I'll agree with that. I've pretty much decided on 5 or 6 lifestyle changes that'll help me avoid colon cancer, breast cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, etc. Not eating red meat (and limiting pork as much as I can) is one of those 5 or 6 changes because of the studies I've read of what it does to a female's body and what it does to the environment. No, it still has negative effects on your body even if it doesn't kill you or give you a heart attack. That's like saying smoking in moderation is okay. It's not. While you may not die of lung cancer from smoking in moderation, you are still harming your body. A person that eats fast food, red meat, smokes, drinks, eats Twinkies....a person that does all of that in moderation is not healthy. They are hurting their body. Vegetarians are much more likely to get their protein from sources which do not contain the saturated fats and "toxins." Ugh....cutting back on "bad" carbs like sugar and such is okay. Cutting back on carbs which contain fiber is not. Certain breads are extremely healthy for you. As much as I hate to say this (I heard about this book from a screaming crazy lady at the train station) read Slaughterhouse. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yes, which is why it's important to properly cook chicken. I didn't know there was a correlation between eating cows and income. In a way, it would. But, chickens are not as bad for the environment, and it's not as bad for one's health. Twinkies, even in moderation, are bad for you. Everclear, even in moderation, is bad for you. Not everything is good for you in moderation. Plus, people have odd views on what moderation is. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Okay...for years might be an exaggeration, but it does not get digested easily, and stuff does sit around longer than normal. Well, like I said, if you have it once every other month, you won't die of anything. However, there really isn't much of a benefit to it. Not eating red meat isn't an extreme. I could never be vegetarian, because I know I wouldn't eat healthy enough to fight off fatigue and sickness. I eat plenty of chicken! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

That actually sounds like a fun dream! Were you able to run? I know in almost all of my chasing dreams, I can't run. So, I have to make weapons appear for me. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Actually, life could still be fat (that's why god made chocolate cake) and full of energy (you don't really get energy from steak.) I'll try to find some links that will scare you about eating red meat. That stuff just sits in your intestines...for years! sorry to have hijacked your anti-fast food thread into an anti-red meat thread! Okay, think of red meat like you do of smoking (or if you don't smoke, than what you've heard others say about smoking.) While a person may enjoy it and have false thoughts of thinking it's "relaxing," it doesn't do any good for you. You may not see the effects of what it does to you body until many years down the road, so you use that as an excuse to enjoy yourself while you're young. Same thing goes for red meat. People just want to enjoy themselves and not worry about it; they don't think of what eating meat does to the environment, and they don't care about what it does to their system. I'm not saying that having it occassionally is bad; I don't think you'll die of colon cancer if you have it once every other month, but most people consume way too much. Haha!!! Don't get me started on red meat. I've never really craved it as much as most Americans, since my father would limit our intake of it as kids (I never developed the taste for it.) He let us have red meat once a month. A big greasy burger never looked as appetizing to me as a chicken breast with tons of onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. I also like Boca burgers much better than hamburgers, and Boca burgers are actually good for you. Any sort of iron or protein you eat red meat for, you can get from many other sources which don't clog your arteries and are easier to digest. Plus, proteins from soy, beans, nuts are better for you than animal protein. Red meat is no good for you! If everyone decreased their red meat consumption, the world would be a much better place! Congrats! You looked great, btw, in both!

I haven't read it in its entirety, although I have seen excerpts...maybe that'll be the next book I read. I've had Subway a few times, but I really don't eat much fast food or red meat anymore. It messes up your system, is horrible for the environment, and just makes you fat. I actually got sick the last time I had greasy food from a fast food place. Weirdo dreams are fun! I should tell you the dream I had a few weeks ago, Jess. You'd love it. Some guy was trying to attack me. He kept chasing me all over the place. Then some girl and wb joined in, and wb tried to stab me to death. Fortunately, it was my dream, so I had a knife appear out of nowhere, and I stabbed him. The end. Not necessarily. I went without it until I basically graduated college to avoid things like getting nasty diseases and babies from frat guys. So, I had to use other methods to make sure I didn't explode. Chocolate and alcohol work great in diverting attention away from sexual frustrations. However, using this method, I was fat and a drunkard by the end of college I also turned to the random makeout method. Advantages include having the magical moment of a first kiss many many times, not returning the favor, no babies, no strings attached, having stories for you and your friends to laugh about, meeting many new people, and occasionally selling a tandem Disadvantages include sometimes having a stalker, kissing people with beer and smoke breath is nasty, sometimes you realize you wasted your night, and it's just not the same as the other stuff. Be careful with that last method. Despite what I used to believe, a random makeout may lead to more!

