I was just there a few days ago and jumped at Pacific Skydiving.. they were busy with tandems but I was immediately greeted and given the dz breifing... I felt like I was at my home dz... Skydive Hawaii loads the fun jumpers first and drops the tandems at 10,000 before going the rest of the way up for the fun jumpers. Pacific takes everyone up to 14,000 and lets the fun jumpers out first. Either way you'll have the time of your life jumping Oahu's north shore!! There are several outs (the polo feild and the feild behind the dz) but you really don't need them unless you get a bad spot. Watch the turbulence off the trees to the north of the landing zone, other than that it's an amazing place to jump. The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

No shit, there I was... standing on the tarmac at Pacific Skydiving Center in Oahu, just in time for the last load of the day (yeah, it was only 11:00 AM).. the plane taxi's down to the end of the runway and the next thing I know we're at 500' and flying across the North Shore. At 1200' I look out the door to see a pair of humpback whales swimming just below the surface and get this big silly grin... yeah, it's going to be one of THOSE days. The climb to altitude was fast and before I knew it the door was open ant it's time to go... a quick check below for traffic and to spot the airport and I'm out in the air... one nice slow 360 shows me everything from the North Shore to Honolulu.. green, striated mountains, deep blue ocean, turquois shallows with reefs.. I'm totally blown away by the view as my body hurtles towards the earth below... I continue my slow turn, just taking the whole thing in.. before I know it I'm down to 4K and it's time to pull for a nice leisurely ride back to the dz and a case of cold beer... yes, it was one of those days.... God I love days like that!! The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

From the dz review from one of their instructors to the professionalism of their packers this is one drop zone you should definitely check out. The KingAir is fast to altitude with the climb out going over the Pacific (lots to see from the windows). Spotting is dead on, the view from altitude and under canopy is unbeatable. The packers are quick and efficient, the entire staff treats you like you're one of their own. I was only able to make one jump there yet was treated as if I'd been jumping there from the beginning. Definitely one of the friendliest drop zones I've visted, just remember to bring your beer!!

A dz near me earned my business today, and hopefully tomorrow as well... Great staff, fast to altitude and the most stunning view you ever saw..... No complaints.. no way!

I had to stop and think if I was supposed to add the second 's' or not... and I work in a custom cabinet shop.. $1400 for teak is very cheap... a set of chairs and table (with leaf) would easily cost 3-4 times that if custom built... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

Cypress is a good alternative to teak; it's far less expensive and holds up just as well, you do have to watch for splinters though. Teak is a heavy, expensive wood... if price isn't an issue then definitely go with the teak. You might have to have it custom made though... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

At the dz where I normally jump there's a sign up saying that tips are appreciated... If you enjoy yourself and feel it's worth a tip then I'd recommend giving on. Use your own judgement as to how much to give... personally I'd recommend about the same as you would for a waitress (15% is customary) but I also know that any tip is appreciated by the hard working TI's.... I can honestly say I've met very few dz.commers, but those that I have met have all be awesome in their own ways.... to those few I say... "Thanks!!" Probably by 36, IMO. Speaking from personal experience? My own opinion on the whole tattoos on the ass deal.. If she has a tattoo I would hope it's tasteful, well done and that she's happy with it. It doesn't make her trashy, it doesn't mean she's impulsive, it doesn't mean she's easy. All it really means is that she has some body art, nothing more, nothing less... No shit, there I was, sitting in a high class restaraunt in Waikiki, my dinner partner ordered the surf & turf which included one pound of Alaskan king crab legs.
