    12 and 5 year old. They are around skydiving a lot and think it's pretty cool, but have no interest in it. Most kids that hang at DZ"s end up normal...most... They love the tunnel.

    What about all the 1,000 + jump people who hook themselves in? There are lots of them but nobody says they were under the wrong wing. Perhaps it is not such a good feeling to gloat about a more experienced jumper fucking up Good point. I have stated here before... "Some of the dumbest shit I have ever seen at a drop zone was done by 1,000+ jump wonders".

    Education is the answer not regulation. And if some don't want to learn its their life and their choice. Ever heard of this word called freedom? Its pretty cool! The problem with freedom at the DZ is that it sometimes ends up killing the innocent. And some one has to come out and mop up the mess.

    The Cal Fire EMS division is going to approve CE's for this training. It appears we will have 12 FD units and 2 Mercy Air helicopters and AMR ambulance in attendance. The Cal Fire training division is going to film the entire training on the first day and edit it. I have asked for DVD copies so I can get them out to anyone intersted in doing a like program for your home DZ. I hope they will be available for mailing by October some time.

    CRW training doesn't do a thing for the guy that gets hit from above and behind. I get your point, but the only thing that really prevents collisions is getting heads out of asses from the jumpers, to the instructors to the DZO's.

    On September 26, 28 and 30 I will be hosting EMS training days with Cal Fire's Perris Battalion , AMR ambulance and Mercy Air crews. The training will be from 0900-1200. The same subject matter will be covered on each day. We are doing a three day course this time to ensure all three FD shifts get trained. If you are a local SoCal jumper with medical training (Basic First Aid to MD) and would like to attend, please let me know. We are going to film some portions of the training and make it available to all DZ's medical teams.

    All around nice guy Marv Trudeau died yesterday from injuries he suffered in a hang gliding accident. Marv was a Canadian jumper from BC. Whenever I would see him I was assured of a big smile, a kung fu grip handshake(Marv trimmed trees and was in great shape) and a "How's the wife and kids"? Marv was attending all of the big way camps and was working hard at being on the World Team. He was a guy that you knew you would share a laugh or two with every time he was at the DZ.