Oral relations with someone whose tongue is pierced?
Vallerina replied to Jessica's topic in The Bonfire
From what I've "heard," it doesn't really make a difference...it's way more hyped up than what it is. Stick a jawbreaker in your mouth...same effect..much cheaper. Plus, it can be an annoyance while kissing. I had my tongue pierced for awhile....I liked being able to chew on something all day long. That might explain my cavities...hmm... I've jumped 3 different Spectres for a total of 150 times or so, so my opinion isn't the most valid...but I'm also taking into account other's (more valid) opinions. From what I've noticed on the Spectres I've jumped, they open nice and soft, but they don't take long to open. Mine opens in about 500 ft, and the others I've jumped (and from what other people have said) have performed the same. 500 ft is not a scarily-long snivel. Good job on taking your instructor's advice on wingloading!

Do not read this unless you can deal with insane jealousy! I got a wake up call at 6 am:3:1 Friday: I went to Barleycorn to sell tandems, but I didn't have much energy since the lack of sleep I had the night before was coupled with missing this really hot guy. I was ready to fall asleep at the bar. I looked over to the left, and I see this incredibly sexy guy walking towards me! I did what any self-respecting woman would do...I went and attacked him! It was a great surprise to see that after thinking all week long that I wasn't going to see someone so awesome! Carolyn didn't appreciate my display of affection, but I convinced her I was selling skydives for her dz! Saturday: Hung out at the Signature Room in the Hancock center to see one of the best views of Chicago. We avoided the waitress...their drinks are too expensive! Then, we played around at Hammacher Schlemmer. Finally, we ended the evening by seeing my two nephews and looking for a hotel (still not sure of what was going on to make almost all hotels booked.) Sunday: I finally let the hot guy go for a few days. I almost killed myself on the way to the dz (panicking after seeing that a car has been in your blind spot is a bad idea.) I had three coached freeflyin' jumps with Casey. Woo hoo!!! He taught me how to cartwheel, and he said that he'll be able to get me to fly headdown! He picked up on a few things I was doing wrong from our hd exit, and he gave me some muscle memory exercises. And I think this post made me a Pooh-Bah! A damn good weekend! Thanks! Don't be fooled by that picture, though! I'm generally sloppy looking and have a beer in my hand! Possibly....when did you leave? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Wow! I like your transformation! Here's my transformation. Before = almost 2 yrs ago. After = a little over 2 months ago. Nevermind the fact that in one I was at a wedding and had to get all dressed up and the other one I had been jumping all day in 90 degree heat! where do all the little hottie skygirls jump????
Vallerina replied to crewkeith's topic in The Bonfire
I agree with Eric and Tracy (and Tracy is another Hinckley Hottie!) Don't believe us...just check out their staff page on www.skydive.com! I also recently wrote a post about the Skydive.com girls here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=520142;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Tons of hot women at this dz! And there are so many more that aren't even shown in pictures on the website (EricaH, craichead, and FallingAngel...just to name a few!) Seriously, when's someone gonna start a team called the Hinckley Hotties??? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
No way! Actually, your picture looks just like her! And, Tomas...you should be played by the guy who plays Jack on Dawson's Creek. He looks exactly like you! And why is Wildblue being played by some old guy? Joshua Jackson looks like him, but Joshua doesn't have the great teeth and eyes!

I haven't exactly read this thread much, but I did stumble upon this! How very true! It's either, "You'll go to Hell for not believing!" or "You're stupid! Science explains everything!" My guess is that the real "truth" lies somewhere in between both extremes. And, I also think some people "fear" abandoning their thoughts that have been given to them by authoritative figures since they were born to check out the other viewpoint. On the flipside, as of right now, science still can't explain everything, so atheists may be wrong as well. As with everything else, try to see the other viewpoint and where they are coming from. Their contact info about their shirts (their new shirts ROCK!!!!!!!) http://skydivecsc.com/contact/ Easy solution...don't leave! I bet I know a skydiver that would love to have you crash at their place! Yes, I'm selling out! Thanks! I have a feeling I'll be overlooked though with the other Hinckley hotties that are there. I just want to go have some fun! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Unfortunately, I have no info about it, although my dzo does. They have a boogie every year where proceeds go to the National MS Society. http://skydivecsc.com/csc/calendar_detail.asp?n_calid=114 PM me if you want contact info for a skydiver who has been in your shoes. Take care. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Oh my! Tomorrow night at John Barleycorn in Lincoln Park, I get the wonderful opportunity to hang out with these girls and promote skydiving! They're even making a drink make with Skyy vodka called (cheesy...I know) Skyydiver! Poor me! I have to hang out with beautiful women at a bar while talking about skydiving! Hopefully, I can convince a few people to make some tandems! Oh! And don't worry fellas...I'll post pics! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Nooooo, not Becky...she was the bitchy, slutty one. I'm Darlene, the bitchy, sullen one. People say that I look like Becky...so I'll be Becky...even if I am bitchy but not slutty! EricaH should be played by Tiffani-Amber Thiesen Andyman should be played by the guy on the back of the Parachutist that was at Perris Wildblue should be played by Joshua Jackson Bbarnhouse should be played by the chick in the Matrix Pammi should be played by Brittany Murphy Why did I pick the bitchy, slutty one for myself?
