I don't work in an office but I am a boss, I usually get one up on the guys that work for me before they can get me!!! usually I'll walk into a work place screaming and yelling about what the hell is going on and if I want it done right I'm gonna have to do it myself and walk out mumbling to myself, It's priceleess to see the look on the new guys faces. or walk into a workplace and give them that stare like you know you just caught them screwing off, the old hands know whats up and they really grind it into the newbies. it's fun!!! there, I did your survey and I think I sprained my finger now, do I get my reward? Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward -
That is exactly right, plus it is turboed and takes more hrs by insurance requirements to fly and is much more sensitive to shock cooling and alot more attention needs to be paid to the aircraft overall. Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

Skydiving brotherhood/pilots also?
godfrog replied to NelKel's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I started skydiving in the late 80's and in 93 got my pilots licsence. I LOVE SKYDIVING and I LOVE FLYING SKYDIVERS. how many commercial pilots can say their clients buy them a beer when the day is over -
when I fly I get $5 dollars per load on a 182 and a little more for a 207. Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

I'll remember Phil, always happy. This summer during the L.P. boogie I took the 207 to cabin creek for it's 100hr, Phil was the one who picked me up and drve us back to L.P. I was supposed to jump with him when he did another tandem this year and I am so sorry that I missed it. Phil and the Snohomish skydivers took my son out to the rope swing at the lake several times and made me a cool DVD. I will always treasure that DVD. One question is if this pilot is hurting the engine doing the quicker descent. Sure the plane is capable, but quick cooling issues/theories (ie. shock\ cooling) abound. Most pilots are aware of cooling to fast I.E. shock cooling and take measures to keep the engine hot on decent. when I hear about a diesel engine in an airplane it makes me picture a guy unshaven, beer gut, a cigar clenched in his teeth, a couple of control levers sticking out of the floor, big twin stacks sticking above the wings and as they roll down the runway plumes of black smoke and each gear as they go for 5th and over before the end of the runway, and can you imagine the new radio lingo, Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

jumper availability helps, one of my better days was 21 loads to 9-11 thousand ft off a 3500ft altitude runway, the other pilot got the same amount that day, a good day, top altitudes are agl. Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

the odor that is added to natural gas is mercaptain, it has a rotten egg odor, it is to alert you of a leak, if you smell this call the gas company from outside or some one elses house, could be in danger of an explosion. carbon monoxide is from incomplete combustion of fuels, it can be caused by burning wood, oil, natural gas, or any combustible. As said, it attaches to red blood cells and is not easily purged from the body, it is oderless, colorless, and tastless, the threshhold limit value (TLV) is 50 parts per million over an 8 hour period. It accumulates in the body also if continually exposed. Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

a strong gamey taste usually comes from an animal that was not dressed and cared for properly when it was harvested. just gonna have to live with the gamey taste, makes a difference on what the animal was foraging on in the previos months too. don't pick up road kill, it's usually really tough because they tend to tense up just before ya hit em
