my 7 year old son came up w/ a cool theory tonight about Santa Claus. he said, you know, Santa's sleigh is too small to have presents in it for everyone. So he probably has elves leave the north pole the same time he does, but they go to another part of the world with a full sleigh for that part of the world. When Santa finishes the part of the world he is in, he swaps sleighs at the pre-determined "swap point" and the reindeers probably have some sort of rapid-disconnect system w/ magnets so they don't lose any time. Gabe said they probably have 7 or 8 of these switch points with full sleighs set up around the world. That's probably the only way Santa could do it w/ such a big world. He's a smart kid, he is.

That's great...hopefully for you guys that continues...funny enough crime is down in Chicago and New York City as well and they don't allow concealed carry, but that is a whole different discussion. I can see that the original point is lost on most of you, so I am done. It's not lost on us, we're just chosing to ignore it b/c we see ours as more valid AND, for me, I'd rather not give credence to anyone who has a knee-jerk reaction of accusing us of "frothing" when it's unjustified. And as for crime being down in Chi-town and the Big Apple, it would be down much faster and across more demographics (different types of crime) if concealed carry laws were passed in the People's Republics of NY and Illinois. Gah! Y'know, I read very fast. On a rainy day when I'm just lolling around in bed drinking tea, I can get through five or six normal science fiction novels. Non-fiction takes a little longer, but not much. It took me two weeks to get through Atlas Shrugged. Two weeks. Lo these many years later, it remains the most poorly written, deadly boring book I have ever read. I don't think much of Rand's philosophy either. I worked for an attorney who knew her.
