Sure! Give me the number! My abilities in bitching are far above average. I don't fulfill his requirements: 5 kids????? Man! I'm not a breeding machine! and I'm no one's bitch. Even though I would not get accepted for future interviews based on his requirements, I fully appreciate his honesty....I don't want a lying asshole!!!! There are way too many nice guys. Almost every guy I meet labels himself as that. It's really frustrating me. I just want a guy that I can call a dumbass and really mean it! I want a guy that I can tell him what a prick he is and feel good about telling him so. I want a guy that is as unreliable as I am, so that I don't feel bad about flaking out and accidentally standing him up. I want a guy that my friends keep warning me about...this will make sure that I don't lose touch with my friends. I'm just getting frustrated with not being able to find a good asshole nowadays. Physical appearances matter to an extent. I won't date someone who can't take care of themselves. I won't date someone who doesn't shower regularly, has poor dental hygiene, or is so lazy (I'm not talking about physical problems with this) that they can't walk a mile without getting winded. Beyond that, it's not much of a concern of mine (that's not to say I wouldn't begin drooling if David Duchovny walked into my office.) I have made out with people with abnormal features, and I never really thought about it. Looks don't make a person stand out. Personality/humor/intelligence make a person stand out from the large amount of bland men. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I'm not sure what makes a "perfect" thread, but I do know of a few threads that have changed the direction where my life was heading. Bill writing about how he turned me into an actual skydiver, also the beginnings of me being a post whore "Meeting" Eric online and then at Collegiates...things would be different if that wouldn't have happened either I am in much better shape after my "Healthy Gal" thread Putting this one here, just because So, I guess the "perfect" threads are ones with actual impact...that or really really funny! Or, ones where it's undeniable that I am right! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

How many jumpsuits or skydiving outfits do you have?
Vallerina replied to Jessica's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Cool! I could use another suit, too! As for the original question, I have (not own) three jumpsuits. 2 belly flying ones that look similar (one is fast, the other one is smelly) and I have Eric's old ff suit (I just ordered one of my own, though! -
I haven't been slacking that much at work this week, so I must have perfect timing to have caught that thread. You know, I thought I had met/talked to/dealt with numerous crazy people throughout my life. At least I've never had to deal with that! Yours takes the cake! If I ever meet you, I will buy you a good beer just for providing me some entertainment today! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Am I naive? Does such extreme hazing occur frequently? The worst our seniors ever did to the juniors was put live frogs in their lockers. I listened to one of the girls who did the hazing this morning on the radio. It really turned my stomach hearing some 17 or 18-yr old girl say that she participated basically because it was done to her a year ago. Here's the story:http://www.nbc5.com/news/2186362/detail.html Maybe I'm naive, but I really hope that this isn't a frequent event at other schools. Hi! I'm all preregistered, and I even bought myself a few jumps!
-
I completely understand what you're saying about "flying my body" basically instead of just "flying my suit." I guess there are a few more reasons why swoop cords would be nice (they're "debatable" though, and I don't feel like getting into it.) Also, while I understand that I should learn to fly my body, some positions (butt raised, shoulders cupping air...etc) are uncomfortable after awhile (I'm really not that out of shape! I swear!) No shit! Actually, it's also the light guys, too, that get floaty. So, real men don't float either! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

When are you coming to Chicago? I'll show you where the easiest girls hang... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Haha! Hey, Smooth! No, I don't go low often, but it would be nice to have them when I jump with skinny girls that are floaty! I've tried using the slip on sleeves, but I didn't notice a difference (neither did my protrack) and they were kind of a pain. I didn't use them on my previous suit (also a Hot Bod), but I did use them a few times on my old dz's jumpsuits. Actually, i'm not sure if there's enough material under the armpit to do much good if I throw a bungee in it. I will try it anyways! Thanks! I love my Bev Hot Bod suit, since it fits my J. Lo ass really well. Other suits that I've tried on (granted, they weren't made for me, but they were made for women of a similar height/weight) were too boxy or something. Anyways, I was just wondering if there was a way to put some swoop cords on my jumpsuit, since that option is not available for Hot Bod suits. Yes, they had to drug me before they took me headdown! But, putting blood stains on Eric's is much more fun! Who would ever buy a freefly suit? C'mon now! Especially a blue and magenta one? Sheesh! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Okay, for all who care...this is my Z1 painted by Rodman. I am odd, and so is my helmet! I still need ideas for the next helmet! Get to work, dz.commers! Design a helmet! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Cool nickname! Mind if I borrow it? Is that why he was going to let me jump it for free? Is he trying to kill me or something???? No, there'd be a different title for that thread... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Since "Cinco de Mayo" falls on a Monday, Hinckley's celebrating it by having a DIEZ DE MAYO BOOGIE! Info: http://skydivecsc.com/csc/calendar_detail.asp?n_calid=68 Mucho jumps, mucho tequila, mucho fun! We've got some high quality brothers and bumpy brothers out at Hinckley; it's time to make some more little bastard children! Who's in? Edited because I can't read a calendar! I am easily affected by NyQuil...nothing wrong with taking it during the day! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yeah....what he said. Sorry to disagree with both of you, but I think the point is to get everyone in on the fun if they're qualified. Really, a 30-way w/a quarter of the people on that jump having less than 100 rw jumps sounds like no fun. The point is to have fun, but you can't have fun if it can't be planned safely. Unsolicited advice and grumpiness
Vallerina replied to Jessica's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well, I already pmed you, but I'll make a quick post here anyways. I don't mind unsolicited advice. I don't mind hearing, "Hey, you may want to think about these flying characteristics before you decide to purchase that canopy." I have no problem hearing that. I do have a problem hearing, "What? Why on earth are you jumping that? Don't you know that it's old technology?" Hearing "old technology" really does nothing for me. When they insult me for not researching enough (which I've done a considerable amount of) and then having nothing solid to back up their opinion (which shows that they've never done their research), I get mad, but I just sigh out loud and roll my eyes (I don't smile and not very well.) You also have to look at the source. If they want you to buy their stuff, then they might insult a different manufacturer. (Quick note here....I have to give "props" to Brian Germain from being completely opposite of that....a few people were trying to convince me to get a Lotus, and I said, "No, thanks!" Brian walked up and said, "Do you like what you have? Does it fly well for you?" I answered, "Yes!" and he said, "Then keep it!!!!") It just all goes back to ego, I think....
