So, when Mcafee says, "Do you want to allow this crap onto your computer?" and my mom says, "Yes," when I always run and scream and say, "NOOOOOO!!!!!" could that have screwed it up so good? I update Ad-Aware on a daily basis, and I usually scan my computer everyday. I did the day before I left. I updated Mcafee and scanned my computer with that the day before I left. How could things have gotten so screwed up? My computer is even running a whole lot slower. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I found some good info. And with spyware or anything on my puter, i wouldn't bother with a search. How do i know if info posted a month ago is outdated already? Wow, that's pretty harsh, Dave. I have all of the programs mentioned: Pest Patrol, Hijack This, Ad-Aware, Ad-Watch. I've had them for months. I still have problems. My anti-virus crap is up to date and has been. I even have the extra crap with Mcafee to block the extra "stuff." I thought I had all the extra crap to make sure I don't get the junk I don't want! I ran all these programs numerous times, and the stuff won't go away. So, yeah. I didn't think to go under my mom's account and clean it out there because I thought that it did it for all accounts...I thought that it would get rid of the i386 that's in my C drive. Maybe not. Maybe that's why it's still there. Sheesh. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Ahhhh...I gave my mom her own account on my computer. Could that be it? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Cool! Thanks! I'll try to get to that tonight (although, I'm going to my brother's tonight....but, we'll see!) I would force my mother to do all that crap for me, but we already see what she did once.... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Ummm...never! How would I do that? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Well, it did. Then, something happened and it made both programs stop working. I really don't know what my mom did to my computer, but she really screwed it up. So, I downloaded both again, but it doesn't seem to be catching anything at all. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yup, I have. There's not much "new" there. What is new, I can't remove. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Oh, and one more fun thing: it used to scan through about 70,000 objects one week ago. Now, it's scanning through over 200,000. Ugh. My computer is one big mess. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I turned off my computer before leaving for CA. Well, my mom decided to turn it on and leave it on the second I left. She didn't update Ad-Aware at all, and she left it on the whole time. I got back, and neither Ad-Aware nor Ad-Watch would work. I downloaded Ad-Aware SE, and it found almost 300 "things." I still have "stuff," though. There's this mysterious toolbar that I can't get rid of under my Google toolbar. There's something at the bottom that has a bunch of crap: Make Money, Investing, Music, Travel, Casino, Mortgage, etc etc. I don't even know where these are at or how to find them. There's a ton of crap, and I don't even know how to find it all. I know that Ad-Aware isn't finding it all or isn't showing it as spyware (something like i386...it won't let me delete it, and Ad-Aware isn't doing anything about it.) What else can I do (besides making sure that my mom never touches my computer again)? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Since Perris is the only thing on my mind, I just thought I'd start a thread on the Christmas Boogie at Perris. Who is going to be there? What kind of events do they have? Who is organizing? I want to go back to Perris NOW!!!! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
