation. This is where I agree with the right wing on ridiculous govt spending to no end and how easy it is to spend other people's money. I wonder what the tax bill was for that....
  5. agreed - not only are not issuing refunds probably illegal - the CC Company option is often the best course of action for consumers. Maybe 5 CC disputes in 22 years at Skydive City - I have never won any of them, even when I was 100% right. The companies will invariably go with the customer rather than the merchant, and all the consumer has to do is continue to say "I am not satisfied"
  6. Robert Reich does not have an 'agenda' any more than you do. He holds no office nor power, he is simply someone who is talking about his beliefs and pointing out how badly most of us are getting screwed using pretty solid data and evidence to back it up. I am skeptical of your agenda as well..... and with good reason
  7. not sure that 4 arrests and two guilty pleas are considered 'falling apart'....
  8. well actually, it can be MANY clicks at a mouse and MANY things at the manifest window - because we deal with this every day at Skydive City. "transfer some money to this guy" "oh, wait, you don't have enough money to transfer any at all." "But I have block jumps" "Yes, you bought a block of discounted jumps, which are not transferable." "Can't we just cash in some of those block jumps and transfer the money?" Maybe we do and maybe we don't, but that still takes several more screens to do "That persons reserve is out of date so they cannot check in or jump anyway." "Who is that guy anyway? "Jose..." "Jose who?" "I don't know - you know that guy I jumped with yesterday..." All the while there are 5 more people standing behind that person also needing help to get on a load. Software does not look like Minority Report, sorry, it simply does not. It is kind of like buying something at the store, and asking the clerk to ring in part it on one card, some in cash and then have your friend pay the balance on their card. Nothing wrong with it, but it is time consuming for the business. Keep in mind that when you want to jump with your friend/coach/buddy/organizer, with someone else paying for whichever jump, that is YOUR arrangement, NOT the dropzone's arrangement. You are then asking the dropzone to engage and cover the overhead of managing your business transaction with your friend/coach/whomever..... Yes we do it, yes it can be a pain. Yes, I wish sometimes that if you are going to be paying for someone else's jumps, then just put money on THEIR account, as the number of 'mouse clicks' is more than one might think. The dropzone is not responsible for the management of your account(s). you are. we are there to assist and we have every right to set some basic guidelines on how our business is run, and you have every right as whether you want to follow those guidelines or go somewhere else. So again, we already do all this and we do it willingly, however, poopoo-ing the overhead and frustration with it is equally as frustrating as wondering why it is no problem for the DZ....
  9. I am pretty sure that it is illegal as well. Congress passed federal laws years ago to protect cash gifts cards and similar instruments - the issue was big box stores expiring cash gift cards, when they were in fact, paid for by real money - in other words, a cash gift card is good forever. I tell the customers that bring me these stories to simply call the local police dept for a consult. Generally (I think) a call from the LEO asking about the business practices would correct the situation. When I leave money on my account at your business, whether that is a utility company, a store, or a dropzone, that money is MINE, not the business, unless it is contractually specified otherwise. i.e. a payment for a discounted block of tickets that were meant to be use, but even then, would have some cash refund value, perhaps limited to the discounted value of the package of jumps that were purchased. I have no idea how any dropzone can make such policies, but I understand that they do. I would take that to its legal conclusion if it ever happened to me. Not only that, more and more states are enacting 'unclaimed property' laws that allow the states to claim the money that is abandoned on accounts and unused.

    Pedophile

Ron is not a christian. I know tons of christians that know they are 'the right' christian and that ron will burn in hell for the beliefs that he holds, which they say have little to do with christianity.....
  11. you can jump at Skydive City as a solo student. But our goal would to get you to complete you A License, either USPA or CSPA.

