  1. If you stop by 'Snore on Friday afternoon (3-5) you can take advantage of the Happy Hour rates of $12 jumps. Anywho, that's probably the only time I can fun jump since I work weekends.

    Neptune

I normally use mine as an audible and as a wrist mount a couple of times. My Alti-2 with the glow face is my primary visual altimeter and has been PRCP'd more than a few times. I've since gone to taking a leg grip instead even though I've trained what "not" to pull during the dirt dive. Yep, I'm very happy with my Neptune and it does eveything my ProTrack did and more. I also like the fact that I work with Cajones, the local Field Rep. Alti-Bob is also on staff to calibrate the visual Alti2 altimeters.
  3. Thoughts and prayers coming from the staff at Skydive Elsinore.
  4. Hi Lew, Happy Bday! (again) See ya at the DZ Shark

    May Parachutist

    Guess that's fo sho!!!!
  6. It's already out! I'll get a copy on payday.
  7. Okay, skydive chics would rather have tunnel time than dinner, k?! (but then, dinner usually follows and I still end up paying.)
  8. Stump, Nice rig! Now you'll have to save up and re-upholster your chair. Now, stuff that thing with some canopies!
  9. a) They're the reason I continue to skydive. b) They're often better than I am, which means they can coach me, and I can always cajole one into coaching me in the tunnel, etc.
  10. Hey, you gonna post those pics that Bry took of you on your Hop-n-Pop?

    today... oh shit

Yer a day early, but I looked at mine and it's today. Even got to do an AFF level 5....
  13. Well, more like 140-145mph. He was floating on me while I was in a sit. I lazy boy'd so I could stay "up" with him.
  14. Congrats! It's quite a site to see a 320+ guy swooping down to dock on you. ...and yes, you are getting floaty, now.
  15. Chile, That's a very nice article! I noticed you have roots in SoCal, too. If you are ever in the 'hood, stop by 'Snore for a jump or two. We have plenty of room for your rig/truck. Seems to be a "must see" place for a lot of skydiving truckers as well. Shark
  16. If I remember correctly...The French didn't jump theirs for a while after they had the fire. And as for them being stupid...Well have you ever been sponsored? The #1 rule is not to bash your sponsors. Yes, but why would anyone jump something that is "unsafe?" Dude, we can go on all year debating this.... You've gone way beyond making a point. What do you do for your sponsors? I'm sure you praise and highlight their products, but do you do so at the expense of slamming others?
  17. you mean like when Glide Path said the NOVA was OK to jump? I don't recall too many companies endorsing it, nor the US & French national teams testing and utilizing it.
  18. I just caught the tail end of it, but it looked like Sally Hathaway on an AFF jump. It's the typical student spin, redock, and student pulls.... It's suppossed to air again in a couple of hours here on the left coast.
  19. Because I love to watch the students shake from fear. You spelled my name wrong, but thats cool. And I dont seem to recall you shaking much. Be safe I believe you had some "fear" on my repeat level 3. You went from a freefly helmet to a full-face.
  20. Jen, I had a former AFF student that did his FJC and level 1 with you at SMB. He recently and finally earned his A license and has over 30 jumps now. This weekend he plans on showing me the video of that jump with you. Anyway, we may not remember all of our students, but they remember us. Hope all is well in Stl, MO. Shark
  21. Jen, There is one particular DZ that ordered 65+ canopies, including mains & reserves, for student rigs and staff. Kolla and PD did an excellent job of delivering. Shark
  22. I couldn't have put it any better. I've been fortunate to have some great instructors and coaches, and one thing they impressed on me was to pass on what I have learned to the newer jumpers, whether it's AFF or RW. It became more apparrent as I was training to become an instructor. Even now I get to do AFF jumps with my mentors and on a couple of occaisions was their evaluator. Although still relatively a new AFF-I with
