  1. It's possible. Although I do want to finish AFF and get my A at Sky Knights just because they've been so good to me. I like the place.
  2. A bunch of us were just having this conversation earlier at SDC. I sooo can't wait til September!! This makes me happy. It's just barely possible that both my back and my finances will be sufficiently healed to start jumping again in September.
  3. I voted lake just because the oceans are so damn far away, and the lake is right here. Matt
  4. I was once told that I look "like Matthew Broderick, but a lot meaner." Matt
  5. Nope. Never been called that. Matt
  6. With the caveat that I have never been a jump pilot, I think as long as you've got sufficient runway for a faster than usual takeoff then it should be ok. Matt
  7. It depends on what kind of flying and what kind of plane. Both takeoff and landing distances will be increased. Matt
  8. Why do you think men shouldn't express emotion? Are you being serious or sarcastic? The other day I saw a sunrise over the lake. Between the air's refraction and the water's reflection, the sun appeared as a brilliant golden column of flame. That stirred me. Matt

That's a lot of smiling faces. Congrats.

    Can you swim?

    While swimming? Matt

    Congrats Turtle

I'm going to be unreasonably stubborn and refuse to congratulate you until somebody lets us know what this is all about. Matt
  12. Without cheating by googling it... I remember something about hunting a snark... but can't recall any more details about it. It's been too long. You win. Matt
  13. I have to disagree here. Having purchased both Haynes and Chiltons manuals for various cars I've owned, the side-by-side comparison leaves Chiltons on top. The instructions are clear and accurate, the photos and diagrams are higher quality, and Chiltons does a better job of documenting some of the small differences that are found even between cars of the same model and year. Matt
  14. I thought those were Snorks, not Snarks. Matt
  15. Just got home from work, almost 2 AM. Drunk people are stumbling out of the local bar down the street, screaming drunkenly at each other, and driving their drunk asses home. Matt
  16. Oh, I thought you meant you decide which threads to read by checking who started them. That's what I do nowadays. Matt
  17. Figured it was something like that. Matt
  18. Well, you gotta have some kind of filter. I just got home from work, and there are 536 new posts waiting in the Bonfire. Matt
  19. Who's the one-legged guy in the background? Matt
  20. What about me? I'm funny and fat? Matt
  21. That nut looks like it fought hard, but you whooped it in the end. Some days I hate the Phillips head screw. Especially a rusted Phillips head screw that some unconscionable hack over-tightened 10 years ago. Matt
  22. I use when it's silly or sarcastic, or when I think it's just amusing, but not quite funny. is when I think it's funny. Don't really use much. It's too close to to make much difference. Matt
  23. Unless you get one of those inexcusably French falcons! Hawkers can surprise you too. Matt
  24. Believe me, I noticed the Girlscout Camp thing! Never did any time in band camp, but co-ed changing in and out of uniforms on the bus was my first direct experience with half nekkid females.
