What a great weekend! I saw a lot of dz.commers, but couldn't remember who as I was running around a lot. On the last day VanillaSkyGirl introduced me to Laurel and PDS. I know there were a lot of dot commers out there that I didn't meet or did but do not remember. So who all was there??? I have a little over 50 jumps on a new Sabre2 loaded at 1.4. My openings are anywhere between 90 and on heading. When brand new it was all over the place; spinning line twists, 180-360 openings, etc. Then it was opening very nice, but with end cell closure, which is no big deal because I'm on heading. I just pop the back of my risers and they inflate or are almost inflated by the time I even mess with them. My Spectre had the best openings, but the snivel is much longer. So, overall I like the Sabre2 the best. Next year I'll probably get the Katana, but keep the Sabre2.

Roger that! As an instructor I'm pretty thorough with gear checks on my students. That's also the way I was "brought up" at the dz with my instructors and even my AFF evaluators put heavy emphasis on the JMPI. While waiting in the ramp area I always glance over peoples' gear. I've found misrouted chest straps and leg straps before boarding the plane, and those were on experienced skydivers! We also have a top notch ramper who checks all chest straps before they board.

I would 24+. Besides, it's essential for your job. I burnt out on R6 a while ago. Then one day I wandered into Best Buy like yourself, then left with a PS2 and now I waste time with SOCOM. I have the strategy guide for RS, if you want it, PM me your address and I'll drop it in the mail to you.

Yeah, but you didn't buy beer... You should thank your wife for making you change your original color combination. That's because they had to expedite the completion of all those hot chicks that just ordered rigs after you did. They set yours aside and built theirs.

My PD canopy demo program experience

That's what John Leblanc told me as well, that is, given the same square footage & wing loading. I have over 500 on Spectres and close to 200 on a Sabre2, my current canopy. I can say that the Spectre does have a pretty flat glide, but rear risers the 9 cell is much flatter. Also, a breaked approach on a Spectre is much steeper than the Sabre2. The flare power/lift/swoop of the Sabre2, however, is un matched. Just my observations. As far as packing the Sabre2, John told me to leave the nose hanging. My openings have improved and are Spectre-like now. -
In that case you'll have to come back to SoCal for Chicks Rock!!!

Hi Melanie, Ya know, if she came out to the dropzone she might have a better understanding of skydiving. Her perception may be different and she actually sees it for herself it may change her outlook. I think if she meets your teammates, and the people at the dropzone it will help her understand why we are so passionate about the sport. You rock, Mel! See ya at the dz.
