I would say so, but everyone has different priorities...none are right or wrong, just different. I get your point. Everyone thinks they're right, and they'll judge opinions which differ. I can agree to disagree with certain views. However, I will mark opinions as "wrong" if they have nothing to support them, and if they're only basis is, "Because I say so." I never believed my parents when they gave that as an excuse, and I don't believe anyone else either. Sigh...one day, people will learn that if it's not inflicting on your rights, then just look away if it bothers you so much. When people get all bent out of shape about issues that don't affect them at all, then yes, I will label them as morons. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I hope so! I guess my biggest concern is pacing myself, since I don't have to with a treadmill. I'm thinking about doing that, too. They have a shoe store downtown with people who can tell me what shoes I need for weird feet! Hey...don't make fun of my slow ass No, I don't like cats. I'll imagine a million dollars is at the finish line! Yes, after beating the crap out of him in freefall, I probably should be running from him! Jogging is NOT a beerable offense! Thanks for the advice everyone. I guess I'll go and spend way too much money for shoes. Also, (I said it before, but nobody answered me ) how much do you eat before a race? I get cramps pretty bad, but I don't think a small apple would be too much. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Oh! That's a good idea! Instead of a water boy, I'll make him my beer b****! He can hold a bottle of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout for me! Although, I don't think a beer will sound too great after running. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Yes, I think the deciding factor if I enter or not will be if I can hit New Balance next week sometime before the race. My $15 Wal-Mart pair is probably hurting me. That is my biggest concern. I don't have to push myself on a treadmill, I just increase the speed. I've never tried doing that for myself. I think it's 3.1 miles, and yeah, I've never needed water until after jogging, but it is July, and I don't jog in that warm of climate. No, not really. Twenty-seven minutes with me is quite entertaining. I can dance and hold my beers at the same time. I have a certain charm when meeting strangers while playing the boobie game. I also have superior skills when it comes to drinking games that make all around me watch in awe. Actually, I think a better motivator will be my water boy standing at the finish line holding a donut for me. Imagining eating that donut is the best motivator out there! Actually, I can never eat after running. Maybe he can motivate me in another way Hmm....maybe I'll try to jog around the Munster High School track tomorrow. It'll give me a better idea of my time. I'm hoping to find someone to pace myself with, but that may be difficult to do. Hmm.... Also, I've never raced before (what I did in middle school doesn't count), so does anyone have any tips? As in, should I eat beforehand (I'm thinking I'll at least have an apple or something)? I know I'll need a good night's rest. Any good motivation tips? I want to enter a race!!! I've never been in one, so I'm not really sure about them....I'm a bit nervous. Here's the lowdown: I want to enter a run/walk 5K that's coming up in two weeks where they donate money to pets. I usually jog on a treadmill 3 miles 3 times a week with an avg time of just under 27 mins. I don't have proper running shoes, and I haven't ran on pavement in almost a year. I also haven't jogged in about 2 weeks. Am I ready for this? I know I have the option to walk, but I'd feel pretty proud of myself if I could jog the whole thing. Also, I need to figure out the best placement for my water boy! Should he hold my cup of water at the halfway point? Another question: do you think Phreezone should enter, too? I don't normally make borderline personal attacks, but that statement is assinine. Sure, some things that you planned to do as a parent don't happen. I may end up spanking my children (I don't plan on it...my parents didn't....but I may change.) I may start bottle feeding earlier than anticipated. I may push them too hard to go into sports. Who knows? I doubt having children will ever change my political views. I've just never been shocked by same sex couples, maybe because I grew up thinking there was nothing "wrong" with it. Since I'm neither shocked by it nor do I think it's wrong, I see no problem in them having kids, and I do see advantages of it. Most children are "oopsies" by parents and are treated as such. When you have to work hard to get something you love, you cherish it more than when you didn't want it in the first place (I wasn't an oopsy...so don't go psychoanalyzing me.) Having kids of your own isn't a valid case against same sex parents. Just because the typical may work sometimes, doesn't mean that same sex can't. I speak with many many individuals who are f***ed up through the crisis center I work at, and they have usually had one father and one mother. From my experiences, getting beaten or sexually harassed is usually it. Having parents with a bad marriage probably comes in third. These have nothing to do with same sex marriages. I don't know how it would be any more traumatizing than any child catching their parents having sex. What's the difference if they're 4, and they don't understand what mommy and daddy are doing or if they're 4 and they don't understand what daddy and daddy are doing? Why don't you follow your username...Who cares? Having two loving fathers or two loving mothers would be a much better situation than what many children grow up with now. Your only argument is that a child would not grow up with both genders. If that's your argument, than you should attack dead-beat dads and moms before same sex parents. See! Now that's the kind of punishment I'm talking about! Creative punishments! I like it! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

