it all depends on where you go, different costs at different places, insurance, fuel, instructor rates etc. what I would look for is the quality of the instruction and the attitude of the instructors. drill sargent types usually dont teach very well. my training was hands on from the very first. lots of talking and coaching. also make sure that they use the building block method of teaching. if you can find others, rent an airplane by block time, you can get an hourly break usually. or try group leaseing a plane. good luck and blue skies. Thats odd you dont get the bonuses, I'm a contractor and make really good bonuses. I get an hourly wage and anything that I accomplish above bid expectation I get paid extra for. He was not invited and we have alot of trouble with the locals invading us during the boogie. wouldnt be as bad if they did cause the problems they do so maybe a little retribution was in order. I am a skydiver and a pilot and have been interested in base jumping for quite some time. Not being one to rush into things I would like some advise on equipment and training for a first timer. TwinFalls is the most accessable for me. any advice would be highly appreciated. I do understand at least some of the risks involved. Some of the best thunder and lightening shows were when I was young down in Arizona. you would see the flash the same time as the thunder and it would shake your innards and in minutes the ground would be covred in inches of water!
