  1. I've met a ton of the men from dz.com. The vast majority of them are decent and I'm glad to call them my friends. Andie, even though we have never actually met yet, I would hope that U consider me in that group!?
  2. Well, the weather didn't particularly cooperate for the group of about 40-50 friends of Mom's and my family that were on the golf course at my dad's house But the dive was a success! We were about 20 minutes behind the scheduled exit time but at least encountered no rain! The jump ended up smaller than planned as a 13way instead of about 20 but there were some late cancellations. The exit with Mike Snowden and Myself was event free with 5 floaters and the rest diving. 1 jumper got burbled by our camera guy that missed the count but the others all got in. I had a little issue with the pullup chord I had attached to the d-bag momentarily before deployment but was able to get the ashes out by about 7000' without incident. We built the first point but after deployment several grips were dropped and were not closing so I waved everyone and deployed at 5000'. 10 of us landed on the course mostly in front of the waiting crowd and news media. 2 landed on the golf course next door without incident. A very special thanks to Steve Boyd(dzo),Hoop Williams(ground crew) Rabbit Staib(Pilot),Daniel (who pulled off to fly right seat). And to the jumpers that made this a reality; Jim Alkek-Gemini Angela Batize Mike Blanton Fred Clark Rich Delgado Ellie Estrada-Rico((pov video) Tom Martin Joe Nichols Larrisa Nichols Ginger Snowden Mike Snowden Rich Williams Mom(a little grainy!) Myself Mykel Poole (Video!) Anomoly was unavailable and the others were just unable to attend for various reasons but all sent best wishes! There will be an article in the Houston Chronicle.com tomorrow 12/30/2004 Video will also be sent to Channell 11 which called me today with the desire to be there and film it but were short handed because of the holidays. Blue skies my angel! Thanks for letting me take you up!

  5. I just broke down the package and placed them in the D bag. God bless Jack Berke for taking care of the D bag! He went A ton out of his way to not only make it but to bring it all the way to on the other side of town for me! Jack Rocks!
  6. An ash bag is being delivered to me this afternoon made by renowned jumper, Jack Berke. Unfortunately he has much experience with these. It's disposable, I'll let you know after I see it.
  7. The last number I heard early this morning the count had well surpassed 29,000 verified. This is truly an world tragedy! Prayers to the survivors.
  8. If it's real sunshine you're lacking it's a vitamin D deficiency. If it's "Sunshine" you're missing, stress mgmt!
  9. Wow, it sounds so lovely. Please be sure to show us a video of it. I'm sure that your mother/angel will be there watching and flying along. She'll be there in soul with her ashes in tow!
  10. How about double connected stars to release into a big heart after the release. Jack Berke from "Deguello" has made the release bag for the dive.
  11. Markus, If you hadn't had to move back to Germany, you would have been on it!
  12. Wish I could be there for it, work runs my life though. That's called responsibility!
  13. Got clearance from the FAA yesterday To do Mom's ash dive over Suger Creek Country Club in Sugarlnd,Tx. tomorrow. Looks like about a 20 way+ 2 videos and the weather forcast looks great! A friend in public relations may even get newspaper and/or TV coverage for the release of my angel's ashes! Sometimes in the midst of life kinda sucking somethings just rock! Thanks alot to Steve Boyd, dzo of Skydive Spaceland for making this a reality!
  14. At an Airspeed camp I went to there was a guy with 2-3 jumps. First day he could hardly get in the tunnel second day he was doing everything including knee turns! His instructors didn't even know that he was going!

  19. In my opinion it dosen't matter who shows up for the NFC, they are just lunch for the AFC!
  20. Thank Jimmy and know that if you want something bad enough you will find a way to work hard enough to be able to do it! If you can't then take a break. this isn't golf!
  21. Yesterday it snowed like a bitch in Houston! Not a flurry but was actually pouring down snow! Everything outside was white. I guess Mom was just knocking the dust from her wings to let us know that she was still around!
