Back searching this thread is fine. You said you posted it in another thread. You also provided no clue as to which thread, when the post was made, or anything else that would assist my search. Sorry, I don't feel like combing throufh all 22000 of your posts. "I already posted that in another thread" is a useless statement. - Dan G

I already proved that AGW is real, Obama supported healthcare will solve all our problems, and torture is wrong. In another thread, go find it. - Dan G

Yeah, I'm sure if GWB's administration had encouraged people to make out living wills (which is all this is) you would have been just as upset. Please. - Dan G

Um, no one is proposing you send that info to the government. It is to help you and your family talk about things no one wants to talk about. The anti-Obama vitriol is getting really scary. What hapened to people's using their brains once in a while? - Dan G

The modern Toyata Hilx is fucking awesome. It was the vehicle of choice for US troops in Afghanistan until they made us start using Fords supplied by KBR. They are indestructible, and got incredible mileage. Was your '78 a diesel? The modern diesels are tough, simple to repair, and very fuel efficient. I'm going to write to Toyata and request they be made available in the US. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. - Dan G

I think your explanation is better than mine. I was merely pointing out that that God=Allah to true Muslims. I also find interesting parallels between where the Islamic world is today vs. where the Christian world was in the Dark Ages. When people point out the horrors beset upon mankind by the Catholic church throughout history, Christians are quick to say that they were the fault of man's corruption of the Word, not the actual teachings of the Bible. And then in the next breath they decry the barbarism of the Quran. Few seem to recognize the hypocrisy. - Dan G

Um, the Muslims in Afghanistan had no problem with the idea. Hell, they'd remind me of it. And I'm an atheist. I think you're believing the movie stereotype of the typical Muslim a little too much. Muslims believe Jesus was a phophet, just not the Son of God, and not a phophet of equal stature as Mohammad. They have no problem with Jesus and his teachings, they just think that Mohammad's teachings, coming later, trump the earlier ideas. They have roughly the same relationship to Christianity as Christianity has to Judaism. Think this way: Judaism -> Christianity -> Islam Of course the terrorists who use Islam to further their political goals have a different story, but for the average Muslim on the street, that's the way it works. - Dan G

You think wrong. We have at least a Coach supervise all pre-license jumpers up to exit. That includes checking exit separation (as well as other things that aren't being discussed here). That's how it is supposed to be done. It's not hard at all to achieve. Often times one of the tandem videographers who is also rated will supervise students. If no one on the load is qualified, we put someone on the load to handle it. If your DZ is not doing that, they are selling their students short. - Dan G

NO ONE SAID THE MISMANAGEMENT IS AN INTENTIONAL PLOY TO MAKE MORE MONEY! Except you. Sorry for the shouting, but if you're going to base your argument on your own interpretations, even when everyone else is using the correct interpretation, then just have it privately with yourself. And you're right, it is not the doctor's job to follow up with patients to ensure they are following orders. But studies have shown that hospitals that do that reduce costs and have healthier patients. Of course, why would we want that? That's just silly. - Dan G

I think its the overall health payment system that pressures doctors to perform the more expensive treatment. Currently doctors get paid for performing procedures, but don't get paid for having a nurse call patients to remind them to take their medicine, or make sure they are exercising, etc. Eventually even doctors with the highest moral standards are going to be forced to tend toward the treatments they get paid for. I'm not saying that the current bills being discussed are going to fix everything, but there needs to be a change in the way healthcare is perceived and compensated for in order to make the system both economically and medically more effective. - Dan G
-
I don't think his implication is that the physician is intentionally letting the problem get worse so that the hospital will make more in the long run. The idea is that an overworked doctor who does not get paid for spending time on follow-up, monitoring, or preventative medicine in general is not going to do those things as a practical matter. The physician who gets reimbursed for preventative medicine will be able to take more time to help the patient maintain health. That saves everybody money, including the patient, the patient's employer, the insurance company, and even the hospital. - Dan G

You forgot to mention that the Indonesian public school registration form is proof, from a bona-fide official foreign government agency, that Obama used the name Soetoro, was an Indonesian citizen, and a Muslim. Oh, except the part of the form that says he was born in Hawaii. Please ignore that part. - Dan G

No I did not go through all the Fox links. Obviously you didn't either, until I prompted you to. My point is that if you had posted this response to Kallend's comments on Fox, your argument would be much more effective. Instead you post even more bullshit to refute bullshit. Posting facts to refute bullshit is much more helpful to the debate. - Dan G

Just for fun I looked through your "list of lies" for ABC News. Of the six, only one might be considered a lie (the crystal meth as candy story, although I couldn't go to the link because my company blocks stories about illegal drugs). The rest are stories where ABC interviews were quoted out of context, or where (believe it or not) ABC was pointng out the falsehood, not making it. You really need to do a better job of research if you're going to get all snarky. Typing "ABC News" and "False" into the Snopes search engine and then claiming that the six hits shows there were six lies from ABC News is disingenuous at best. It's really something I would expect out of, say, Fox News. - Dan G

As opposed to your current insurance company? There are caps on payments from private insurance, too. If you've reached your limit, sorry, no more payments. Why do you think this would change if the payment check says "US Treasury" instead of "Blue Cross" in the upper left corner? - Dan G -
Kind of like internet forum posters who say they never put stock in polls. Until the polls say something they like. Just sayin' - Dan G

To the OP: Please, please, please talk to your instructors before taking this advice. It is poor advice at best. Actually, this applies for any advice from not only the Internet, but from "some dude" at the DZ. Let your instructors instruct you, they are probably pretty good at it. - Dan G
