I cant remember what its called but a helicopter can get caught in its own down wash and it wont go back up unless there is enough altidude to zero the collective and pitch the nose forward at about 45*. This is what I read anyway. any helicopter pilots to coment on this? Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

Well I thankyou and yes it is difficult. I am hoping that this will be my last job away from home and then I can take a normal job m-f, 8-4:30

Naw, I dont think its a peice of cake job but it is a rewarding to me. I have had a few opportunities to be at home and take care of the kids, even volunteer at school, but, my job keeps me away from home for 15 days and I then get 6 off in which I spend travel time getting back home. I dont have an office job and the work I do is very physically demanding and I contract so I get paid only for what gets done. stay at home, hell yeah! I had a PD 190 back about 1990 and doing some very foolish things I managed to stretch the top skin severely and tear the stitching. I sent it in to be fixed or trashed with an explanation of how I did it and they sent it back repaired at no charge! the problem lies in your sinuses and inner ear. if you can't equalize the pressure in your inner ear or sinuses you shouldent jump. You are risking a ruptured sinus or ear drum. also if you are going to get into the sport you should read the FAA's book on medication and effects of altitude on them. You might be surprised to find out what is restricted. If your instructor don't have a copy of this the pilot will. thursday night my mother passed away after a long battle with lung cancer that was caused by vermiculite (asbestos). cancer is bad enough on its own but when a company denies, lies, and tries to dodge responsibility for knowingly poisoning people is what really burns me. my sincere condolences for you and your mother, I hope that they can help here and if its similar to your fathers maybe you and your sister ought to be checked and start looking for an agent of cause Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

I was driving down the highway near Beatty Nev. when I spot this crashed Beech sitting alongside the road on the property of a brothel with yolo dz painted on the tail. The lady said there used to be an airstrip there, anybody know any history on this plane or the yolo dz. Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

I put a student out one time on a static, feet out, climb out went well, she looked back at me I yelled go! she looked forward and............the pilot got to work staying over the dz and trying to shake her off. He got her to moving up and down in momentum then broke the momentum quickly and got her shook off. this was her 3rd jump and she did a few more before giving up. Misrouted Cheststrap – How to survive?
godfrog replied to AFFI's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
arent the ends of straps designed so that they wont go through the buckle very readily? Gear checks are a most definite thing for old and new jumpers, I had a friend go in alota yrs ago, pre cypress era, had a throw out on his leg band and a twist in his leg band, spent the rest of his life trying to clear his pilot chute. the next week i was jumping and spotted a twisted leg band while climbing to alt. told the guy and got a snotty responce but he took it off and straightened it. later on the ground he came over and apologized. stay vigilant, look at others gear and stay safe Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward -
If he appears to have any kind of breeding lines take him to the vet and have him scanned for an implanted chip. Or look for a tattoo I.D. mark on him, like inside his ear. I couldn't disagree with you more. A CEO has the ability to lead the company to billions in revenues or losses. The majority of senior executives have a reasonable salary with an incentive program. The more money the company makes, the more they make. The more money the company makes, the more my stock value increases and the more money I make. yeah! and what about the golden parachute clauses and when times get tough because of their great decisions they put the axe to the labor force or give them a pay cut while they still collect their bonuses and stock options....when a company has financial troubles start axing from the top down not the bottom up!!! Inron is a perfect example of what corp ceo`s think of their labor force. when was the last time anybody in upper mgnt came to the bar, bought you a beer and just bullshitted about the job?
