My uncle owned a funeral home, and when he died, they accidentally put my other uncle's pants on him. So, he laid in the casket with pants that were about a foot too long. None of my family was appauled, and we thought that it was actually kinda neat that the nephew who he was closest to...well, he'd be wearing his pants in the grave! This is the way to man-up when you're convicted of murder!

I'd rather be dead than in jail for the rest of my life, so it would be more cowardly for me just to die by lethal injection. Plus, if someone killed a family member of mine, I'd rather they were guilty about it for the rest of their lives rather than a year or two going through the courts. So, since I've been sitting in my house for so long because I can't drive anywhere (well, I guess I could, I mean...who needs to look over their shoulders while driving anyways?) I've been putting more thought into where to go once I get three months severance. Yes, Ivan, I know that this topic has been discussed before, but too darn bad! Where would you go for a month or two? I may make a jump or two during the trip, but skydiving is about the bottom of my list of priorities on this trip. I don't have much experience backpacking, and I like showers. I'm thinking either New Zealand or a tour of Europe, but I just wanted to get some more ideas and suggestions. Where in the world should Vallerina and possibly guest go? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Thanks, all! This really does suck. But, as long as I don't move, I'm fine. I want to go and do a bunch of cool things...or anything at all, but it hurts to move! As long as I'm fine by Wednesday, I won't worry too much. I'm going to try to get to the doctor on Monday. My insurance sucks for going to the ER (I have to pay 10% of whatever treatment I get, so if I wait until Monday, they'll pay for it all.) It's weird, if I blink too hard, it hurts! New Report: Majority of Bush Supporters are as clueless as he is.
Vallerina replied to skymiles's topic in Speakers Corner
Ignorant is another word that comes to mind. People can be very book smart, but when it comes to common sense they can be as dumb as a stump. Actually (not that Kallend needs me to defend him), he makes sense. Half of the population is at average intelligence or below, and we allow those people to vote. Hence, many of the people voting are less than intelligent. In my not so humble opinion, though, a lower iq doesn't necessarily mean you can't choose the best candidate for you. I like how they told me that the only place I can jump at in Chicago won't be open until October 31st! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

I thought the pain of a migraine was felt due to the expansion of blood vessels. I may be wrong. (Not on purpose) I worked out right before it. I haven't been able to work out since I've had it, though. Well, the pain isn't as bad as it was last night, but I still can't move my head. Luckily, it's rainy and crappy out, so it's not like I'd be doing much today anyways! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yay! Time for me to whine again (I'm at home on a Friday night, so I have every right to!) The headache that I couldn't cure, well, I'm pretty sure it's a migraine. I used to get migraines frequently as a kid, and I've had a few as an adult. I just haven't had one like this before. The pain isn't so bad unless I move my head. It's on just the right side (temple to above the eyebrow), and it's been like this for the past few days (it's gotten a bit worse.) The second I move out of bed, it hurts. So, I'm pretty sure it's just a migraine. My conventional methods of curing headaches (sleep) just won't cut it. With my lack of understanding, I thought that there was nothing a doctor can really do about migraines. I know that Excedrin Migraine, while great for my headaches, hasn't done much for my migraines (usually, they're shorter with more intense pain...this one's new for me.) I'm pretty sure that's what I've got going on right now....migraines have always sucked. Even with a bit less pain, they still suck! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

How much do you trust your cypres?

It's already been done....well, not without the main and reserve cable cut, but a student once waited for their AAD to fire, and when they got questioned about it on the ground, their response was, "That's what it's there for." There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

Not me. That place scares me. It's full of evil, dancing leprachauns that like to stay out at all hours of the night woo hooing. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

An old thread that I never answered....but, YES!!!! I'm single, and I don't have kids. No one depends on me now, so I wouldn't feel guilty if I died knowing that there was a decent chance of living and having $100 million dollars to share with friends and family. If I know I'm going to die, I would do whatever gets the least amount of torture. If they want me to plead for my life so that I don't get burned to death by a lighter, then that's what I'd do. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I say that the dz.commers like me who have nothing better to do during the day call them and keep them on the phone for hours and send them lots of crap email. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
Btw, thanks everyone for the tips. I think I found the culprit. I think it's the medicine that I was recently put on that's causing them. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I love my nephews so much, but babysitting them makes my clock get pushed back quite a bit! I have so much respect for parents now. I watched my two nephews (3 yr old and a 1 yr old) last night for most of the night (my mom was running errands all evening.) The things I've noticed about kids and what it must be like to have them: -At about the time one is growing out of their bratty/crying/fit-throwing stage, the other one is starting it. -The "toy" that tops their list is always the most breakable/dangerous one. -Feeding them Twizzlers because they ask for it, and it makes them happy usually comes to bite me in the rear when they're running around and screaming 30 minutes later. -Touching something and saying, "mine," really does make it theirs. -At the age of 1 they learn how to play people off of one another -At the age of 1 they also learn how cute and irresistable they are with the pouty lip I don't know how my brother and sister-in-law do it.
