  1. "No woman can resist a man that looks good in a Speedo," a song by Caviar! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  2. I made out with a guy in a kilt. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  3. Okay, that was funny! I was (as usual) the first one to speak up against the costume, and many other ladies agreed. One lady just had a baby, doesn't feel like showing her stomach, and also doesn't feel like spending that much money, so we're going with a very plain purple/black theme. Fine by me! People can either make it themselves or by something cheap! I'm going to go with plain, except I'm going to get one of those cool coin belts that I can wear to the bars as well! 4. Okay, so let's say that I am completely against anything that doesn't agree with my beliefs. Now, let's say that I grew up in a society where it was wrong for women to show their belly buttons. I want to outlaw midriff tops because it exposes the belly button, and women should NOT be sexual creatures. Women being sexual creatures destroys our way of life. It makes men have impure thoughts and thus distracting them from their career and their morals. It makes it much more likely that they'll have premarital sex and have unwanted babies. Should you just accept my beliefs that women showing their belly buttons is wrong, and we should outlaw it? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  5. I'll see you at Purdue for the Purdue beating IU game! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  6. No biggie! I didn't really clarify myself very well. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  7. Ah. Tolerance at its finest. I'm tolerant of others beliefs. I am NOT tolerant of people's morals dictating laws. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  8. And you are completely missing my point. I see the value in issues that actually affect people. I'm sorry, but anything where it's only backing is "moral fiber" is crap. I have my own morals, but that doesn't mean I should push them onto others or try to make them illegal. For example, I think stripping for money is wrong. However, I don't think it should be illegal since it's not hurting me by others doing it. Basically, people can't get the concept of infringing on others rights. They like to make up some moral mumbo jumbo to pretend that they're actually affected. I just want to see proof on how they're actually affected. 9. It shouldn't be an issue. The only reason it's an issue is going back to the whole keeping people's minds on crap that doesn't affect them to keep their attention way from stuff that does. Two people, no matter what their gender is, getting married in Nebraska doesn't change my life one bit. Therefore, I don't really give a crap about it. Two people of the same gender want to get married...fine by me! My insurance already lets "domestic partners" receive insurance benefits, so that doesn't even change! People get all in a huff about stupid crap like that and don't focus in on stuff that is important...whether it's environmentalism, corporate lobbyists, etc. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  10. No, I'm not much of an environmentalist, and I don't spend too much time worrying about it. However, those that are active in trying to change the world and make the way we live more "environmental friendly" I completely understand. The environment actually affects people. Two girls marrying each other doesn't affect anyone. I thought it was an easy conclusion to draw (actual issues vs. made up ones), but logic doesn't seem to be a strong suit of the population. 11. Abortion is legal, so that's like saying that glasses are important to keep legal for those who want to wear glasses. So, I guess I didn't clarify myself well enough. People who worry too much about who's getting an abortion or marrying their same sex partner are spending too much time away from actual issues that affect them. 12. If the teacher told us what to wear, I would do it. When I was a kid, we'd never spend $100 on just one dance costume either. Oh, there are many more costumes that are far less expensive! One of the women in the group who also has an objection to it sent us links to costumes that are simple and cost about $50. They look decent. 13. Thanks, Jim! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is ugly! I'd rather just wear a plain purple skirt and top! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  14. Actually, you might be on to something there. However, if they want more material, they should've gone with something less gaudy. They'll just look like big gold and purple pieces of fabric on stage. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  15. The one that Sunny posted was insanely expensive! But, the others were only about $10-$20 more. They weren't as gaudy. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  16. Some of you might remember this post: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1330777#1330777 Basically, I thought that I was going to be able to pick any costume that I wanted as long as it went with the overall color scheme. At the very least, I thought that everyone would buy the same, plain costume for cheap. I was wrong. Three or four of the ladies in the group all want to have the exact same, expensive costume. I don't mind spending a little more on something that I like or something that I can wear again, but this falls into neither category. Is it just me or is this hideous: http://www.dahlal.com/new_site/pages/Product_Costume.php?CategoryID=1&BigCatID=1145&Stock=ES13&all_IDs=1157%2C&BigCatName=Egyptian&CatName=Full+Costumes&artistSort=&artist=&Sess_dahlal=09e96128575fd64c4b140a84a3a28df8 It's expensive. I'm only going to wear it once for about 4 minutes. It reminds me of really bad Christmas decorations. I told the ladies that I will not buy it, so I might be the only one not wearing it! Oh well! 18. Sunny's the closest. Is she giving you the spankings? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  19. I miss chi-squared tests. Actually, we covered it in high school! Basically, the government uses things like abortion, gay rights, etc. to keep people in their self-righteous "what's best for the family" crap and away from actual issues (like why are we spending money on war instead of on research for alternative fuels.) The country won't be much different if Kerry would've won. It's just one greedy politician supporting his big business lobbyists as opposed to another one. 20. Nothing at all! In fact she heard me talking about all the hot men there! But, Kallend, don't you know me at all? I look for the inner beauty! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  21. 0:4:0 Stacy, put DOWN the margarita! "Hey! There's no one there!" Me: "Hello???? Stacy????" I did some really fun jumps at SDC this past weekend!
  22. I never said that!!!! You and your liberal lies! I said that there weren't any quality men. I'm willing to reevaluate that position, though! And, sorry to all those in Chicago, I wish they all could be California guys! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  23. Sangiro made a point of telling men that they should be careful in the women's forum. There is some sexism in skydiving. We're not saying that all or even most men are like that. I would say that maybe 5% of men are sexist and hand out condescending advice. For me it's not really a problem because I put them in their place, and they leave me alone. However, it is a problem for some women. The discussion should not have been used to prove that sexism in the sport doesn't exist. The discussion should've been used to help women get around some of the barriers which they may not have had to deal with before. (I'm used to it. I've heard all my life that women aren't good at math. I'm used to proving people wrong!) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  24. When I was 12, I was seeking advice from only females about how to use a tampon! It's not always ignorant and sheltered. Guys have a different center of balance, so their bodies fly differently than women's. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  25. Let's start looking for your costume, too! I really like that first one you posted. It's so pretty! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
