  1. Wikipedia is a great source, but do remember its content submitted by the users. If I get enough people to submit that blue is actually red, ponies can fly, my new sideburns look cool, midget-tossing is Hollands national sport and elvis isnt dead, than thats what it reads as well... 2. Depending on which language you speak, most dictionaries define flying as 'having control over ones direction' and would thereby even class normal freefall as flying. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. We will have my little pony helmet stickers as proof of registration JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. This going to be cool! Just a short note organising-wise, as some people asked about LO-fee for just dropping by one or two days. Its been decided that 10 euros per day is the minimum fee (up to 2 days) for the normal fee of 30 euros you get the rest of the week for free We will have 3 Load organisers (and an additional camera flyer) so plenty of video and pretty pix guaranteed! 5. Side subject, Adding to one of the 20 or so existing CX100/CX105 threads also would have been nice Also makes it easier for people using the search function in the future...one thread with all info/questions on this camera.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. We need some #1 votes now JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. Okay everyone, lets work hard to keep this one at 50% JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. The stuff about the pony, or the wingsuit comments? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Hey..he's flying an XS Awesome stuff! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. Beginners also fly suits with quite a nice/wide legstance. The wider ones do give additional stability, and its a feature you find in almost all newer introduction/starting level wingsuits. The Skyflyer1 is roughly the only wingsuit out there with a legstance so small it could be called 'unstable'. But even on that one, its only noticable when pushing for maximum flight. And as to your thread title...no single question is stupid...the only stupid question is the one that isnt asked while wanting to know.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. You're more than welcome to join. We can hook you up with people for 2 ways, and (depending on skill a bit of course) probably get you into the beginner group pretty soon, and get you up and flying in some nice formations. Just come and say hi the moment you touch ground at Empuria, and we'll get you sorted JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. A wide legwing is part of what sets the pitch angle of a wingsuit. This is what determines the forward drive (speed/glide), allong with previously mentioned improved stability. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. The weather forecast promised clear blue skies and a mild breeze, but sadly (after most people got up at 4:00 am to be there in time) we had to end the day pretty early, with a cancelation due to bad weather (low cloud cieling and mild rain). Which was weird (and sh*tty) looking at the clear blue skies we've had for the whole week up untill now (and probably again tomorrow). We will set up this event again for the start of next month, and we will contact everyone again with a proposed date soon. For the next event we will (again) have a press balloon for wingsuit flybys. Everyone eager to be there, just shoot us an email at flylikebrick@gmail.com and we will send you further details/dates as soon as we have em! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Having seen the film quite a few times already (I did the dvd menus, one short edit and some title work) I can honestly say this thing impressed me, and still does every time I put it on (for both whuffos and exp. skydivers) Roberts flying, combined with Bois editing...its truly awe-inspiring watching the flying (Id call it wingsuit mountain carving...). Definitily a must see.. And yes..Ill probablyy get labeled biased as can be due to my PF allience, but working on a video or DVD poject, im usually sick of it by the time its done. And even I keep popping this one back iinto the DVD player time and time again... Must watch dvd! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. Shame, as you would often come across much more intelligent if we didnt understand all of the crap you usually utter And I like Ueli's accent. It gives of this cool artist/mad-sceintist vibe JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

  20. Heyhey! Last weekend the weather didnt cooperate, but the weather forecast for the coming week is nothing short of amazing. We have the two biggest hot air balloons of Europe there for the drop, plus an additional press balloon for the media. If you want to join in on this one, send us an email at flylikebrick@gmail.com before midnight tonight, so we can ad your name to the list that we need to supply the balloon company tomorrow morning. We'll be getting 7000 ft of altitude. BASE gear is allowed (pinrigs only). Expect some serious pictures and video after the weekend! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. Small addition (just for general knowledge) the factory is currently working at full steam and for the Phantom2 has a quoted lead time of 2,5 to 3 weeks. And the Phantom2 orders we've put through so far have all arrived lightning fast... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. I can only speak for PF. But the last Phantom2 orders Ive put through made it from submitted PDF/order form to a suit on someones doorstep in under a month. For some suits the wait can be longer due to the amount of orders for that particular model, but in general, ordering one or two months before you intend to fly is more than enough. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. It can, by pressing pause and then slowmo play quick. Not the handiest way of doing things, but its possible yea.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. There we go! NEVER post a new suit without a pony! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. Having flown both suits, I think they are equal in terms of stability and ease of flying. But the newer Phantom2 does perform a lot better with regards to solid inflation and forward drive (in part due to the much larger legwing). Both make fine beginner suits, and (depending on your skill/build) will be all you ever need to have fun in the sky with everyone. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
