  1. There is absolutely no need to get violent with someone for stealing gear. Simply, steal his gear and send him for a jump at about 10 grand without his gear. 2. I agree somewhat. I think we simply need to impress upon the Mexican people that their own government is causing the widespread poverty, and then crack down on the border to put pressure on the Mexican Government to work to raise the standard of living. That said we could still help them to some extent. We stand to benefit from a higher standard of living in Mexico. Large corporations would find it hard to employ cheap Mexican labour (at the expense of Americans) if Mexicans could live in their own country at a reasonable standard of living. 4. I agree that Mike is a pathetic charicature of the man he once was. I must say though, that I do not agree with the prevailing opinion that boxers cannot handle UFC. I realize that most boxers who have participated in UFC have been pulverized, but nobody ever heard of any of these boxers untill they did UFC. That indicates that these guys sucked as boxers and are in no way a representative sample. There is more money in boxing than UFC even for the ones who are not at the top so there is little likelyhood that anyone good at boxing would take a pay cut and do UFC. Conversely the boxers who do UFC already know they do not have a future in boxing. I am not saying that boxing is neccessarily better, I am just saying that the performance of the boxers who tried these UFC guys should not be seen as the average capabilities of a boxer. While boxers would be susceptible to takedowns in close (which is why even good boxers who happen to be infighters would be in trouble), the more dynamic defensive movers would not be so easily taken down by many of these grapplers. In many cases I have seen UFC guys throwing wide roundhouse punches at eachother while lunging forward with their head wide open like a big target!! I am sorry but I can't help but feel that if one of those guys lunged forward like that without being covered up towards someone like a young Roy Jones they would quite likely be taking a nap. Again it is not an issue of better or worse, all styles have their limitations and strengths but boxing (if the person is a good boxer) is something that is sorely underestimated. Obviously an Ali style would go a lot further in there than a Tyson style. 5. QuoteAll the talk about "poor Mexico" is just that - talk. As of 2005, their economy was ranked 12th in the world.*** Can you please give me a link to that source. I am aware of the fact that they have a strong economy (which 5% of their population benefit from), but I can never seem to find the figures when the debate comes up. 6. There are so many people in this world who should have their liscense to procreate revoked. Namely people like the cocktools who derive pleasure from destroying things that people have worked hard for. I sometimes think it would be real nice if our authorities could cane vandals like they do in singapore. I bet it would make some of these fuckwads think twice before smashing windows. 7. Have your military experiences influenced your religious beleifs? I am curious because I imagine that having to do the kind of risky work you guys do would likely make someone give some long serious thought to their afterlife. You may have always been strongly religious, I don't know but I am very curious to know how/if your experience has influenced your beleifs. 9. I seem to recall there have been some difficulties between tem and other clubs in the past. I won't take sides on the debate (misunderstood rebels vs organized crime) because I don't know any of them, and have no insight. It is fairly obvious though, that these guys in the biker world have a wee tendency to get a bit rough with each other at times. 10. Mike is a walking freakshow. People only pay him attention still for the same reason they still pay attention to Michael Jackson. Not because either contributes to their respective profession anymore. People just want to see what fucked up stunt/comment these guys are going to pull next. Please Mike don't eat my children. 11. Probably not a random act of violence as most normal people do not arbitrarily shoot at Hells Angels. More likely a rival bike club and there is an overlap of territory which is creating friction. These boys do not always play well together in the sandbox. 13. Sorry this happened to you. I have long since lost any faith in human decency. That is not to say that everyone is a scumbag, as there are some very ethical people, but anytime you are in a group it is statistically likely that a scumbag is present. Truly a shame that this had to happen at a DZ where you are supposed to feel at home. 14. The problem with the manifestation of NAFTA is that it helped neither Mexicans or Americans the way it was inplemented. Open trade regions only work when there are similar economies. In the case of US/Mexico all it did was cost jobs to US workers and employ some Mexicans yet at a wage that is still near poverty. If there was a concerted effort to reconstruct the overall economy then firms would not simply see Mexico as a cheap source of labour. You would get a certain degree of specialization and it is quite possible that somewhere down the road immigration could be working two ways (way long away but attainable). Merely allowing plants to close down laying off Americans to go employ Mexicans for peanuts helps no-one. I do agree that the Mexican politicians place too much of their obligations on the US. Tail does seem to wag the dog these days. It is regrettable. We see a lot of that up here in Canada. We find that many immigrants opemly flaunt our laws and cry racist when Canadians speak up about the abuse. It simply requires people to have the couage to not be intimidated by the "R" word. If people continually allow themselves to bend over for fear of being falsely accused of racism then you will continue to see such abuses. 