  1. - men can finaly compare and talk about clothing and its fit without being labeled gay.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. Lots of good bottles of wine coming your way the night before I guess? Chris and Hans will most likely be doing most of the judging, and you will probably be shooting some nice outside-outside coveradge of the contest throughout the day (depending on what you want). Jumping and judging only when chris and hans seem to be scratching and biting at eachother ps. recieved the FYB package today. Including your demo's etc for the boogie. Just so you know. 3. Johan, The judging will be done by the judges during the competition, and only on the competition jumps. Gadget, Le Pat & Christ are the capable judges who will be looking at our backflailing and combat-docking attempts And think (just for the credit) we'll be calling it the SkyJester DoDo award Also a note.. there is a lot of talent walking around..make good use of the trainingday(s) by asking people for tips and input based on your trainingvideos or any other issues you may have. Weather forecast is looking sub-optimal, but 100% jumpable! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. - because its cool to brag about freefall times (without mentioning the 25K exit altitude thats standard on your home DZ) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. So when will you stop WRITING and start FLYING Yuri?? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. in line with that last one - because its the coolest way to destroy an antique WOII bomber JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. Again..a small bit of news for this thread consisting 99% of replies to my own messages Next to all the 'standard' prizes (1,2,3 and raffle prizes) we now also have a late addition by SkyJester. The DoDo award goes to the team with the most spectaculair (unintentional) funnel, twist, crash or (subtle/non lethal)collission during competition. The DoDo award entitles the team to a 100 euro CASH prize, and a lovely SkyJester Joy Stick. Also make note that those who ordered a boogie T-Shirt with Karin are entitled to the raffle prize of FREE cypres maintanance. On back-orders (have to look at Karin here? can we have back-orders?) you'll also be entered in the raffle for the cypres maintanance coupon. Cypres will also be present with a stand, stickers, info etc. During the prize 'ceremony' on friday-night, we'll ask everyone to put his/her name (jump card from the DZ) in a bucket, and we'll find out who wins the raffle prizes (3x 50% discount on an FYB suit, 50% Discount on a new Tonysuit etc). These raffle prizes will also be open to non-competitors (as long as you're flying a wingsuit). Also take note that PF, TonySuits and FlyYourBody will all have demo's with them for you to try (either before, during or after the comp.... as you wish and prefer). Extreme FlyWear (donating 3 pairs of freefly pants in team size/colours to the winning team) will most likely also be present with new swoop pants and other samples from their product line. p.s. Also heard that jeff is buying all the teams lots of free drinks the night before the competition! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. - You like a dicipline where lots of cash and windtunnels arent all you need to be able to play. Flying means jumping, and no other way to do it! - People already exposed you as a hack in other diciplines, so you see this new one as your ticket to stardom! - You like a dicipline that maintains the illusion its not your skills you need to work on, but rather another suit you need to buy! - You like a dicpline where amount of suits and fictive ratings you own are more important than actual flying ability. - You like a dicipline that doesnt bother with pussy basics such as 2 way and 4 way skills like RW and FF but rather enjoy jumping straight into the way cooler 40 ways and up. - You like a dicipline that allows for some rebelious actions at low experience levels....as that makes you look incredibly cool! - You like a dicipline where math can always be used to bullsh*t your way through discussions on actual flying skills - You like a dicipline where the manufacturer can be held responsible for your sucky flying, as the suit was clearly 0,1308 inches off in size - You like a dicipline where 99% of the action happens on the internet - You like a dicipline that has an exact list of people who most likely wont be there on the actual event 2 years ahead of us :) Hmmm...Maybe too dark for a T-shirt? And trying to fit this amount of text onto a shirt, only americans would be able to wear it ;) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Heyhey.. Just recieved the prizes from FlyYourBody, and also a correction on the previously mentioned Birdman Prizes. Cheques 600, 400 and 200 euros are up for grabs for the winning teams! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. Yea..thats where stuff gets challanging (and shitty). Weather here is awesome (and predicted to stay this way) so we're on for the competition. Looking forward to seeing the new Acro (and you guys and girls flying it) in action! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. Depends on your landings Check the article on wingsuit choice at http://www.flylikebrick.com/safety-training.php There is a section on materials in there. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. Yowyowyow! Just spoke to Spa, the weather is looking awesome for the coming week(s). And hoping it stays like that. The Skyvan has also arrived and is ready for action. Skydive Spa is sponsoring the event, so there is no extra money to be payd for entering the competition or (if you're there for the weekend fun) load organising.. Its all 'on da house'. The only thing we're asking is a tiny donation from all the teams (5 euro per team) for the extra prizes (on top of the prizes to be handed out by/through all the sponsors of course). Birdman has also donated 100, 200 and 400 euro money prizes, to be spent on their new street collection We will have 3 load organisers ready for action, for the moment the competition finishes. Alejandro "The Incredible" Lopez, Jarno "Sure to beat tony's ass" Cordia, and James "not without my Campos" Boole. Though we may shift the LO tickets around a bit, depending on what we're doing. Some backflying formations and other funky shizzle etc may be attempted. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. Empuria (may), An72, Marl, Ukraine.. Plenty to do..www.flylikebrick.com has a rough calander on the main page.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. That first picture is amazing (both in scenery, suit and body position). Hoping to see (and try) some of the new suits next weekend! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. Awesomeness! Wouldnt mind having this one as a huge print in my livingroom! Wingsuit art kicks ass! At the moment Im busy with dinosaurs (pet project) but thinking about creating a posed 3D wingsuit model for rapid prototyping/casting. Would be incredibly cool to have it on the mantle as a statue JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. Thats not possible in our euro-toilets with in-between-'look at ya poo'-landing-tablau But cant wait to see all the different flyers show their best! We truly have a talented bunch of people represented! Hope the event is a succes, and we manage to get everyone capable of flying to Spa next year (will try and see if Skyjester is interested in combining events then, AND organise it close to An72) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. http://www.flybirdman.com/learn/rr/workout.html This has also been online for quite some time.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. Lots of late night web-surfing could help, though you'll probably end up making verry crisp right-hand turns JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. News We now have 8 teams confirmed, 1 team still not sure (DNB Nord)We now have a Fench version of the website online as well at http://wingsuitcompetition.com/index_fr.htmWe are looking for one more person to help out in judging, send me a PM if you're interestedgrounded caravans and broken wrists have miraculously healed after April foolsSkyvan will most likely be the jumpcraft for the competitionJumprun will be crosswind. All flyers exit, make a 90 degree turn and fly a straight line JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. On the few full altitude 'full flights' Ive done, Ive actually resorted to pulling slighly higher due to arm fattigue, after taking just half a second more to pull than Id normaly like on a previous jump.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. I picked that speed for a reason you know.. Although you do make me wonder if Dr Emmet Brown is talking about Camposs every time he is amazed or shocked.. Great Scott! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. I know its cool that the elderly people go online and stuff...but Tony..please try and put some study into how the quote/reply function works.. But the plan with the van sounds cool...I say we get a car at Spa, and tie someone to the roof, drive 88mph and call it training! Haha..what idiot would do that! ooh wait...Felix already did JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. Love the new grippers. Would like to see them actually come down a bit lower to allow for docks on the ankle (more clear of the slight wake/turbulence behind the armwings). But thats probably more my personal preference, than an actual real necessity Inflation looks solid. Colours are not my favorite, but still far from ugly (unlike Tristan and his eternal "Its not green..its teal!" tasteless choice that even makes a colourblind person shiver and look away in horror) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. Yea...this pic would have been much cooler (and cheeper in terms of 'money flying') with old trusty classics flown with straight legs JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. Reviving an old thread, as this video is not worth a new one... But for those hungry for some moving wingsuit pixels, there's a wee bit of wingsuit stuff in this video. Its all 'accidental' footage, without any thought on framing or even watching in the general direction of where I should be watching. But for those stuck in the office, it may be a nice break from work JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
