The answer is YES you can freeze cooked food. I cook major batches of stuff and then freeze leftovers. Like skymama says some foods come out pretty nasty, just depends on what you're freezing. The ice crystals when formed in some foods completely break down the "stuff" (lack of a better word) that holds them together. So freezing potato salad turns it to mush when defrosted. I bought a tub from Sam's and froze half I couldn't eat the defrosted half. It was just nasty! So it just depends on what you're freezing.. Potato salad doesn't freeze an defrost well. Jeez, some of you in this thread make me sick.. I had plans along time ago, then life took over and I lost sight... My plans now are to get to the next paycheck before something else goes wrong or breaks. I do have some plans in my head, nothing concrete or writen down. I'm 37 and own nothing.. retirement is 4% w/company matching 4% into a 401k that has made a total of 1% in 5 years. Who knows, I need to sit down and come up with something... No not at all. I am jealous of one thing. I'm unable to come up with some eBay product and cash in. That is really bogus. I mean the guy lives in Nebraska.. No one lives in Nebraska! I live in Houston with a population of just under 4 million people. Much bigger market.