15. Rack of Lamb with Rosemary Marinade. Gosh I tend to wing this one but here is my recollection. 2 8-rib racks average size >3/4 cup Olive Oil >3-4 tbsp Rosemary mix ingredients and coat racks evenly. let marinade in small tray/dish in fridge for at leats 8 hours (or up to a day) Best done in a Rotisserie oven if you have one (I swear by mine). If not barbecue medium to high heat. About 20-25 minutes till rare/medium rare(Insert meat thermometer it should read 125-130 degrees farenheit. Remove and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Cut into individual chops and serve. Your choice of veg and potato. 17. You know where the door/border is.....please feel free to use it!*** Nah. I would rather stay here and stand up to this BS that is going on because I beleive that Canada was a great country at at one time and I think it has potential to be that again. You obviously disaprove of my views. Should I welcome the fact that up here we are always expected to accommodate special interest groups even when doing so happens at the expense of others? I hardly think criticizing a negative aspect of my country merits my being asked to leave. The fact that Canadians are expected to blindly accept the left wing agenda lest they be labelled " Un-Canadian" and told "You know where the door/border is.....please feel free to use it!" is exactly what I am talking about. There is a complete intolerance to views that do not submit blindly to the left wing's definition of Canada. Sorry for not chanting the party line. 18. Actually I do make a mean rack of lamb (in a rosemary marinade). The problem I find is that too many people cannot appreciate a good rack of lamb. You see, the only way to cook rack of lamb is rare (all great chefs will agree with this) . You can get away with medium rare but rare is better. I don't understand why people get so squeamish about a little blood or redness. 19. Of course. I am Canadian and I always stand and show both anthems equal respect. It shows a lack of class to do otherwise. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  20. I love cooking fancy meals but I do not have a main signature dish. I do however have a signature dessert. White and Dark Chocolate Marble Cheesecake, With Cherry Topping. 21. So you kidnapped yourself? You have just confessed online to having committed a federal offense (kidnapping) against yourself . I advise you to turn yourself over to the FBI immediately. A conviction will be guaranteed because you will be a witness against yourself. Nah....Just shittin ya. Hope you have a fantastic time in San Marcos. Hey I am on a hiatus from jumping, so as a charitable gesture could you do a jump for me? Cheers, Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  22. So long as we have the richest country in the world right next to a third world country this problem will persist. Perhaps Canada and the US can stop sending foreign aid to all these asian, middle eastern, african, and eastern european countries and amalgamate all that foreign aid into aid to Mexico. Given that Vincente Fox has taken significant steps to weed out corruption in Mexico and bring their economy around, it is possible that this coordinated effort all amalgamated into one country might actually make a difference as opposed to splitting it up so thinly amongst all poor countries that it cannot make any long term change in any of them. In fairness Mexico is our neighbor, so why does all our aid go overseas. Charity should start near home. So many of the countries that are taking aid from us because they apparently cannot afford to feed their own people can afford nuclear weapons, and are challenging our economy. Furthermore the countries we are pouring money into hate us for the most part. If there was a North American effort to build Mexicos economy it is conceivable that someday their citizens will not need to sneak across the fence. Just a thought but as long as the border seperates prosperity from abject poverty then you will have illegals sneaking across, and unethical employers who wish to use them. 23. Be sure to give them as much notice as possible, don't just stick to the legally required time. THey tend to appreciate that. First sentence of letter should offer you resignation After that you should comment on how much you have learned there and how gratefull you are for having had the opportunity to work there. Oh yes. Don't just hand the letter to your boss. Sit down and tell him/her face to face before giving the letter. If possible try to be flexible about your last day of work. 25. Not allowed to show your flag eh! Best stand up to that nonsense ASAP or you will eventually not be allowed to show it anywhere. I am not being dramatic, beleive me. Up here in Canuckistan there was a student in Edmonton who was told by his landlord to take down the Canadian flag in his window because "it might offend non-Canadians and immigrants". The tail wags the dog much more effectively up here but that nonsense could very easily trickle down into the US if you are not vigilant, about your right to patriotism.
