  1. If thats the same guy as in the soulflyers videos, its a costum suit he made himself (specificly designed with for backflying in mind) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. Spend the cash on jumps..have a good time.. And worry about suits and what to fly when the time comes... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. Thanx... Its part of my chin-experiments..sadly these things only last a week or so...Im a perfectly bald baby-boy again now And less alcohol in my blood then when that picture was taken, and an actual tan/colour...gone is the computer nerd look..*sigh* JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. SWEET! Love the tea-baggin! And dang, I was so jealous of Tristan (aka Arrowpoint) celebrating his fake B-day with those strippers in Amsterdam! The video will also be done and online within the next 2 or 3 days Sweet having you here man! Definately drop by again soon! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. Instead of a clear 'this is how it also could have been done/this is how I think it should have been done' discussion, it developed into a mud-wrestling match about ego's and skill....always fun to watch...but the people wrestling in the mud quite often end up not looking as good as they could have... And those are pro-tips coming from a professional mud wrestler! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. Something I dont completely agree with. The ton of two ways Ive done with Costyn the past years that tought me most stuff. Even though I got to flock and fly with several 'experienced bigname pilots' at boogies, its those week long 2 ways (doing 40 of them) that tought me most. Jumping with one friend for many, many jumps, and flying it fast, close and dynamic and at variable angles, can teach a person much more, then jumping in big static flocks with groups of 'more experienced' people. As is the whole jumpnumbers thing..I know people with only 200 wingsuit jumps, that could outfly (and by that I mean, dynamic flying, flocking aerobatics etc) a lot of people with double to triple that amount of jumps. Dont let jumpnumbers and 'who do you jumps with' be the only guide. Looking at Jebs (video)resume. When I see him fly underneath that bridge. Nearly fly back into a porter (aside from Deug, who actually flew back in, Jeb is the only person from who Ive actually SEEN video of doing that) so I do think skillwise he is at the high end of flying a wingsuit..yea.. Sure, he may look like a baby next to Loic when it came to that canopy docking thing. But I think 99,99% of all the people flying wingsuits would. I havent touched the wingtip of a gliderplane in my recent jumps at least *edit to add* The reason Im posting this, is that people first where talking about the stunt itself, and what went right/wrong. But now seem to be focussed on getting out every little thing they can remember about the person(s) involved. Discrediting their skills. Flying etc. And some statements, at least to me, dont seem completely fair? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. There is also a .wmv or quicktime version on the page (upper right corner) that should play fine (for those people who are watching it at work, at a company that doesnt have broadband...chance jobs!!) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. Sweet! Any news on your poopin' ass poopin' over to EU anytime soon? Whenever there's poopin' to be done, we'll be poopin'!! I must have just set some kind of poop record JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Same here..both in the wmv and MPG versions there is no sound. Too bad, as the sound of a wingsuit in freefall wooshing by would have made it even cooler.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. http://videostorage.prnewswire.com/storage2/27915/27915_pal.mpg Heavy download at 375 MB! But dang...just a short while ago we where joking about scraping trees and bushes in a wingsuit... Awesome stuff! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. We'll be jumping in two groups, One fast group, and a normal group. The fast one wil have a base thats flying at 95%..so you're going to have to work it..and flying in your V2 should not be too big a problem. If it is, we have some other suits with us to fly...we got ya covered JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. Side subject...Luc Maisin (#1 tracking at trackinderby) did his first wingsuit jump with us a few weeks ago, and absolutely floored a Classic, and flew it with speeds most people would already be in trouble with in their bigger suits damn good pilot.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. The biggest flaw in trackingderby.com is the use of 90 seconds of flighttime, and they meassure ground speed (distance) flown.. The winner will always be the person who gets most altitude, and just puts in the steepest dive with the highest ground speed.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. How about his neck? We needed two people to actualy help him stand up As for jumping. I think you'd be okay for the freefall part. But the opening would just break your neck, the mount and the helmet all at the same time The largest camera Ive seen someone jump (for a full boogie) was Andy Ford jumping his Canon XL1 a few years back.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. Even though Id love to agree, just to get someones panties in a twist, I dont think Ive ever heard/seen anyone fly anything sustained under 32 mph (over a whole skydive) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. Working on a boogie to get a formation like this flying with various skill levels. Getting the positive media attention. Making it happen.. The 'record' itself doesnt really matter..good flying..positive vibes and people working to show something like this is! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. Quoting myself..(ego thing) My initial comment was aimed at the skills people have/learn. Saskia called the S3 an advanced suit And my question was..what defines an advanced flyer? And what defines an intermediate flyer? My original point was..there are people out there that would do perfectly well in an S3 from jump #1. And there are people out there who fly the biggest baddest suit you can get, and still move forward at speeds any guy could do naked in tracking. I know flocks are getting faster and faster..and the overal skill level is increasing.. When you look at the Herc Boogie in 2004, where some of the first bigger formations where flown by people like Andy Ford, Scary Perry, Bo etc. and look where the dicipline has come since then..its amazing.. But flying at our true potential..its a long way off..it happens on some dives...and on more and more dives as the skill level increases. But on most jumps it doesnt. I think we just suck here compared to the flying you guys do, or we're just more honest...Ill leave that one up to you.. But most flocks I see (and fly in) dont have the tons of forward speed. Heavyer people need bigger suits to fly with more floaty flocks. Or they go low. But thats just fallrate..not forward speed.. If you guys are always flying legs out, full blown speed on every dive..why keep refering to one single 9 way you did as the big example? Id still glady come to the US and fly with you guys..either to have fun or have you 'show me the light' I'll have fun either way JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. Im not trying to get everyone into GTis or classics here, and wouldnt trade my current suit for a lesser one for anything in the world.. Most flocks..in terms of speed...COULD BE FLOWN IN A CLASSIC....not SHOULD be flown in a classic... The talented group of people you fly with may be smoking it as 200 mph forward on every jump. But I think most people who flock, only get those kind of dives (flights) when they have the right group of skilled people there.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. I know we are talking both forward and downward speed..and still stand by my orginal statement...which is exactly what you are also saying here.. The people you flock with may be flying faster..but most flocks are not.. We're talking about wingsuits/flocking in general..not about 9 talented individuals who do always fly suits at their full potential (in case that one comes up again) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. Hows this setup? The wingsuit openings are slower, so it doesnt hurt that much! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. And a small picture taken during a company promotion shoot past weekend JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. And god...the strippers... The promised to be back last year! Ill bring my tight fitting classic, just for that! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=5645 (file awaiting approval) Nothing fancy..just your average dirty flying fun flocks, and nice sunset jumps And I got to fly the Sfly for the first time...I like!! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. The goals Ive heard so far are actually quite far from the whole mass exit thing. Building smaller (20-ish people) formation, with good technical flying (predetermined slots) was the main focus for the week I believe.. But Scott wil definately have more info on that one.. The biggest mass exit thing..I think we'll get that one several times during the week. Just filling the plane up with 2 or 3 big dives..there doesnt even have to be a specific 'record' dive to succeed on that one..(although there probably will) 'The record' (to me) is the most un-important part of the whole week.. Flying beautifull formations is the #1 focus JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. Sweeeet! And nice stuff with the embedded videos on SDM! Definately swallowing my previous words! That was some mighty fine flying, and definately worthy an international mention! There arent that many formations flown with everyone in their slot, and the formation clearly visable and recognisable. And getting this done with a team who probably didnt jump together that much before this event! My clogs are off to all you lovely ladies p.s. who's the Dutchie, and how can we lure her to our flocking events in Holland JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