http://www.amnestyusa.org/abolish/factsinnocence.html Sure, this site is biased, but the cases are easily cross checked with other resources. Many people have been put on death row in "cut and dry" situations. I don't think anyone would put someone on death row unless it was "cut and dry." You don't know all the facts. You can never be 100% certain that she is guilty. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Just like the people who've later been found to be innocent of the crime have been killed justify outlawing the death penalty. Regardless of your thoughts on the value of a human life and who gets to decide that value, how can anyone justify a method which has and will kill innocent people? Putting criminals in jail will protect citizens just as easily as giving them the death penalty. But, that's not the point of this thread. If what I've read is complete and true, then she should be tried for murder. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

This might come off as a dz bashing thing, but it's not. It's more of a "even with the best training in the world, stuff can still happen" thing. While your dz may not have incurred incidents as such, skydivers trained at your dz have had accidents involving too high of wingloading elsewhere. I understand that the canopy training at sdc is superb, but "education" often times isn't enough for those slow to learn (I think this is where the experience factor comes into play.) Good idea, but they're all post whores!!!! Searching through that stuff would take years! I also forgot to mention Remster!!! He makes me laugh, especially when he makes someone (I hope that hasn't been me yet) look like a dumbass! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yes, you were very reasonable about calling me a supermodel! Also, I forgot to throw Jessica in that list! Her insults at others always get me to laugh! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

There are a few posters out there who make me laugh my ass off while I'm at work! I look like a freak to my coworkers, but I thank these posters none the less! I'm undecided between Freakous, Quickdraw, Happythoughts, Skreamer and flyhi as the funniest poster here. I love their sarcasm! Who here makes you laugh your ass off? Well, maybe you can take lessons from it then. You need to smile more and say, "You're welcome," in a more pleasant tone, anyways. I recommend that you take the drugs that the stapler has been on. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

No, Mary. I am a supermodel. It's just that some people don't call me that! I thought you were the one with the bad attitude??? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Will you be my packing person again? It's going to be hot; I don't like to pack when it's hot (or cold, or breezey, or any time of the year, really.) Only if Drew has his breathalizer (do I get punished for losing my stick?) Oh! That's what I have to do this weekend, too! I'm going on Drew's infamous cross country jump! Tell them that you have an important charity event you have to skip work for! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Uhh...I'm pretty sure I never "condemned" you. Sorry, I have to giggle every time someone makes a grand exit from dropzone.com. It's happened before, it'll happen again. People think we get all stunned when someone decides to "leave." They think that their exit from here will have a huge impact. Also, if you don't want pms, then turn that option off in your profile. Don't give an e-mail address that you check all the time. Umm...I guess you didn't read my post in that thread. Go ahead! Call yourself whatever you want! If someone calls themself an artist after doodling on some scratch paper, then so be it! I don't care what you call yourself! Other people may not call you what you want them to, but I'm not sure why that would really matter anyways. People don't call me a supermodel like I consider myself to be (hey....I did some modeling as a kid), but I don't get offended. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

What confidence interval does that lie in, though? And, as everyone else, I would be very interested in seeing the statistics for injuries due to a WL which a jumper was not trained for. I do see Kallend's point in not having enough data to correlate injuries with wing loading. Skydivers will moan and cry if they can't play with the shiny new toys, especially if you can't prove that they aren't ready for it. I do agree that people downsize much too quickly, especially since I don't understand why they do it. I have no desire to do anything but jump lightly loaded canopies (I'm finally loading a canopy at 1.08 to 1 ), so I don't understand why skydivers feel the need to downsize NOW instead of waiting 100-200 jumps down the road. I see absolutely no problem with enforcing education, however. I see no problem with a skydiver having to perform all the tasks on Billvon's "list of things to do before downsizing" before getting their D license. It wouldn't be difficult to add on to the license requirements. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

If you're around Chicago, and you plan on skydiving this weekend, get some karma points on your side by helping others! The Chicagoland Skydiving Center in Hinckley is having their 6th Annual Skydiving for MS Boogie. Enjoy skydiving, music, food and fun all while helping others! Anyone want to play this weekend?

But, the grand exits from dropzone.com are kind of amusing! It's funny when people think we care! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
