  1. I'm not sure that's a growing class. It's always been that way, on both sides of the aisle. - Dan G
  2. I thinks its about both, but survival is more likely if you don't have your opponent attacking you for doing your job. If both sides would admit that there is room to negotiate, then something meaningful might be acccomplished. These days, even being open to negotiation is seen as a betrayal of party. - Dan G
  3. I think most people agree that's what we need. The problem is that no one wants to be responsible for it. In our hyper-partisan environment, neither side wants to give the other side even the slightest advantage. The very act of proposing significant financial change is always met with great rending of flesh and gnashing of teeth over the destruction of America(tm). It's really disheartening. - Dan G
  4. I think some posters (NOT NAMING NAMES!!!) should unwad their panties. - Dan G
  5. Yeah, that covers it. I'd love to see the same lack of respect for similar articles that don't advance your political agenda, such as articles about Benghazi, but I won't hold my breath. - Dan G
  6. So which is it? The article has no credibility, or it does? Or do only the parts that support your position have credibility? - Dan G
  7. Okay, I'll revise: It is annoying to see an old thread revived just so one poster can get in a lame zinger on another. Happy? - Dan G
  8. If the topic is internet ettiquete, then SkyDekker's post was certainly on topic. If the topic is your whining about your feelings getting hurt, then perhaps not. He didn't mention any posters, but since you brought it up, it is annoying to see an old thread revived just so you can get in a lame zinger on quade or kallend. - Dan G
  9. Like I said, welcome to the internet. People who are otherwise perfectly normal, seem to tend toward low class douchebaggery once online. - Dan G
  10. You might want to change your signature if you're going to bitch about people's writing style. I'm just saying. - Dan G
  11. So again, here's what the GOP has learned: it's not their fault, they are blameless, it's the stupid American people not knowing what's best. Like I said, the GOP is doomed. - Dan G
  12. Thank you for proving the point. The GOP is doomed. - Dan G
  13. ...they need to stop blaming the "liberal media" for all their problems. - Dan G
  14. I had heard Orville was a real stickler. - Dan G
  15. How could Colin Powell's opinion sicken or disgust anyone? - Dan G
  16. They have those at Pope AFB. You really don't want to be putting along in your Yugo when a C-5 is on short final. - Dan G
  17. So when you said that ending the war in Iraq and increasing oil producton didn't count, what you meant to say was that those things are bad? - Dan G
  18. Wait, now you're worried about sourcing? I didn't hear any questions about sourcing from you when the slant was anti-Obama. - Dan G
  19. Thanks for proving Wendy's point. billvon gave examples of progress, but you only want to award points if they happened on your guy's watch. If the country is improving, why does it matter who is at the titular helm? - Dan G
  20. Impressive sourcing: "There are charges..." By whom? "Reports and emails are being uncovered..." Care to share them? "There are charges..." Really, by whom? "Who gave the stand-down order?" Please tell us. "There are reports..." Golly gee, who wrote these reports? "I saw a billboard posted on the internet recently..." Finally, a valid source of intel: internet billboards. - Dan G
  21. Go look up he numbers for how different races voted in the Gore/Bush election. Do you think blacks voted for Gore because he was black? - Dan G
