It was an outdoor tunnel in Huckelhoven (don't know how to get those lame dots on the letter u), germany yesterday. I went there with my brother, and a couple of friends (all recently born skydivers..:). We had great fun, but man it's difficult. The outdoor tunnel wasn't anything like a real skydive...Waaaay way harder. After a few (pretty nasty:) attempts I managed to do some turns, frontloops and a sit. Great fun...but rather expensive pic attached JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Just cut 2 triangles (so they fit on the sorta triangle the chin-strap makes) from fabric and knit them onto each other, invert it (so the seems are on the inside) and then sew that onto one of the ears. You'll have a nice pocket in one ear where you can fit your dytter in. If you make one of the two pieces a bit longer on the top and attach some velcro you'll also be close the pocket (so the dytter won't fall out if your helm is on the floor upside down or anything) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Wouldn't want to be walking along with my chute when a rain of tiny lead-beads from a missed skyball comes down. You'll have a couple a hundred nice pinprick holes in your canopy..:) What would happen if someone would happen to bump the ball hard and it would release somewhere high up..would the lead shoot 'up'? I use a snowboard helmet for skydiving. It only cost about 35 bucks, is nice and warm, and the ears even fit my dytter (just sewn a small pocket in there) It's a great substitute if (like me) you don't have the bucks for the real thing. Only thing to watch is if it protects your ears, and if it doesn't have any nasty edges that could snatch a line or riser.. The fact that I'm so pro-pack your own rig, is mainly because we don't have packers at our DZ (okay..I'm jalous:)...the few times I went to Teuge I was a lazy bitch too and just payd a packer...waay easyer.. But in the end it does cost you one jump per day if you're not a cute girl who makes pretty pictures for everyone and get free packjobs.......but again...just jalous... At my DZ (Paraclub Flevo - Holland) people are tought to pack from jump #1, so everyone knows how to pack a parachute and people packing for someone else for money are a rare site (there are no packers working at our club) There was this guy that came jumping, he had 600 jumps, and had NEVER ever packed a parachute...hows that for being lazy :) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Yea, but that's if you go all the way to 350 km hight...I would be more then happy to just go to 40.000 or so for a $1000 or so..just once..for the heck of it... We'd have to ask if we can borrow it one day a year for skydiving...although I gues it would still not qualify as the highest skydive made (no matter how high) since, you are jumping from a fixed object...? Forwars roll, just tuck your arms in, and bend at your waist (basicly do a roll how you would do it on the floor). You legs will get pushed up and you'll roll forward. If you stop here, you'll end up on your back or head-down. When you're rolling forward, tuck your legs in untill you facing earth again, and then stretch your legs again and open your arms.. Shameless plug, there is an avi of me doing a couple of frontloops at ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/public/misc/mccordia_solo_divx.avi When you watch it, you can also see a small problem I have..I always slightly roll over one side (slightly over my left/right shoulder), doing more of a judo-roll then a real flip... Darn..Do you know my provider just started adding those banners after I posted the pics? I used to get just the image when I clicked the link...this sucks..who does my provider think he is...I get unlimited webspace and traffic for free..what gives him the right to put banners on there!!...eehm...wait... And my canopy is pretty...I still think it's rather amusing that skyiving is the only sport where a guy with a pink parachute or (though sometimes doubtfull:) even a pink jumpsuit or pink gear can still have other guys looking at him in a 'damn he's cool' kinda way.. Would love to see someone walk into a gun-club, tennis club, or soccer/footbal club in his tight pink suit and impress his teammates..:) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

My own rig and chute! Made 14 jumps with it so far this month..I'm sooooo happy with it! It's a Coe-D 190 in cool groovy pimp colors and a vector rig and raven reserve.. I only got to jump once every 2 weeks or so, and bad weather and the whole foot and mouth thing with cows and such hit pretty hard in holland. I coulnd't jump from march untill june..which sucked bigtime! And even after my financial sitation didn't always allow jumping. For some reason my (now ex)GF didn't understand the need to eat dry crackers for a month so I could jump, instead of buying expensive food.. Thanx for all the cheers and congrats! And about coming to Holland..Great Idea..we'll tour a few dutch DZ's, and I'll show you how real men thunnel an exit :) And otherwise well pick a DZ on the Dutch/German border and meet on neutral grounds :) Gotta go, work work work.. I bought a cheep helmet just a few days ago. jumped with it yesterday, and it's great... Also a snowboard/skate helmet. Nice leather ear-protection (warm and sound-arm too..less noise from the plane/freefall..) and it looks sorta cool (right?) Next weekend we have a big (costumed:) party at the DZ and I'm buying a huge case of beer. There where only 10 or so people this sunday because most stayed home because they thought the weather sucked...to bad for the rest.:) But anyways..beer..this sunday..your all invited (If anyone actuly buys a ticket and comes here I'm gonna freak out..do you know what beer costs nowadays..damn euro) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Not that I think of myself as 'extreme', but I do like to keep life excitingby doing stuff like skydiving, motorcycling, snowboarding, climbing and a few other things. Although they are all pretty cool things, I don't 'show off' with it by wearing obvious T-Shirts/clothing with skydiving stuff on it (although keeping my mouth shut about it is something else:) But Shat always kinda makes me laugh is the typical couch-potato in the mall in his 'adventure' clothing, with a cool 'no fear' T-Shirt to top it off...while the most exciting thing he ever did probably was watching paint dry.. Dunno, just makes me laugh.. p.s. yesterday I watched downhill speed skating on Eurosport (TV Channel)...damn those guys go hard! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
