Almost none. Big open landing area at our DZ. It would appear intential to hit anything besides the hangers. Well, there was this one girl who landed in the only tree on the DZ about 1/2 mile north of the hanger. steveOrino

How many Christians do not believe in God?
steveorino replied to georgerussia's topic in Speakers Corner
Nothing new here. Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" steveOrino -

US Marines killed unarmed unarmed civillians
steveorino replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
Who denied the autrocities of the US Army? Not me. Notanyone here. What we find repugnant is your generalization that USA rapes all noncombatants first. I read no one defending the Marine's actions. I find a few defending the soldiers who serve honorably. Equating what the few did to all those serving and who have served is akin to equating the sins of the Christian church to Christ. That has been done here a few times in SC, but I didn't think your hatred for the USA would put you in that ridiculous group. What part of calling all USA soldiers rapist do you find Christ-like? steveOrino -

James 3:9-11 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? As I said earlier, the way you speak about others you have never met says a lot about your brand of "christianity" steveOrino -

So you agree te generalizations I made about "christians" are true? Those things did happen, and believe me they are only a smal percentage of what i could write. steveOrino -

Okay, Mr. KJVonly "christian" You generalizations tell us all about who you really are. You like generalize and make ridiculous statements? Christians are slave owning, muslim killing, closeted gay, witch burning, meth taking, prostitute mongering, lying, stealing from the elderly, hypocritial fakes. James 1: 26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless steveOrino -

I'm curious. If that was a strong cause in what we see today, why wasn't my generation that grew up on westerns where there was a shootout every half hour on the streets of didge city terrozing the streets with our ow shootouts? steveOrino

US Marines killed unarmed unarmed civillians
steveorino replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
I don't see anyone here defending what took place. What I do see are those who have "been there, done that" say it is not always so cut and dry a decision to make. There are women, children and elderly who appear to be noncombatants that will kill you in this type of war (like the one on Viet Nam) But what I do read are ridiculous over generalizations made by those who are clueless to any type of war, let alone a guerilla war, but feel free to making disparaging remarks about American men and women who serve honorbaly, simply because they do not like our president or the USA. They should be as ashamed as any soldier who thumbs his nose at the ROE. steveOrino -

As a former US soldier and one whose son serves in Afghanistan, I find your generalization repugnant, but I have come to expect that from you. steveOrino -

Yeah, if you like 15 year old BOYS!! Old timers ... Barbara Eden hands down! However, I saw Jacilyn Smith on a Becker a few years back and she looked as good now as then. steveOrino -
I ahve a funeral to go to and I have a medium to dark gray suit, but my ties are out of date. The wife wants me to get a new tie for the funeral. What is in now? Twas the day years ago, it had to be striped, then paisly, then geometric, then a solid monochromatic color. I'm clueless these days as the circles I run in no one wears a suit for anything. Even most funerals and weddings. But I prefer a suit for a funeral. steveOrino

Lord know the real answer should be NONE (and I like some country) But here in Okie-home we get that request every now and then. I try to avoid Tim McGraw's "Live like you were dying" but it got requested a lot a few years back. Shania Twain's "Up" Has a decent beat. Other than that .... steveOrino

My youngest son has Asperger's Syndrome (sometimes referred as high-functioning autism) He wasn't diagnosed until he was 20 when I was working with autistic kids and noticed similarities between the AS kids and my son. I talked to the Pyschologist and she said I should have him tested. Yep, he had Asperger's Syndrome. Well, at least now we know and so does he. It helps his world make more sense. In the USA, 1 out of 94 boys born today will have autism. It is a growing epidemic and we don't know what causes this. Some say genetics, others say vaccinations, but we still don't know. We need to put money into this and stop it like we did polio when I was a kid. steveOrino

Uncle Sam threw me out many times between 77-80. I enjoyed it some, but round parachutes were not that much fun and I was dirt poor. Accelerate 20 years later and while I'm not rich I have "some" disposable income now that my kids are grown. I ventured back on a whim one Saturday and the rest is history. 1200+ jumps later I enjoy it as much as the first. steveOrino
