To Kill a Mockingbird The Magnificant Seven The Great Escape yeah, I'm old. steveOrino

Name me one that restricts how I can't vote on something that is on a ballot? Or name me one law that says cannot lobby my congressman? steveOrino
-
Explain to me how you would keep people from voting their conscience. I'm just curious. steveOrino

Better to be a dumb group than have no say in my government. Man, they have brain washed you! steveOrino

Well, using your own logic you wish the USA was like your Taliban - the majority votes that women should cover their faces because some old religious book says so, and every woman must do it, including those who do not care about religious books. I'd rather have the availability to make dumb decisions than not have the freedom to vote my conscience. steveOrino

Is the British Military Trained by the French?
steveorino replied to Duckwater's topic in Speakers Corner
Did they say to do that indefinitely? Do that until they kill you or worse your buddies? If you resist as long as you can then most of the time the intel you have is old. Back in my day (long long ago) Sf guys were trained by SERE then came back to do unit training. We were taught to resist and hold out as long as possible. Give the home boys time to change the valuable intel. I can't see the reason in dying or worse let your buddies die for the "intel" the average Marine pvt has. But maybe SF was (or is) just that different. steveOrino -
Is the British Military Trained by the French?

Let me say the name, rank, serial # is more hollywood than fact. It is resist as long as possible. As I said earlier in a different thread. Intel grows stale quickly. The longer you can resist the better, but the name, rank, serial # is not taught by SF (or wasn't in the late 70s anyway) steveOrino -
You ARE Fred Felps! I knew it! We were wondering who you actually were. Lloyd asked me if you actually jumped, and I said he never posted like he did. I guess now we know, because we all know GHF Fred is a whuffo. steveOrino

Are you sure you are not Fred Felps? steveOrino

Brit sailors: our "confessions" were coerced

What ever happened to NAME, RANK AND SERIAL#? PUSSIES You've watched too much hollywood. It is resist as long as you can. Intel grows stale. steveOrino -
Brit sailors: our "confessions" were coerced
steveorino replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
They'd be briefed on what they were allowed to say. EDITED TO ADD: Most likely they are allowed to say limited versions of the truth. It is much easier to say a little truth and maintain it rather than keep up a lie. steveOrino -
Brit sailors: our "confessions" were coerced
steveorino replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, in his defense I can understand why he feels the way he does to some extent. Goodness knows I don't approve of all that the USA does. The Beluchi (sp?) tribesmen of Iran were noteable people. So while I have a measure of respect for many people in Iran their leader is a turd hostage taker from times past. As hard as I try to forget 1979 it stays with me. I have asked JC to give me a little peace about the ordeal but let's say I'm still "trying". steveOrino -
I think science is the best resource for finding the "cause" of global warming. Just pointing out all scientist don't agree on the "cause" The purpose of the Bible is to point men to Christ, not be a history or science book. steveOrino

You'd be out the first 15 minutes in S.E.R.E. school. steveOrino -
Brit sailors: our "confessions" were coerced
steveorino replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
Probably did, Was he using them to trump the virtues of Iran? I was in Special Forces back in 1979, I know better. steveOrino -

No duh. Did anyone really believe they were telling their own truth? Come on. Too bad they couldn't do morse code with their eye lids like American prisoners in Viet Nam did. steveOrino -
I'm not saying GW doesn't exist. But if science is correct. Which science is correct about the cause of GW? steveOrino

I think I have made it clear several times: you should not be allowed to vote for laws, which purpose is to restrict (or force) others to doing something if the reason you want to restrict others is based only on your beliefs, and not on proven facts. I thought it is very simple logic; don't you understand it? I understand it quite well. You wish the USA was more like your USSR, and restricted the right to vote your conscious. steveOrino
-
Obviously being correct is not meaning everyone agrees. Which scientific theory holds the correct answer to global warming. Man made or natural? steveOrino
-
yeah, right! steveOrino
-
My sources indicate otherwise. Can you provide a citation? (ideally, one that isn't directly from a 12 step program)? Read my post #15 in this thread. steveOrino

You mean the ACLU??? steveOrino

Dang George, you're right in everything you post. I should be ashamed of even trying to get in a battle of words with someone of your intellect. steveOrino
-
If I needed it, that would be a BIG deciding factor. Also may choose it because they tend to meet people who the 12 step program has worked for. steveOrino

None! I don't have problem with science at all. My biggest problem is I'm not communicatimng my point, or more likely people are misreadiung my statements based on their own personal biasis. I think science is good. I was simply stating that we use the misuse and abuse of religion as a reason it is bad. I think it is unfair to do that, just as it would be unfair to label science as bad because of its misuse and abuse. steveOrino
