Al Gore and the UN Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

I though the U.S. was the only major country. All others being minor. We recently lost the top position for CO2 emissions. -
Al Gore and the UN Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Excellent point! The climate "experts" have predicted above average activity for the last two hurricane seasons, both of which have been relatively tame. Hurray for Bush! Hurray for Bush! He saved us from the hurricanes!!! -

There's us... and China... and India... and Russia... and Australia...... -
That statement would make it hypocritical for you to indulge in candidate critique yourself, wouldn't it? Unless you happen to be an anonymous ex-president posting here... I think you're missing the point about ex-Presidents criticising sitting Presidents.

Nice interpretation, Bill.

It's a good thing. Otherwise, you'd be in a shitload of trouble for all the off-tangent replies you post. I always am. Perhaps, someday you'll provide some worth noting.
-
And I do. That's actually my point: it's getting old. If only they'd get the respect everyone gives Christians.

Of course, you don't hear about those people in the homogeneous neighborhoods making a spectacle of themselves about the absence of racism. I recently saw a young girl on TV, who was getting on a bus to Jena, LA. She was talking about how brave MLK had been during all those civil rights marches... how she had always wished she could do something that brave... and that now she going to be able to do just that. Now that the Jena 6 story has passed (for now), it's interesting to find out which details were left out of the mainstream reporting and which details were embellished.

Something an ostrich might say. We all see what we want to see. If people are convinced racism and intolerance are widespread, I'm sure they will be able to find examples to justify their point of view... whether or not it's realistic.

There are some people who are in your close circle of friends, some that you just ignore, and others who you just tolerate their presence. You've never borrowed money? Never needed to apply for employment? Needed help with a flat tire, wanted to attend an event, sit on a particular bench or under a particular tree? And wanted to be accepted equally outside your "circle of close friends?" Sounds like problems from 50-60 years ago.

LOL I bet you actually believe that was the cause of his inability to implement his policies. Of maybe it was because he was ineffective as CIC. You assume altogether too much about what I believe. So true. Your posts on this forum are always so unpredictable and varied. It's just so hard to get a read on you. I could never anticipate what your take might be on a given subject. This last bit, with the "you assume"... pure comedic genius.

Of course, your reply doesn't answer my question, now does it? I thought the source was cited. If your post actually answered my question you might have a point. Providing data I didn't ask for. Good show ol' boy. Sadly, I don't think you get it. Maybe this will help. The number working Americans with no health coverage is much lower than the number working Americans with no employee-based health coverage. Big distinction.

It seems to me that most of the people who scream and rant about racism are themselves models of intolerance.

Nice twist. THE FACT IS, the law in the UK was followed. No actism here. The FACTS were presented in a court of law and your side got thier asses kicked. Fucking painful for you. Too bad. The "activism" claim is just another deversion for you and yours to justify the loss It looks like they're going with the tactic of: "If you throw enough bullshit up against the wall, some of it is bound to stick"
-
Of course, your reply doesn't answer my question, now does it? But I did like this part:
-
You have to remember that he was the first elected President after Watergate, and Congress was in no mood at all to cut any slack to the executive branch. I strongly suspect that any president elected in 1976 would have had just as difficult a time as JEC. LOL I bet you actually believe that was the cause of his inability to imploement his policies. Of maybe it was because he was ineffective as CIC.

40% of working Americans have no health coverage? Where'd you get that?
-
Of course, the less well off will be given special "free" passes for such programs.

Meet The Next President of The United States of America
NCclimber replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
For someone who doesn't know much about american politics - what is scary about obama - what does he stand for? I saw him on TV the other night and my friends comment was "he seems a bit smarter than the current one!" The USA is not ready for a smart black president, or a smart female president. Nice talking point. Funny. It's been my experience that most of the people critical of Obama sit on the left side of the aisle. -
That explains why the wettest region in the US is the Southeast (including TN and KY) and three of the 10 driest cities are in Montana. Why does it seem like you get less and less rain as you head down the western coastline?
-
Nah. It's much easier for all the politicians in DC to focus on the current deficit, which always seem to sidestep long term obligations.
-
Hey... let's throw unfunded Medicaid, Social Security, etc. promises into the mix. Then our debt rises dramatically to a total of $59.1 Trillion. Makes the financial aspects of universal healthcare that much more appealing, eh?
-

Here's an old thread about the same topic. It has a different test. I posted this because the test you linked seemed incredibly slow. I bailed on it. On the last test, I scored four planets. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=2690570;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25;
