Incorrect.. .VOB is DVD standard MPG2 files.. So renaming it .mpg wil work IF the computer he/she is trying to play it on has an active MPG2 decoder installed (any DVD playing software wil do) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Dude.. - there is nobody making you read this stuff with a gun to your head...if you dont care..then dont read.. - The BASE forum dissapearing probably left you lonely in front of you computer...maybe try and do something else with your time then just replying 'thats stupid' to everything - maybe find your SPAM folder, and read one those many emails about penis growth and respond to that...as you seem to have a deeply rooted problem with other peoples size and performance.. You basicaly answer this question yourself saying: The wind normaly detaches from the wings a short distance behind the leading edge already. Choosing a steaper angle means the wind starts to attach to the wing. Causing it the flutter and flap, as the wind starts to grab/attach itself to more of the wing on top You may not have a clean profile/body position, which means the wind never reaches a clean airflow. And keeps the flutter going. But seeing your performance is increasing, you're definately not doing something wrong. You just have to find out how to do it better.. Though writing how it feels helps a bit. Just getting a fellow pilot to follow and video you, or jumping with a good skilled coach, is the only thing that can accurately tell you what you're doing. And what you should or shouldnt change.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

It looks awesome... Wish I had the skills to enter in such a thing... Ill aim for the competition in 2012 (And hope Loic, Robi, James and those VKB boys have quit skydiving/base by then and picked up urban-golf or professional chessplaying, as they are the shizzle) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

To everyone that attended the boogie! Thank you for coming! We had a dozen or so flyers present. And all of them improved quite amazingly during the boogie! The last few jumps on sunday where all largely completed flocks. Quite a few (free) 1 on 1 jumps next to that And we also managed to get 3 new birds into the air, and give them a taste of real flying.. Spa...definately the center where more exciting stuff is going to happen next season! More news on that soon! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

That has got to be the sweetest toy ever! Quite funny how the most state of the art camera at this moment, will have many people asking you if thats a VHS camera from 15 years ago on top of your head JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Nice guide..I think people will appreachiate this. Especialy on smaller dropzones where there is no real guidence as to what to do and fly. Its going to take me a few more days to finalise it. But shortly, I'll be putting a free 20 page page pdf online at www.flylikebrick.com Together with Costyn and Alexandro we've been doing a lot of load organising and coaching the past two years. I decided to take what we're teaching and write it down for those interested. Its a big article with a lot of information on all stages of a jump. From exit, base exit positions, freefall speeds, approach to flying a slot, seperation and things to practice and long term goals etc. Its by no means ment as an 'ultimate guide to', and also not backed or payed for by any manufacturer or anything, its merely my personal views on where things are at, and where things are going to. Ive had quite a few 'big players' in the field read it and comment on the content. From well known load organisers, flyers to freefly coaches (and wingsuit instructors) from Babylon (Empuria Brava). Ill yell when its done and online, and am currious to hear peoples thoughts and comments. *small addition* Id be interested in someone being able to help me with a french and/or german translation to also put online. If you can (and are willing to put in some extra time, please shoot me a PM) and Im always looking for input. If there's anything you feel should be sayd or mentioned about flocking, flying or the current state of the dicipline and where it needs to go. Please say hi on MSN and lets talk (PM me for my MSN details) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

140 knots...pretty damn sweet to see the plane cruise on way bellow (the plane is not diving) We worked it up from 120 knots, going a bit faster every load. 10 knots at a time. Also tried a 150 knot exit, but that pretty much equaled the 140 knot exit in terms of hight. Its also a bit of timing thing..opening up at the exact time you hit the blast, and go to full flight at about 45 degree angle or so.. Just being half a second late only gets a margin of the altitude that possible if you get it right.. Have a bunch of sweet exits like this on tape. Ill show you the work in progres edit of 'winged and dangerous' sometime soon.. Lots of flybys, exits and other freaky shit.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Dont know if you guys have ever seen the nose of the skyvan from about 40 meters up? Holy shizzle! Dang I love this place.. There's one filmsy layer of cloudcover at about 5000 ft. Anything above and bellow that is clear blue skies. Having a ball...missing you guys And yea..video wil follow later..as usual JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I think a whole flight avg. of around 35 mph is about the best Ive seen. But there's probably (termanaly ill, incredibly skinny, 2 meter tall)people out there who can do even better... And competitions dont really mean anything if everyone out there isnt competing in it...UncleCharlie wasnt flying at Marl this year, and he can definately fly a lot longer times then what he did the previous year (which was already down to 38 mph or so if I recall correctly?) And from what I read, Robi could go way, way bellow those speeds.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Getting involved in a tandem emergency - would you?

