Spanish Muslims Issue Fatwa Against Bin Laden

You have nothing better to add to your initial insults than this? "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Abortion (thread split from Canadian hunting thread)
kmcguffee replied to chuteless's topic in Speakers Corner
Since it's not a personal attack, I find that people who irately attack anyone who professes to hold religious beliefs are self centered, insecure, jerks. They immediately start refuting religion as a myth while believing every hypothesis science (the religion of the elite class) provides without question. BTW, this is just an observation, not a personal attack. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin -

Whatever the source, it's still a good quote. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin -
Abortion (thread split from Canadian hunting thread)

I believe that the father should have some input into the life or death of the unborn child also. The law forces a man to accept responsibility after it is born. Why should he get no input from conception to birth? I would be fairly upset if my wife aborted my child without consulting me first. This isn't just a woman's decision. LOL, that's a great quote Lawrocket. I've never heard that one. Kind of along the same lines, this is one that was posted at someones desk at work: "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin -
After having trained with and trained units of the British Army this comment strikes me as about the normal attitude of the general Brit soldier. One Infantry officer actually told me "I think our normal infantry units are as well trained as your Ranger Battalions". They also generally claimed that the only thing we had over them was more money and that they were of a generally higher caliber of soldier. I guess they believed that being British just made you better than everyone else. Of course they stopped the comparisons after we out shot them, out marched them, and generally knocked their dicks in the dirt during the training exercises. The British Army seems to have an inferiority complex nowdays. Yeah, I'm generalizing but so are you guys. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

I'm glad to see you're starting to come around Bill.

I level the playing field by giving the deer a rifle too. So far, I've been able to outshoot all of them. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Imminent not immediate. Immediate would mean he/she is in the process of attacking you. Imminent means that an attack is about to happen and they may or may not have begun that attack yet. You also don't have to be 100% positive that an attack is about to happen. You have to have a reasonable belief, my department, or probable cause, some other departments. Then you shoot until the threat is eliminated. You have to judge the shooting, according to the courts, based on the information that the cop had at the time of the shooting. Not based on 20/20 hindsight. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Received this picture today from the wife of a soldier currently in Iraq. Thanks guys. PS In case you can't read the patch underneath the US Flag in the main file I uploaded the full sized picture of the patch. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin -
Actually your full quote was: Which very clearly says that as long as people don't die from their failings, you would like to see Republicans fail. Which is what I explained in my original post. Maybe you would like to change what you said after thinking it over? Your original post was there for everyone to easily read. I'm not writing a book from some obscure source. I was replying to a post in a forum with the original post readily available. Actually, you also wrote this: Which is what I was referring to. See the similarity? Thank you, I have found it to generally hold true in my experience too. As long as no one dies in the process, right? Nope, his initials are GWB not W. Don't let's not confuse ourselves. Ever heard the phrase "innocent until proven guilty"? All jury members should start with a presumption of innocence since it's the law and all, dude. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Don't worry about it. Before this the Dems were saying the economy was bad because of the lack of jobs, poor sales, and depressed manufacturing. Now that those are all looking good they are grabbing at different things to continue their argument. Remember how Kerry changed the equation for economic growth so that it would show the economy was bad. That is in the "How to be a Democrat" starter kit. I have a friend, police officer, in Maryland who was in plain clothes but carrying a pistol on his hip. He was wearing a jacket to keep it out of view. At a gas station he took off his jacket and threw it in the back seat just before getting into his car. An older lady, 50-55, ran up to his window and started screaming at him about wearing the pistol. She asked him why he thought he was allowed to wear a pistol. He said "because I'm a US Citizen". That really got her pissed. She said you can't do that around here. We're not like that. We don't believe in that whole constitution thingy (I added that part ). He finally pulled out his badge and told her to piss off. It's not just the government out there that is oppressive. Even the local populace sticks there nose in other people's business. I'm sure that this is the theory that the European press will run with: The Guardian is already suggesting a new conspiracy theory. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

There you go. You just supported his point. You want to see the country fail just because it will make the Republicans look bad. Ohhh, as long as no one dies from it. I have to say, as much as I disliked Clinton, I still wanted us to be successful in Somalia, Kosovo, and Iraq. I still wanted the country to be successful. The problem is that most of the Dems feel the same way this idiot does. It's why they fight everything that the Republicans try to do whether it is good or not. They would prefer nothing happen rather than something good happen that would make the president look good. It's disheartening. But don't threaten their patriotism. That's not PC. It's just a different kind of patriotism. W "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

I'm not so sure about that. From here http://ron.dotson.net/guns/Britain.htm The belief that Europe is non-violent and of higher breeding than other parts of the world is rather prevalent in Europe. It just doesn't seem to be fact. In talking to European police agencies they seem very unwilling to air their dirty laundry. It must be something in the culture. The Eastern European countries are much more direct and helpful. Remember, that was a movie. It was not reality. A gun doesn't change a person, a bullet does not immediately kill a person, a bullet does not make a person fly back when hit, shooting a pistol with one hand is extremely inaccurate even by professionals, guns do not have unlimited ammo, holding a gun with your finger on the trigger is a bad idea unless you are ready to shoot, one person shooting two pistols at the same time looks cool but is highly ineffetive, pistol shots over 25 yds are extremely hard especially when running, jumping, and rolling, most explosions do not make a fire ball, etc. Be careful about judging real life by Hollywood's standards. It isn't a matter of cowardice or bravery. It's a matter of doing what needs to be done to protect innocent members of your society. IOW, doing what is right. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

***Hypocrite. If it was a site that ridiculed conservative Moslem garments for women, you'd be apoplectic with PC righteousness.Quote Mark you're forgetting the rules of the left. You have to be PC unless you are bashing Christians or Republicans. Get your act straight. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

If you know or have reason to suspect an innocent is behind your aim point then don't shoot. But that was not what you said in your original post. You said "could I expect that little girl to be there? No." So, in your situation you had no reason to believe their was someone behind your point of aim. Based on this statement, you have made the right decision. Don't ever carry one if you don't have the will to use it. It's a lot easier to not get involved and claim that something may have went wrong if you would have done anything. It's not your fault and not your business if the perp wants to kill someone else. Right? "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Yeah, who would doubt the word of Dr Anmar Uday and Dr Harith a-Houssona. The Baghdad Broadcasting Channel surely wouldn't slant news or only report what they want people to believe. It has to be the Americans who are lying and controlling the media. BTW, who do you believe is preventing us from reading this liberal fiction you call news? I commanded in the 101st Airborne with the Ranger company commander involved in that rescue. I ran into him at the memorial service for my former company XO who was killed in Iraq last year. Lynch was a Pfc and really had no clue what was going on during that rescue. First hand info from the guys conducting the rescue says It was not a grandstand. To echo others, you've been watching too much CNN. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

If they are running for cover with a weapon, turning to pick up a gun, spun around after lunging for the officer's gun, running away after shooting a person (defending others not self). There are lots of ways shooting someone in the upper back can be self defense. You don't have to wait until they are actively attacking you before defending yourself. You only have to have a reasonable belief (level varies by department) that they pose an imminent threat of death or serious injury to yourself or others.
