That was very strange. I'm 30 and have suffered from tinnitus (constant ringing) in both ears all my life. I could tell when the tone started because it sounded like somebody turned up the volume on the ringing in my ears- that tone matches what I hear everyday almost perfectly. After a couple seconds, the tone just blended perfectly with the ringing, and I never heard it stop. I know it must've stopped, but I can't really tell. Very strange. Matt

See, I always make a point of trying to remember how a person prefers to be called, and avoid calling them something else. It seems like basic good manners to me. I'm baffled why anybody would do otherwise. Matt

So I'm sitting around the house doing not much at all while my back heals. Working my way through a stack of DVDs, I have to stop and wonder: Why do all the Star Wars movies have such terrible dialogue? I love the whole saga for the fantasy escapism, the action, the visuals, the innovations that paved the way for Hollywood to follow. But the scripts themselves are amateurish at best. The acting is frequently criticized, but I say look at the material these actors were working with. Why is it so bad? Matt

One thing I've told my family and friends that they seem to almost understand is that I very much enjoy being a student again. And skydiving has so much to learn, more than any one man's lifetime could master, that I get to be a perpetual student. Matt