I think a lawsuit should be the last thing on someones mind in something like this.. Quite scary that the whole sue-crazy culture can even lead to such a mindset? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
Getting involved in a tandem emergency - would you?
mccordia replied to Peej's topic in Photography and Video
Emergencies and 'what would I do' are always easy to talk about.. But when they happen in real life, you'll see people looking at it happening, but not responding in any way. And other ones jumping into action before they even realise they're doing it, and maybe saving someone life. I dont honestly believe anyone can say 'what Id do in that situation is..' unless you've been there before. 'This is how I hope to respond' is as far as Id go... And even then, skill comes in. A no drogue tandem accelating wil give even the best skydiver a run for his money I think? Luckely never witnessed any of these things. And hope Id be able to help out in case its possible... The only 'almost' emergency I ever witnessed was someone (probably the load before) who tied two floor seatbelts into a loop in a C206, which caught the tandempassenger, probably just before or during climbout (tandempair sitting in the door, belt around the lower part of the passengers leg, TI didnt see it) I was already out on the camera step and the TM was giving the ready, set...shake. So I blocked his exit and pushed them back in. The TM then spotted the problem, and we managed to fix it by disconnecting the two seatbelt. Quite lucky to have spotted that in time. Had this been spotted 2 seconds later, dispite any intentions of helping. I would be freefalling. And they'd be hanging from the plane. Being able to help in an emergency (next to wanting to, and being able to, skillwise and in terms of not 'freezing') is also a large matter of accidently spotting a problem in time, and at the same time, probably aso accidently being in the correct place to respond.. As nice as all these times are...they are quite meaningless without the actual altitude where you exited the aircraft? Seeing as the 'standards' for exit altitude vary per country, just sticking to the avg. mph over the whole jump is probably the best reference? As for your misreading on the neptune, slowing down a lot before opening (flaring/stalling your suit) can sometimes trick a neptune/protrack into not realising you opened. And continue recording your lower canopy fallrate as freefall. But it could just as well be an accurate reading. Everyone has his freaky jump every once in a while, where you get a fallrate and/or distance you cant seem to copy every time you try after that. Freak performance..being ultimately 'switched on'...it happens to everyone at some point I think.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

New video: Norway Terrain flying 2007
mccordia replied to unclecharlie95's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Amazing video..nothing but praise! Incredible! I'm just waiting for RedBull to put 20 meter windsocks up, to slalom through What always amazes me (dare I say 'amuses me') is knowing the experience you have. A ton of skydives and basejumps. All slowly working up to what we see in your videos. And then seeing basejumpers with 10 or so wingsuit jumps from a plane (from their total grand total of 150 jumps), call themselves experienced and go on and on about performance etc, and then jump of rocks and try and repeat the same thing you're doing here... In a big rush to also be one of the first to explore this new sub-dicipline of terrain flying. Just not backed up by the vast skill and experience you have accumulated over the years. Anyways..Little rant..not completely related to the amazing video..but Im good at it (ranting) so why not:) Cant wait to see whats next! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -

Its stil resting, on a tape...untill I finish up on the An72 and about a dozen more videos.. And (though we had a great time), there wasnt a whole lot of footage shot that didnt have foggy lenses and water on em, for some weird, cloudy reason..so I shifted my focus to the more spectaculair (but not less cloudy) footage from the An72 boogie first..