    Pedophile

so then, since people misused the word pedophile in describing Roy Moore actually then makes him a man a grand stature worthy of serving in the US Senate? No I didn't think so. The moral values of Americans that support him does in fact get called into question. It's kind of like exonerating Charles Manson just because someone called him a Nazi.
  13. My bones would have a c-spine fusion, C5-7, with anterior and posterior plating, an old right arm fracture, a right hip replacement and severe degenerative osteoarthritis throughout my entire body with significant bone development in the joints
  14. I'll start by saying I know many non-Christians, atheists, agnostics, humanists with the highest values. They seem befuddled by the whole concept of telling a lie. A holiday to them is going off to a little dips**t country to help build schools ,install power and dig wells, etc. They give stunning amounts of money to charity.
  15. we have photo, video, audio, documentation etc contradicting many claims, but that has not actually changed anything, nor will it, given the current environment of truth not actually mattering to anyone about anything. I see the end of the republic being near.... ultimately the voters can fix it, but I do not hold much hope for that either.
  16. Remember when the two of you are attacked by a bear, you do not need to outrun the bear... you only need to outrun the pother person....
  17. my letter to congress this morning, feel free to copy and paste: The abandonment of Net Neutrality with the recent announcement of the FCC's intention to do so will be a disaster and result in only punishment on the American consumer. I have NO IDEA where people come up with such stupid rules and then flower it up with speeches from Ajit Pai talking about innovation and such rubbish. NO ONE is stopping the internet providers from innovating. NO ONE is stopping development. This is nothing more than a rule to allow internet content to be controlled, the speed to be throttled back and then to charge more money to get back the things we enjoy today. There is NOTHING in this rule that provides a benefit to the American consumer and as our representative, I ask that you explain to us why such a rule would be allowed to proceed and why our Congress is not taking action to prevent it. I have no idea when the last time was that Congress actually did something for the people of the USA. You are dismantling healthcare, increasing our spending, increasing our debt, removing our rights to sue big banks, and now taking away our ability to utilize the most important infrastructure used by almost everyone in the country every day. STOP this rule. It does nothing for consumers and only demonstrates how Congress is owned by major corporations that line your pockets every day with campaign donations. It is truly sickening to see the attitude that Congress has and the absolute dismissing of the concerns of the american people.
  18. funny that we have no trouble believing multiple accounts and accusations when it comes to Bill Cosby, Weinstein, Weiner, Louis CK, Spacey, and so on and so on and so on... But put a republican Christian up on those accusations, and "we we better make sure.." and "innocent until proven guilty" bullshit. Once you pass a half dozen or so independent accounts of sexual assaults and harassing encounters, sorry but you are a fucking creep IMO. Congrats Ron once again for throwing all common decency attributed to 'Christianity' out the window as you burn down your belief structure in support of your supposed belief structure. reason number 631 why I left it all so long ago and continue to point out the hypocrisy. You do not need to 'trust the news' on this one Ron, you could in fact independently research the individual accusers, listen to their stories and then judge for your self, without actually having to 'trust the news'. But it is easier to just say 'I don't trust the news' as another cop-out to further support your hypocrisy. Christians always make it so easy to support horrible and horrendous things using whatever means are at their disposal, using their religion as the excuse for their shitty behavior. because shitty behavior has NEVER happened before...... why would we possibly think it could happen again? we did not believe any of these children either for decades. must be fake news. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_Church_sexual_abuse_cases
  19. I disagree that we can’t do something about 300 million guns. It will take time. Probably a generation. But it can be done. Buyback programs, crushing guns that are used in crimes, and along with sensible purchasing laws, we can curtail the future sales someone In 1959 at the moon was just a dream. 10 years later we walked on it
  20. ^^^ Bingo. we build shitty laws deliberately and then go "See? It didn't work!"
  21. Charlie Sykes (Conservative talk show host) said of Trump right after the riots in the Carolinas in August "I’m shocked but not surprised. Denouncing Nazis is the easiest thing in the world: All it requires is a modicum of historical perspective and a working moral compass. Instead, we got this Dumpster fire." In Hannity's case, this could be re-written with: "I’m shocked but not surprised. Denouncing underage girl chasers is the easiest thing in the world: All it requires is a modicum of historical perspective and a working moral compass. Instead, we got this Dumpster fire."
  22. Kevin Qunn has been flying for 40 years and has 7000 hours according to one source... almost all of it in those cubs and similar taildraggers. he gets the cool stunts award instead of the hot-dogging award.
  23. 'hot dogging' can easily apply to someone that is of low experience regardless of what the maneuvers are. a swooper with 25000 jumps carving through the landing area and between the buildings gets more of a 'pass' than the 100 jump wonder, who, if trying the same maneuver is absolutely, 100% hot-dogging it. experience matters. It is not a made up term, it is used every day. I have no idea what Halladay has for experience, but I expect he was indeed, 'hot-dogging' it with not enough experience to manage the situations he was putting himself in, or the ability to even understand the risks. He was described as 'entry level' pilot in the news, and flying one of the newest machines on the market. I vote for the accuracy of the term "Hot-dogging". Sadly he paid the price for whatever he was doing.
  24. Obamacare or not - the costs of health insurance were rising rapidly. I paid $175 20 years ago in the Clinton and Bush era and that had risen to over $400 before the ACA All the ACA did was force people to buy something they already could not afford. And did not go far enough with the full public option. THat is still the solution. Open market capitalism will NOT work in healthcare.. never did and never will. Medicare for all. And now it is called Trumpcare, not Obamacare. They tried to repeal it and they failed. They now own it. If there is rage about the current system, the current administration failed at fixing anything and you know what - they do not give a fuck about you or me either.
  25. $682/month for a decent BCBSFL plan, $3600 deductible now going to $811. probably go to go without any insurance. I am 8 years to Medicare and I can bank away a shit ton of money in that same timeframe.
