  1. Yes - religion of peace. You think one powerpoint presentation made by americans to stir up ridiculous propaganda changes that? While I believe this presentation is not representative of Islam in general, it does seem to apply to more than tiny splinter group of the religion. This ranks right up their with the Bush - Hitler comparisons... talk about ridiculous propaganda. Speaking of narrow minded, did you see that nonsense likening the US to Islamic terrorists.
  2. Well.. you just keep trying to emulate Limbaugh and Coulter. Maybe someday you'll get your big break.
  3. Trying to make sure that our country doesn't repeat mistakes that have made my nation and family less safe. How is your family less safe? What are you doing to remedy that situation?
  4. I think it doesn't matter what people are saying in Indiana or Massachusetts or any of the other shoo-in States. It will come done to the swing States like Ohio, Penn. or Fla. If a Democrat can win the swing states, he/she will win the election.
  5. Yeah. And I certainly don't buy into that "We're heading to a Police State" silliness either.
  6. Overly aggressive when arresting the average motorist???? And just how many times have you been present to such displays of aggression? Throughout my life I've had numerous run-ins with cops - maybe 20 or so. I've been arrested a few times, mostly alcohol related offenses. I don't recall a single time where a cop was "overly aggressive". too pissed to remeber eh? you want to drink less youth
  7. Produce a single post where I've said anything that would indicate I'm a neocon. Just one. What I've noticed on this forum is that there are some posters who hold extremist views... I mean they post stuff way out there in La La Land. You know, crap like the 9/11 attack was carried out by our own people or cries about all our rights being taken away etc. And when someone points out how flimsy these positions are, they get labeled as a member of the opposition's extremist camp. It's about being able to distinguish the shades of gray.
  8. Anyone catch the Interpol story on 60 Minutes, last night? I liked everything I saw about the organization. On the flip side, it sucked that they get so little funding and that governments are so reluctant to share information.
  9. Yeah. 'Cos that guy's a really well known pundit like Coulter is Shifting the goal posts, eh?
  10. I'm a REALIST, too. I wonder how Amazon scored? I also wonder if she learned the definition of NEOCON. That might help her avoid misusing the term so frequently. Here's another link to the quiz: http://www.csmonitor.com/specials/neocon/neoconQuiz.html

  12. Have you been paying attention to the US stock markets, lately?
  13. Oh so going as part of their party structure to further the agenda of the Religeous Wrong and their own personal power isnt what is really going on....ok got you.. If you believe what you posted you are in need of a reality check. Do you think using childish terms like religious wrong, rePUBICans or lush rimjob actually makes you sound smarter? The all seem so third grade? I was just wondering why they are so frequently a part of your posts.
  14. Good points. I was looking at it from a simplistic point of view -investors seeking the highest return for the stock they own.
  15. What is it that I don't understand? But why European, Asian and Canadian companies buying US stock at a record pace? True. But the fact that foreign companies are loading up at a record pace is indicative of their sentiment, don't you think?
  16. Totally missing the point again.. but not unexpected. He is a closeted man who likes that whole bathroom sex thing...with other men.. yet he abhors his little indiscretions so much that he feels the need to persecute others like himself... just as many closeted homosexuals do.. so he can prove to his good ole boy friends that he is not in point of fact a homosexual.. The rePUBICan party certainly seems to be rife with this activity.... If he were a dem... I highly doubt he would be supporting the draconian bullshit that the rePUBICans have latched onto as a divisive issue.. Yall just gotta have something to be against.. you just caint help yourselves. What are you saying? That we should only condemn sleazy, unacceptable and illegal behavior in our elected leaders, if they publicly oppose such behavior? Why not condemn them because we find their behavior inappropriate, regardless of their official stances?
  17. Perhaps you're misreading the charts? What charts? You posted a link to a table for 2005, which is where I got my number of 7163. asked and answered. Not really. Read the report from the Department of Justice; it encompasses *all* reported bias crimes. The FBI report only includes the crimes they investigated. WRONG! Consistently getting your numbers wrong and using them to paint a dishonest picture doesn't really help your case, either. Wow - that's quite a leap.
  18. Bullshit. The FBI's UCR claim's 11,000 hate crimes/year? Bullshit! According to the FBI's UCR, the vast majority of hate crimes are against people of color? Bullshit! What a complete load of uninformed BULLSHIT!!! Get it right. Well...the FBI usually gets it right. Hatewatch has less conservative numbers, so I went with the most conservative report I'm aware of. for 2005. 2006 shows 10, 240 crimes. For 2007, I rounded it down to 11,000 based on the increase between 2002 and 2006. According to the FBI, there were 9730 incidents of hate crime in 2001. It was down to 7649 on 2004. And even lower, to 7163 in 2005. How did you get that 11,000 number? You said "According to the FBI's UCR, the vast majority of hate crimes are against people of color? That's 3091 out of 7163. Not a majority. Clearly not a vast majority. You got to wonder why this report has figures 20 times greater than the FBI's figures. Assuming this report is correct, did you see where it said 85% of hate crime victims were white? When was that? I don't recall. But I do recall someone posting "Fuck you, Aryan coward." Was that you?
  19. What is it you don't understand?
  20. Doesn't this ignore the amount of gasoline/crude/energy required to produce ethanol? Is this like that question "if you start with a penny and double your amount every day, for 30 days, how much money will you end up with?" In other words - where will we get the corn to produce 140 billion gallons of ethanol each year? Meanwhile the price of corn has risen 75% in the last two years. So the price of E85 is going to be 1/2 of the price of gasoline? With what kind of subsidies?
