I usually carry two, just 'coz the chainsaw was too bulky. "T'was ever thus."

Well, that was next on her list but luckily, a friend of her's (who just happened to be a KGB/Customs agent) owned an American made car and needed it repaired. He asked me to do it (knowing I was a mech) and though it interfered with her opera plans, well...."Dear, he is KGB." .......and I used to think they were the "bad guys"! "T'was ever thus."

I can't believe I'm admittin' this but a few years ago, I discovered that I actually kinda' enjoyed.....well....the freakin' ballet! I saw "Swan Lake", performed by the Marinski Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia and was actually awed by the performance! We went to another "city ballet" production of "Gizelle"...not quite like the Marinski but still good. Before that....it was 25 years of Kiss, Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, Yes, ELP, etc.......it's amazin' how much influence, a woman can have. "T'was ever thus."

I checked into a degree in structural engineering, back in the '80s. Though courses like Metallurgy, Welding, Trig, Mechanical Drawing, etc. were offered, they didn't pay credits toward the degree. Courses like English Lit, Sociology, Golf, Tennis and Art Appreciation....did!?! "T'was ever thus."

I'd say it's the best packing vid out there, really great for beginners! It should be in every dz library. "T'was ever thus."

Those drug tests are a scam! I've applied for a bunch of 'em and they never once, let me test anything good. All I ever got, was a little plastic bottle....wasn't good for nuthin', it wouldn't stay lit, clogged the bowl and just made me cough like hell! "T'was ever thus."

So.....they hirin'?! "T'was ever thus."

If skydiving became illegal

By allowing me to jump, they leave the decision up to me but by making it illegal, they're flat-out forcing me to do it! "T'was ever thus." -
Listening To Music While Skydiving!
kschilk replied to Skyhighbird's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
For freestyle, I'd think music would almost be a necessity but for any other freefall activity, I doubt it'd be the hot setup. Under canopy and under specific circumstances, I could see where it would work...like maybe canopy rw. During the first Gulf War, many pilots were using "cockpit music", just like in the movie "Iron Eagle". There were several claims that it helped them improve their bombing accuracy. The Blue Angels (I think all flight demo teams) fly by a rhythmic, somewhat melodic cadence, delivered by the flight leader. Sometimes there's a need to achieve and maintain a "rhythm" and music is sometimes an effective means to that end. "T'was ever thus." -
I wouldn't have busted 'im...probably just hand him $20 and make him go through the checkout. I'm sure that's probably the wrongliest thing to do but that's usually the way it goes. "T'was ever thus."

Straight guys: Be honest. Do you *enjoy* giving oral to a woman?

So what are the other 3? ...animal crackers, spirits and peanut butter & marshmallow sammitches. "T'was ever thus." -
Not much, for horseshoes, handgrenades and most nuclear weapons but on a bungee jump....a lot! "T'was ever thus."

Not far off, really. The increased warming of the planet is a natural progression, though it is relative to its inhabitants. All creatures give off heat and create heat through, if nothing else...kinetic energy. Take into account all the heat produced by each inhabitant, for whatever reason....heating water, heating homes, cooking meals, electronic equipment, autos, etc....it all adds up. Add to that, the fact that we are purposely (probably erroneously) closing off the hole in the ozone, Earth's one and only ventilation duct....well, wuddya' expect? Y'all really should have known. "T'was ever thus."

I've seen people kill time before but this, was clearly a massacre. "T'was ever thus."

Well, whatever trips his trigger but he's goin' to a lotta' trouble....all he hadda' do, was ask. "T'was ever thus."

I've seen some of the all-time great drummers but I gotta' say, the most impressive drum solo I ever saw, was on The Lucy Show....it was back in the early '70s. Desi Arnaz Jr., Lucy's son and who (as I understand it) studied drums under Buddy Rich....did a drum (well, percussion) solo on nothing but pots, pans, the cupboards, oven, etc.....it was sweet! "T'was ever thus."

Amen. Sooner or later, ya' start gettin' those gigs, when you really don't feel like playin'....then ya' have to force yourself to practice....then you start leavin' it in the case, between gigs....then you're on stage, thinkin' about all the other things you'd rather be doin'...... I guess that explains why in the beginning, we called 'em "gigs" but after a few years, we started sayin' "jobs". "T'was ever thus."

Nylon shortage. "T'was ever thus."

Use the "Captain Kirk Method".....you don't really wipe, you just orbit around it and snag any cling-ons. "T'was ever thus."

Never actually had to "pull" one but letting it be known that I had one in my posession, certainly negated the need to do so, on a few occasions. I like to think of it as "visual diplomacy". "T'was ever thus."

I dunno', man....I think it's up to somethin'. Maybe it's just deciding on its next victim?! I once owned an air compressor but I had to get rid of it....it caused me to run wildly across the country, randomly inflating peoples tires! I'm afraid to buy a new pen, 'coz it might make me write bad checks. "T'was ever thus."

I started with drums but played bass guitar in a local progressive rock band, through most of the '70s & early '80s. I've been on six or twelves, for the last 20 years or so but I don't do bands anymore. I still miss runnin' on the ol' Rickenbacker....bass is fun!

"Regularity" of Jumping Question
kschilk replied to BerryBoy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm no expert but "the same plane & at the same dz" and "the same plane and at the same dz".....that sounds remotely similar to me.
